How he says he is backing farming but has not mentioned any about water being shut off. Time to step up Idahoans!

I went to school in Horseshoe Bend, Cascade, Star, Boise and Lewiston. Dad logged throughout the PNW. I am grieved & outraged at what the weather modification does and wonder if that's why there was a drought there in 2021 !

Call their bluff. Use the water anyway. What are they going to do about it? Stand your ground literally. Group the land oeners together and file a lawsuit against the water authority. Tie them up in court with temporary injunctions and emergency action from the courts.

@@karenhaley58 yeah i doubt most farmers can fight the 5-10k a day in fines before a lawsuit goes to trial. Second theres reasons they are trying to cut off water. West is running out and second most of the crops there shouldnt of been there in the first place. Almonds take insane amount of water to grow, so does alfalfa but we grow it in the middle of the damn desert. Just so we can just ship it off to china and japan and middle east. So its not even really benefiting us.

I'm curious whether the new Co mine might be connected to this. I'm referring to the water that's being diverted to the Australian cobalt mining company Jervois. I believe it's all part of the effort to reduce our reliance on fossil fuels. So, we shouldn't complain when there's a shortage of food as a result... right?

I'm not comparing the two, different enviroments but my grandparents had 2500 acres 45 minutes outside of Phoenix. They and another 40 farmers were pulling out of the aquifers unchecked for forty years. They finally ran out of water. Those who saw it coming made a lot of money selling everything off. Those who didn't sold their land at bottom prices. It's very sad to see but our old farm is now mcmansions with no yards. The only things remaining are street names we left behind, two pumphouses and a canal.

Glad someone made a detailed video about it. The government definitely overreached and such terrible timing. The solution is definitely not shutting the wells off. They just want the water for things much less important than farming and so they can control us. We need more farms/farmers not less
