ICONIC PERFORMANCE!! ANDREA BOCELLI , CELINE DION - THE PRAYER (REACTION) 

Don’t know if you all are aware, but unfortunately, Celine is very ill with some type of neurological disorder, tremors…that has caused her to lose the ability to sing. She made a video about 2 months ago and looked rather unwell. I hope she gets good care and is able to overcome this illness and can sing again soon.

Andrea Boceli's voice is amazing and he is such an iconic singer. I didn't know that he is blind. He and Celine sang beautifully together. Two other fantastic Celine Dion duets you guys need to check out are "Tell Him" where she duets with the one and only Barbara Streisand and "Beauty and the Beast" where she duets with Peobo Bryson. That song is the title track to one of my favorite films "Beauty and the Beast" ( Disney animated version). You guys are great 😊😊

Andrea Bocelli is my favorite singer the world over and I found out he was coming to New Orleans for the first time (just this past Feb.). I DIED!! I bought a ticket right then! They joked around at work because it was all I could talk about for a month leading up to it😄I had to change into my gown at work (in a kitchen mind you) and rush out to make the concert. Y'all. I could only afford the nosebleeds but there was a problem with my seat....they upgraded me from a $130 seat to a $1200 seat!!!! I was 30 feet away from him🤩 It was among one of THE BEST experiences of my life. Thank you so much for sharing this reaction with us. It was beautiful to see you experience the emotion he invokes. There couldn't have been a better artist than Celine Dion to perform with him. If you want a truly mindblowing performance check out "Time to Say Goodbye". Most people actually recognize the song but it was written FOR his voice specifically. It showcases his voice's power more than anything.

Celine is French Canadian from outside of Montreal QC French is a Latin Language and of course also is a Latin Language so there are similarities. On a video that was done about her shows in Vegas. She sang in Italian and her brother is the stage manager and he follows her in every song word by word. He explained that a song in Italian is sung phonetically. She is amazing and an amazing voice. You should also check out a duet she dis with Pavarotti before he passed away. She has paired up with some real greats and never backs down and always holds her own.

GOOSEBUMPS GOOSEBUMPS...and I've heard /watched this many times! Yes, he's Italian and he's also blind but man oh man I love his voice. I don't speak or understand Italian but I don't care, I've got 3 or 4 of his cds and he sings in both languages on every one. And Celine, she's got the most incredible voice, she's definitely Canada's treasure 🇨🇦

Oh wow, thanks for playing this song, it brought back many great memories. In 2011, my vocal coach had me learn this so we could duet at a concert her husband was putting on. I had to learn the Italian version. We performed it at least 10 times over the next couple of years. We did fine, but not as good as the original. The funny thing is, at the same concert, we also sang the song Alone In the Universe from Seussical, so totally different.

It is very nice but other singers did cover this song too. Each putting something different. Pentatonix did also a very nice version . Personally my prefered version is the one with the two Thomas sisters, Lucy and Martha. Their angelic voices and looks complement perfectly the meanings of the song.🤗👍👍👍

There is another great version of this song with Celine Dion and Josh Groban who was about 17 and had to stand in for Andrea Bocelli at a rehearsal.

I wish I could live in her prime (90s-2000s) just to be able to listen to her and experience her amazing talent closely … so sad that she can’t perform anymore (at least from what I know now)
