I live in Boise but all the camping I've done for the past 5-6 years was motorcycle camping. I recently bought an rv so the campground info your providing will come in handy. Thanksw!!!
Great video I marked of a lot of camping spots to visit as soon as the border opens. I am from Revelstoke Bc and can’t wait to get down there. Keep up the great work.
Ohhh man!! If only you could have driven another 100 feet at dog creek i could've seen my set up! My grandma is the camp host there. Awesome little spot that has a small but cool creek to the east of it. Awesome video!
We have never been to Idaho and just started doing research for a fun road trip...and we found you! Thanks for the nice views and info. You gave us a great inspiration to hit the road! Guess what? We’re 62!!
Awesome! Thank you! Here's another great Idaho location we loved. This one is in Southern Idaho. ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-FlpJmaQxslY.html
Never have spent a lot of time over in that area. But used to spend time around Fall Creek. My brother used to work for the old owner of the Fall Creek Lodge. It's very beautiful up there 😍
We love Fall Creek. It's sad to see that area now after the fire a few years back that destroyed many of the cabins in Fall Creek. Fortunately the lodge is still there.
New subscribers catching up on past videos. Love your hat and your support of our Vets and police. And of course the 2A. Not over 62 yet, and trying to get back to Idaho soon. Love the area and your insights.
Hey welcome to the crew. Thanks so much for subscribing. The hat comes from Black Ruffle Coffee Company. It was formed by vets and with every purchase they give back to vets, police and first responders.
We're heading back to Idaho (from Oregon) this summer and THIS is definitely on our list of stops. Baumgartner looks great; I'm hoping our Starlink will work there.
Thanks to you two, based on this video, we are going to Baugartner tomorrow. We never would have known about this place had I not come across your video. It looks like a great place and we are always looking for new places to explore. Thank you for posting this.
Great info here, guys! I’d love to bring the crew up to Idaho someday! Don’t know if and when we’d be able to do that but it’s good to have a resource like this to inform us of where to go. Thanks for sharing, guys!
Great advice and information for campers. Thank you for sharing. OMG that Triple berry cobbler sounds delicious. Those swimming areas are awesome. 😋 👍🏼🙏🤗
I just found your videos. Thank you! We live near here and didn't know of these campgrounds. I appreciate your comments about what size of rigs can fit in.
Don't wait. Travel as you can now. Weekends, holidays and vacations. We're not retired yet but our motto is "Tomorrow is never promised, so we're living for today."
@@MountainBeaches I travel as much as I can now. Headed to Padre this weekend in fact! Idaho and Montana in August and Kayaking the Frio in the fall. I'm from Florida and lived part of my life in the Pacific Northwest so your "Mountain Beaches" caught my attention!
I just subscribed to your channel what a great video. You guys did great in showing off all the fun stuff and very cool camp sites. Thank you and keep making videos please!
Wow! Thank you for all the tips. I've watched other RU-vidrs and they say there is no more boondocking or cheap camping in Idaho. I think they may want to keep all the boondocking to themselves :) We spend quite a bit of time in Idaho, since we have many friends that have moved there. Really enjoyed this video. Well done. I feel like I'm visiting with friends when I'm watching your video. Be safe out there. Maybe we'll run into you one of these days :) Oh, by the way, new sub here!
Thanks SO MUCH for watching and subscribing. We can't believe the amazing support we have been receiving so quickly. We just peeked at your channel and it looks awesome too so we sub'd. That is one tiny RV so we're excited to see how that works. I think we're sticking with a 5th Wheel ;) Maybe we'll meet down the road sometime 💚
Hi David. Thanks so much for joining our community of awesome, positive people. Costa Rica? A visit to Costa Rica is on our list of things to do! Thanks for joining our community 💙
Oh, that's excactely the channels I like :-). A lot of good camping and outdoor videos. A big like for this one and I joined your RU-vid channel family. Thanks for leaving such a nice comment on my channel. I wish you a wonderful beach time.
Mountain Beaches Definitely will. It’s actually been on our bucket list. This weekend I am catching up on your videos. Kim and Norm you’re doing such a great job! I hope your channel continues to grow. 👍
RV Living Yet we’re heading out tomorrow to a local state park for 5 nights. Just need to get out of the house and since our state is opening up we’re taking advantage of it. Of course we’ll still be smart but sitting by a lake sounds nice right now.
Thank you so much Michelle. Idaho has so many great locations. We can't wait to get back out and explore it even more. Here's a link to a more recent video we did where we camped at one of the locations we shared in this video, ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-DFTh3AOoUNE.html
Damn...how did u even get dislikes... It's probably people who can't afford to actually live their life because they didn't pay attention in school and so now they have to work at McDonald's instead of having fun like camping... Personally I thought this was a great video and very informative I just can't believe that there are people who would just like it
Thank you! We're actually back up in that area right now. So beautiful and today it looks like we might actually be clear of the smoke from the CA fires.
Hmm, it's been a while since we created this video and I'm not remembering what map you might be referring to. There is a map of the general area at about the 45 second mark of the video. Let me know if I can help you any further. The place is beautiful.
It's a Black Riffle Coffee Company logo hat. Black Riffle Coffee Company is a Utah (our home state) based coffee company that was started by veterans. They are committed to supporting veterans, law enforcement, and first responders and with every purchase we make, they give back. We like what they stand for and their coffee. The hat was a gift from my son-in-law.
@@dannys721 I had one viewer a while back unsubscribe telling me, because I wore such a hat, I supported mass killings! Wow, not sure how she got that from me simply supporting veterans, but oh well, can't please everyone.
@@MountainBeaches to be honest I was subtly trying to find out what the hat represented. I was worried I might have to stop following too. Gun violence in the states is an epidemic of its own. I really appreciate that you took the time to explain. Perhaps not the best name or logo, but most certainly a worthy cause.
@@dannys721 violence of any kind is abhorrent. I would never support violence but I do support the 2nd Amendment. It’s interesting that some of the areas in our country with the strictest gun laws are also the ones that see the most gun violence. Not sure what the answer is, it’s not as simple as some make it out to be. Thanks so much for your support.
Hi there, Ed here from YT Tracker. I received your messages via the app and replied to them. Did you get my replies? The app is currently down and malfunctioning as RU-vid removed my developer access. I'm negotiating with them to recover the access. If I succeed the app will start working fine again. This is my top priority. I hope that helps clarifying the situation. Cheers, Ed
Super helpful video. We are always looking for new places to visit with the travel trailer that are a short distance from Boise. We will have to check a couple of these out!
Many so called free camping areas are now being restricted. Many long timers with channels are now moving into the homesteading community. Even today, the mindset is that these communities don't want drifters living in or even around "their" community. Idaho authorities will definitely confront anyone with out of state plates, unless you are in a designated fee camping area. Places like Lake Tahoe, where I spent months during the 2019 summer season has now posted No Camping signs everywhere you go. It's really a shame.
It is sad, bud remember every state is different. Right now California probably has some of the tightest restrictions in the country. Our state is pretty much open with camping everywhere. It's best to check the status of the state prior to traveling right now.
BEST things to see? Wow, how much time do you have? In SLC a lot of tourists like to stop downtown to get a tour of the Mormon temple grounds and pioneer museum. There is always the Salt Flats or just downtown SLC. In Park City there is the Nation Ski Team training center that I believe also has a museum full of info from the 2002 SLC Winter Olympics. There is old town, downtown Park City. You might want to check with TripAdvisor. We were able to get ours online but I’m wondering if that’s not an option now. Here’s what I just found. shop.usparkpass.com/pages/senior-military-access-or-other-passes
