Please never stop making content, you're literally the gold standard I wish companies would send all their products to you first. Not only that but you're incredible techs from the videos I've watched. Is there a possibility of creating a noob teching series? Going over things like nubs, buckings, barrels and the really simple things that improve airsoft but new players don't know about? Thank you!
Sounds good man! For sure! This year I really want to do more beginner series, bring more people into this sport! And thanks for the support as always :D
You guys really have elevated the art of reviewing airsoft guns to the next level! Also, I really appreciate the part where you display the energy readouts for this sniper. The joule creep is insane on this gun. Additionally, when you do the temperature test (great idea btw), i think there're more factors at play here: The fact that you're playing essentially with a fixed volume, but changing the air density, increasing it as temperature decreases, means you have more energy available to transfer to the BB. In theory, this should be enough to justify the additional kinetic energy (more important than simply velocity, in this comparison) at lower temperatures. However, when you run the math, and check the ratios, you see that you fall short a few percentage points. This is where I think you've made a good observation, in referencing the temperature's effect on the hop up rubber affecting the maximum pressure buildup behind the BB, i.e. how much of the compressed air energy you can make use of to propel the BB down the barrel. Despite that, the math seems to point in the other direction, i.e. that the cooler the rubber is, the less efficient the system is. The increased consistency at 25ºC might also indicate that the optimal performance of the rubber properties is at around that temperature. All the variables involved in the air calculations relate linearly to each other, so the math is trivial. Those relating to the thermal expansion are not so trivial, given the geometry of the bucking and its boundary conditions, but my intuition tells me the opposite of what you've described in the video should happen, and that would fit with the calculations, but I can't confirm that without a proper FEM simulation using Abacus or Ansys. Keep up the good work, looking forward to your next reviews!
Wow that is one full on research man! Thank you so much for spending the time writing this we will get into the details for sure! Really appreciate such information is shared to the community, this could really help people to learn more knowledge! And thanks for the support as always! We will pump more stuff out!
You guys are giving an amazing gift to the airsoft community, not only by showing us what products truly deserve our hard earned cash, so that the prized manufacturers can further invest in developing products that take airsoft in the right direction, but you're also teaching players a lot on what to look for in and how to evaluate an airsoft gun. That is a lot of added value that you bring, and this should be dutifully commended. I'll be tuning in to your next releases! Keep setting and elevating the standard of how this content should done!
Humorous, detailed, and cleverly delivered as usual. From the Heat bank robbery to this, the evolution of the channel has been a joy to see. Can’t wait to see you branch out the biz in product and reach around the world. Saw the oil pens on Evike in the U.S., bought 6, and buddies “borrowed” them all. Can only imagine what would happen if you developed or collaborated on a weapon design.
Dude thanks for the support man! That means a whole lot! We got some hop up bucking on the way! Will keep you guys updated! Again, thank you for the love and support!
Yeah, you've gotta do those tests even if you feel they are unnecessary. It's the same in my line of work too, in the IT. Besides the good info I very much enjoyed the "Cinematic opener" too.
Hey I miss these grading challenges, maybe you should do one of these full videos not on a stock gun but on a fully upgraded sniper rifle of your choice using nothing but the best third party parts just to set the standard of what a fully 10 out of 10 gun should perform and push airsoft to the absolute maximum limit. Make that video and you'll set a solid performance benchmark that EVERY airsoft gun can be compared with. It'll cut through all the marketing BS that companies use to hide behind poor products and will benefit the entire sport as a whole by showing what can be done with the right parts and tuning.
I knew it. You work at ICS at some point. I love ICS products (though I don't own one lol). Now, that's why you look so familiar. Anyway this is one sweet basr 👌
Hello, I have my Tomahawk since last week, and i love it. Now im waiting for some upgrade Parts, to make it better. Most of them i need to bye from shops in USA, or Taiwan, but i think the waitingtime will worth it.
You guys found a solution for the mag feeding issue. I wrote to ICS because me and my friend bought this gun brand new.We have to tapp the mag every shot or so to make it feed.
@@4UADSmartAirsoft Please do, you could even go deeper and try it for each power type (Aeg, spring, gas, hpa) and bb weight. I'd be interested to know if there's a sweet spot based off the volume of air each system and the barrel length (while keeping at the same energy like 1.5J for all the tests) I think a short barrel with a heavy bb will do better than a long barrel with the same bb.
More sniper videos! Get a Scout with H-nub in and test it vs a top tier upgraded VSR. You’ll get an endorsement deal from ASG/Modify once you publish the results 😂
For unlimited budget, easiest to use / upgrade, and balanced between power & accuracy for an airsoft sniper rifle, which sniper rifle one do you suggest the most?
Man~~~that is a hard question hahahaha all airsoft guns have good potential to be great, it comes down to who is using it and what’s their preference. But I would say the first thing is to make sure the gun has a good potential to get upgrades. This includes the good material backup parts and the range of upgrade parts. If. Gun meets those two points they can be the best.
Looks like a solid rifle. EXCELLENT video as always bros! Hit me up if you ever get to the USA and I'll let you shoot tons of real guns. Thanks for all the hard work! Best airsoft channel for sure
I know it’s not really what you do but can you do a guide video on airsoft in Taiwan? Whenever I go to Taiwan and visit my family I think “Yo this is the country G&G and VFC are from, I gotta play airsoft at least once while I’m there” but I never do cause I have no idea where to find a field or shop lol.
@15:10 , hi 4UAD team, during the range test at 70m was it tested by setting the hop adjustment to min? max? or in middle? does it have an effect for a longer range if hop is set higher than 40%? will there be a difference in Joules?
To answer your question, Yes if the hop up is set tighter the joules will increase, however we adjust the hop up to make sure it hits the target, other wise setting it to min or max this gun simply will not shoot over 10 meters. We adjust the hop according to the range, and we figured this might be the best way to demo the gun to you guys.
@@4UADSmartAirsoft this test is great and also convenient for this unit since the hop can be easily adjusted on the outside, I have not seen any other DMR so I am just basing it (hop dial) on this gun. thanks for sharing and for this awesome test.
The thing about AEGs their performance is projectable based on gearbox, barrel diameter/length and bucking. GBBs on the otherhand are wild cards from maker to maker from platform to platform. AEGs really dont need this level of performance testing
So eventually we loosen the magazine screws and tighten those again, and we got the feeding issued solved. I heard ICS is working on this problem. should have it solved soon
@@4UADSmartAirsoft No it doesn't because the bold have to be pulled with the left hand. That's why they didn't design it only in lefty version to sell to right handers, it wouldn't be good for them then. Unfortunately if the don't have a lefty conversion or another version they exclude about 10% of the users!
