Yes, it is. I got it last month and without exagerating, I can tell you its battery works for more than a week upon 1-hour charging. It shows heart rate correcting and counts steps accordingly as well.

You must take 30 steps in a row before pausing in order for the steps to be recorded in your daily step count.

Check to see it is facing the right way in the USB port -- not only is there only one end of it that has the charging connector, you also have to have it face the right direction.
