SO GLAD you mentioned not to use dry ice! (I was thinking of using a combo.)

We had a lot of people ask about it, so we definitely needed to include that. Definitely don't use it. Glad we were able to help! :)

I still think it's possible if done properly. I think IcyBreeze puts out that general rule because a lot of people will do it wrong, and create issues and problems. But after watching some videos of people using dry ice in coolers, I do believe it's possible, if done correctly.
@carolynjbraden
@carolynjbraden Месяц назад
Unfortunately, most people won't do it correctly...so we'd advise against it....we'd feel terrible if anyone used it and had a health issue because of this. We like to DIY and experiment, but a lot of people just don't have that skillset and we will always err on the side of safety if a brand advises certain things too. It could turn into a legal issue for sure. Thanks for your comment and for watching! :)

Question: have you powered it with a solar battery? That's what I'm planning on. I need it to run all night long in my Ram ProMaster 19 foot.

We used a Bluetti portable power station that we got on Amazon....this is a link to the exact one: amzn.to/3V9V1zM It definitely lasted longer than the battery.

We have no idea about rigging it, as we haven’t done any experiments with that. We suppose you could try it. If so, come back here and let everyone know 👍 Thanks for watching 🥰

How many square feet do you think this is good for? I have a 3rd car garage I use as a garage gym and it gets toasty especially during the summer. I'd like to cool down that space without having to do an install for a split system AC.
@carolynjbraden
@carolynjbraden 2 месяца назад
Mmmm…I really don’t think it’ll help a garage space…the ceilings are too tall for this. You’d be better off with a portable A/C unit (one that vents out a window) or a mini split. Hope this helps…thanks for watching! 🥰💖

@@carolynjbraden I agree. Anything more than a closet, or very small office space, I believe is asking too much ..... especially if there is some real heat that you are working against.
@carolynjbraden
@carolynjbraden Месяц назад
Definitely! Oh, the summer heat, especially in SW Florida where we are....multiple air conditioners are needed at our house to keep up with this heat! Thanks for your comment and thank you for watching! :)

Hey there, So I was potentially going to buy an electric cooler, however just ran into this. Me and my fiance do events in our 10 x 10 canopy and Ive been trying to figure out ideas to keep things cooler (also fellow Floridian so you know the pain lol). What Ive done is get a power station and a fan that pulls 60W and strapped it to the middle of the canopy. We use it as a customer fan. That idea expanded to multiple fans with individual power and am on the verge of testing a pair to create a cross breeze section of cooling. That's all well and fine, but it would be great to circulate some cool air. AC is out because its an open canopy/tent, and swamp coolers dont work in humid environments (its also dangerous apparently). So Ice Blower style coolers was the next bet. All this for my question. Do you think using the extender ducts routed towards the top of the canopy, then towards one of the fans would circulate that cold air? Rather, would that cold air even be dense enough to get around the area? Or is this something that would just be limited to "as close as possible" cooling? Last question, would I be able to fit 8 bottles of water in the cooler and still be affective for 6 hours?
@carolynjbraden
@carolynjbraden 11 дней назад
Hi KeyJay! Tommy here....so the bottles of water may not allow it to be effective for 6 hours unless they are frozen. You definitely need ice, so that many bottles may take up too much room, but it does depend on the size of them. Keeping the cooler on a low setting does help them pump out cool air for a longer time period for sure. As far as the cool air circulation with the fans, it's one of those things that you'd truly have to experiment with, but in my opinion, I'm not certain the fans would circulate the flow of the air that these coolers produce enough. In theory, it could work, but with Florida humidity and heat (oh, this sauna-like heat is powerful!), it may overwhelm the cool air output, especially on an open canopy/tent. They could keep you cool directly though. The IcyBreeze is pretty pricey to experiment with buying them brand new, but we see them on FB marketplace sometimes, so if you could find them that way, it may be worth it. Just my thoughts....hope this helps! Thanks for your great questions and thank you for watching! :)

What about the ultimate?
@carolynjbraden
@carolynjbraden Месяц назад
We saw they came out with that…it’s rotomolded, so we are sure the cool air will last longer with that one. We already have an Orca rotomolded cooler and it does keep food cool for days. It is heavy though, and the specs on the Ultimate is 19 lbs without ice, so the same as our Orca, it will be heavy, but may be worth the extra cost if you need the cool air to last longer. Just our thoughts…hope this helps! Thanks for watching! 🥰💖
