I didn’t realize how much of a pain in the ass optimizing my MCX was until I built my DDMK18. Took a fraction of the effort to build on a different platform with the same performance and same parts. The MK18 is lighter and shorter as well, funny enough. Replacing all of the internals and externals when working on the MCX is pretty much required, unless you want to frustratingly troubleshoot every issue that inevitably arises, especially the nozzle feeding and motor grip alignment. The magazine that comes with the rifle doesn’t even feed or engage the magazine catch, it’s hilarious.

When you put your head in your hands and screamed at an AEG that just refuses to work I felt such a deep spiritual connection with you it was unreal. I've been there. We've all been there. I always wondered if your years of learning and practice would stop moments like that from happening. I suppose that's my answer: "Not when it's VFC".

I had to do the same trick to tighten down a wobbly barrel on my steyr Aug. The bbs wouldn’t feed properly until I did this fix and now it’s flawless😎

I usually first shim the bevel gear to adequately contact the motor's bevel gear after the motor bevel height is adjusted to about the "middle" of the bevel gear's tooth radius. I then adjust the spur gear to be as low as possible while also fully contacting the bevel. This usually gives me enough room to fine tune the position of the sector gear to properly and fully contact the teeth on the piston when I adjust it last. After all is set and put together the motor height can be tightened slightly to guarantee full contact with the bevel.

I had to do nearly same amount of work on my mcx when i build it. Luckily I got mine in a trade that only cost me pennies. They are pain in the ass to make perfect and I don't think I'll ever build one again.

God, I almost got this as my second gun (HPA though). Glad I went with a Begadi pre-tuned E&C. Nothing wobbles (except from the stock) and it simply performs. Good job on this horrific piece though!

I hate the wiring set up in the MCX. Trying to feed the wires around the hop unit and into the front section, it's an absolute pain.

Hey Luke if you shim correctly your gearbox is an normal behavior for the wires, motor, battery to come a bit warm to touch after 10-20 shots? Not sure if I'm crazy or indeed something else going on there... 11.1 lipo battery

Sorry, but I'm going to have to STRONGLY disagree with your take on VFC. I have had a VFC gas blowback rifle ALL DAY now and it is great. It's the nicest airsoft gun I've ever owned, well, this one is my first, but you can tell it's quality. I have to have fired at LEAST 50-60 rounds through it, that's a conservative estimate, and I have field stripped it to check, you know, the parts. Well, I couldn't get the bolt all the way out, but it was pretty much field stripped. Everything looked exactly like it should, at least from pictures I've seen of other people's guns. And the magazines are perfect, you can BARELY hear the hiss of gas that kinda comes out of the bottom, but if you shoot it fast enough it'll damn near clear the whole magazine of BBs. I love this VFC so much I will never buy another brand. I don't know where you get your "data" for your disparaging comments about a quality airsoft manufacturer, but I know these guns inside and out now and I really don't find you very credible with your "opinions." 🙄 This is what I hear in my head every time I see people in the comments trying to "correct" you on your thoughts and opinions. Ha ha, I actually do like the few VFCs I own, but I know enough to know that I only know MY examples and I don't try to convince anyone one way or another. 😉 Keep the scathing, blue tinged (soaked) diatribes coming, we love them!! 👍

Oh, seven dust 🤌 Im sorry but the " keep me " video makes me think of the " its fuggin wimdy " meme😂🤣😂 As for hpa....i play outdoors in Minnesota in the US and sometimes our climate will effect the way even aep work. I hpa'd my lmg mainly to shed weight and allow for very precise adjustments. Other than that id stay aep.
