Ahh nostalgia, the ICS MP5 was my first AEG. Never messed with it but it cracked the front end of the gearbox off. Then my cheap replacement box never quite worked right. Wish I had your videos 15 years ago

Nice job on the MP5. Night and day difference on the gear noise. SOOOO much better and nice catches on the mistakes the previous builder did. Also! You and I have identical tools. Feels like we have the same taste haha.
Totally get what you’re saying about not gluing bushings in, but I would say there are scenarios where it makes sense on cheap gearboxes. If the gearbox is new, the bushings centre fine but are slightly loose, then glue them in and they won’t spin and knacker the shell. It does mean the build takes longer overall especially as I find to get the best results, you need to leave them to set overnight. Whether that’s viable from a business point of view Depends if you can be getting on with over things in the meantime. As for expensive centering tools, you can just use an old broken gearset and shim it tight, works great in my experience.
I personally don't glue the bushings in unless the hole is loose or its a nice box like a ra. Even then I use loctite 638 and shim the gears and everything else before the glue dries. I leave the case closed with the gears inside wile it dries after to make sure everything is in alignment.

I know you hate r-hops. I went looking for anything that was easy and cheap that would help with maple leaf barrels since the window is a weird shape r-hop patches are just not an option I found s-hop aka sugru mold with a omega nub is super easy to make and soft enough to grab the bb perfectly. I told my local shop they had never heard of s-hop but tried it and now sell pre s-hopped barrels.i thought you might want test it out and maybe put a video up saying if it's shit or not it's definitely easier then r-hop patch probably about as good as a mr hop. But would like to know what you think.
You know what we Need luke is now to review W.E F17 from Asia electric guns as from videos on etc 5 year ago they were bad but I found a video that actually shunes the bad ones and is the main reason why I Brought one, it can work in winter weathers........ fully work and teen the person holding it and holding the camera were absolutely shocked it worked even when they buried it in a now for 30 mins and still work and use a mag buried for 40 mins and yes still work with the exception of lose fps but very little bit. I wad wondering why a £110 f17 with is the m17 can out proform the vfc one and thai is the secret from W.E they used a gas blowback system slide similar to ghk glock so that means the housing is cylinder and nozzle is the piston.... it work so well even cybergun that trademarked vfc is to this day still regretting going with vfc 😂😂😂😂 it's amazing how laoda say grt m17 grom vfc which costs over £250 when W.E version costs £110 and it realible in cold weather's now and you don't need worry about nozzle springs too as this g17 has a kick more then vfc and yet there hop up unit works

I have an interesting problem. I installed a clicker in my mp5 dsg and while the trigger acuates perfectly the auto rof has been reduced from 50rps to 10. Nobody ive spoken with including perun has any idea why. Thoughts?
@@NegativeAirsoftTech I appreciate your response but its 100% the clicker. I uninstalled it and reinstalled it several times. Each time its installed the rof is reduced, and when its uninstalled it returns to normal. No aspect of the clicker or trigger can touch the gears so it has to be some interference with the etu caused by the clicker. I've tested the movement of the sector gear with the clicker installed and there is no irregular contact on the gear or tappet plate.
@@jhqtech did you see a ROF change? Is that pelting on a 7.4v lipo? It is. I'm out on the piss but the perun hybrid controls everything aside from trigger response. More practice required ;-)
quick queston luke, does this model not come with the 3 lug or has it been changed? doesnt the mp5 a4 mostly all have the tri lug? fuck, alright 2 questions, i have a avalon mp5a4. i tried to buy a a5 stock but the only way to get it buying the whole a5. vfc taiwan couldnt sell one to me allegedly. how hard would it be to alter with a dremel this stockto work. just the flat surface on the outside of the rail slt makes it so much better it makes my balls tingle. i know im a twat i hate the o.e. style. furnitre on any mp5. im a twat and dont care my magpul and thumbpaddles are awesome so is my semi straight trigger. screw blasphemy it looks the tits and is so much more user friendly. if you get a chance id be much obliged for info cheers mate. can you mail me some cadbury flakes if i send you my replica for work? customer service seems your forte.
@@Solidsnake0208 I will take a look. I was told that the only stock that will fit this is the one from the a5 or o.e. so I will definitely check. I'm going to dual wire it so I can put on either stock and a battery in the front or rear. Because it would suck to have to compromise with it just rewired to the front.
