The fact that he doesn’t hate Darwin for eating potatoes in front of him and even gave him a potato himself but he hates the nickname Gumball gave him 💀
It makes sense. Eating potatoes wasn’t about HIM and I assume in a world where random bits of food are sentient for… reasons, they learn not to care. On the other hand the nickname was about Idaho and he was directly upset and offended by it. And this is pretty accurate. The more singled out you feel by something the more offended you’ll be by it. Like saying “All humans are dumb” is going to get a lot less death threats than “all [insert literally any grouper here] are dumb.” Racist comments aren’t exactly getting people canceled because they’re about the “human” race.
4:49 I love that scene it feels like actual family argument where you do something wrong, you're trying to defend yourself, your mom is yelling at you and there's always someone laughing in the background at what hapoened 💀
3:02 at first thought it was weird how Nicole is siting like that, but I think it’s a testament to her flexibility and core strength she can hold herself up with no arms in that position
@@Funtime_KaceyI thought I just had bad flexibility/core strength so I tried pulling that position but I couldn’t 😂 she’s legit straight backed and crossing her arms! Like bruuuh
Fun fact, the reason why Idaho in canon doesn't mind this is because talking potatoes and food potatoes are two completely different things. Same reason why you'll see Anton eating bread products. I hope.
Nah anton IS the bread. The toaster just has to be put on the right setting to make another Anton, and personnality changes depending on how long the toast is in. Also any toaster seems like it can create an anton if done right. Oh and there can be more than one anton around at the same time
Silver was ineffective against vampires the church just got so rich they started using silver for their crucifix's which was obviously quenched in holy water....
The thing is, there are other food-based characters in Gumball, and they all show clear disgust in eating whatever food theyre based on. So it’s not even a universal thing, Idaho is just a literal cannibal
Anton, the Toast, is literally always shown eating a sandwich. Donut Cop is almost always shown eating donuts. Banana Joe was going to split a Banana Sundae with Darwin. The only character who gets disgusted is Hotdog Guy.
I feel like what makes Idaho so jarring to people is because i believe his character is meant to represent someone who is Amish. They stray away from modern technology and innovations (look it up on Google idk how to explain it). His lifestyle and customs are so different from everyone else's modern lifestyle, which is why other people in elmore think he is weird. I forgot the name of the episode, but the the one where Idaho tries to teach the Watterson's how he lives his life is why i have concluded that Idaho and his family represents Amish people. In the episode, idaho tries to show the wattersons his lifestyle and how you can be happy without modern technology. Gumball sneaks in the house enjoying many pleasures that are considered modern, like the tv, junk food, video games etc. because he is overwhelmed by the drastic differences between amish customs and standard living. When Idaho sees gumball and joins him, he quite literally almost dies because of how drastically different gumballs lifestyle is compared to him. When they took Idaho to his family to get him help, burrying him in the ground symbolizes Idaho rekindling with his Amish customs, and he is now ok. THIS WAS VERY LONG, I CAN SAY MORE BUT IDK IF ANYONE IS EVEN READING THIS. LMK YOUR GUYS' THOUGHTS
I read this and yeah it does make sense. Only thing that does confuse me is, if he is amish, why is he going to a normal school? There is a reason why you dont see Amish children at normal schools. Edit: Saw the part where it shows all the characters as humans, Idaho isnt dressed Amish.
@@whyspr yes. Because then it wouldnt be an alive "human" anymore. That's the point, the food people in this world eat food that arent people, because they technically arent people anymore.
Honestly the difference between Idaho being ok with Darwin eating potatoes, but Leslie getting a horror movie victim episode where gumball and Darwin are actively trying to decapitate him (despite his head being able to regrow because he's a flower; and Leslie himself actively ripping his own head off at different times throughout the series)
I always found it funny that like Antwon (toast dude) no matter how many times this dude has been canonically killed either on or off screen, he appears back in the next episode lmaooo
*can you try ocho now I am concerned...when gumball said "his own parents lock their doors every night or idk to feel safe from him is he really that much of a psycho?*
_what are le fries of the french?_ _are you a potato???_ _As sure as the world is flat!_ *politely looks at the fries* *proceeds to throw the fries out the window* 1:26
idaho is okay with the potato stuff because there is a difference between living potatoes and ground potatoes. its not concerning, he is not a cannibal, he is a different species than ground potatoes,
according to idaho, potatoes have different consciousnesses in this world. so apparently it’s “okay”? for them to eat potatoes and not be hurt over it, still weird tho
