Ciao Silvia! Grazie mille per il video! I would like to ask you this, when the follower does a back ocho, the leg that goes back, goes slightly diagonal behind the leg that is projected or it is parallel to it?
Ciao Amelia, many thanks for your comment and question! 🥰 When you stand with feet together, imagine that there are 2 lines, one along the right foot and one along the left foot. When you move your feet, and thus your legs, you always move along those parallel lines, without crossing them. Of course there are some exceptions like lady’s cross, ocho milonguero, etc. but let’s put them aside for now. When you do an ocho like the one explained in this video, thus with a pivot + step, you move your foot along the line. This is because first you place the hips in the direction of the step then you step. Thus the leg doesn’t go diagonal but along the straight line. I hope it is clear enough! 🙏🏻 If not, i’ll be more than happy to have a brief chat with you 😊
