@@bgos4727 well if you're looking up to them and continue to follow their path, remember they are human and will make mistakes so judge them kindly. Try not to project any issues you have onto them and therefore placing them on a pedestal higher than you would do for yourself. All the best.
We need more that speak English better because I can BARELY understand the doctors at the medical clinic during my appointments. These girls are very well spoken.
I’m not a jealous person generally, but for some reason I’ve always been sooooo jealous of twins! The thought of having a partner through life who understands you through and through. Such a beautiful bond.
Holy crud. This is actually beautiful. You see these people? This is what should be on the news. Celebrating geniuses like these girls. Gives me some hope for humanity, for once :)
What makes you think these girls are geniuses other than the fact they didn’t know what school they wanted to both go to so they applied everywhere? Why is that brilliant? it’s not like they’re going to go to 200 schools each. Am I not understanding? 24 million between two people is only 12 million each. Now divide those scholarships by the 200 schools. $60k. The more schools you apply to the more scholarships you’ll earn. And if you think they’re geniuses for getting so many scholarships ask yourself why. Diversity diversity diversity.
I'm glad these girls ignore comments such as "They're acting white", "They're talking white", "nerds", "geeks", etc., and any other negative comments that some members of the black community would use to keep them in a low place. These young ladies see themselves as VICTORS, and not VICTIMS! Praise be to God that they were also raised with a solid spiritual foundation!!!
@@robertotodaro6673 they’re teenagers expressing themselves atm when they’re doing their careers if it’s to become doctors they’ll obviously cut them appropriately
I’m much older than them . In my graduate program but seeing this video motivated me . My GPA is currently a 3.2 I want to graduate cum laude. I will make it . Thank you ladies 💗

@@hannaharmah4257 I’m talking about using the word magic period it’s a trick from the devil magic is of the devil it’s not holy I know what I’m saying thanks no thanks
I'm proud of them not only be being able to be so blessed by working together to achieve their goals. The College responses are to be commended. Goes to show it's in the effort you do, Congratulations
Now this is what i love to see. These are the kinds of videos should be plastered around the internet. Love seeing my people improving and being inspiration for others. Beautiful ladies and Congrats to them. God bless them both. Beautiful role models.
These ladies have such bright future's ahead of them but I hope the media coverage of their scholarship money doesn't make them a target for bad people trying to squeeze money or gifts from them
Don’t know how ppl will be trying to squeeze money or gifts from them. This is not actual money that goes into their hands...It’s money that goes to the school to pay their tuition, room and board, books etc.
@@jamesBFC1887 most black kids are raised being told that they'll never make it in life no matter how hard they try or smart they are and are constantly brought down by teachers, relatives, friends, and politicians. These girls are not victims of that toxic mentality/environment
FINALLY!! Young black girls are in the news for something POSITIVE. & they're sisters that found a way to get along. & NO!! I'm not crying😢 I just got something in my eyes 😭
The epitome of "no excuses, where there's a will, there's a way"... I couldn't help but smile watching them...I wish them all the luck and success in the future ❤️
America is truly a country of contradictions. You have the ugliness of racism & then you have something like the opportunity these twins have which, I don't believe, exists anywhere else. How I wish we could all work together to make this country good for everyone! Good luck to these amazing girls. I see a very bright future for them!
Yeah... I’m an MD, so are both my parents. We all went to Med school in France and paid... nothing ! We’re all blackedy black and got in based on competitive exams period So they are a bunch of other countries out there that do way better than this but as usual, Americans are made to believe they’re the best in everything 😊
i just feel so happy for these two young ladies! THEY make me feel happy for them. Congratulations Denish and Destiny! I pray that your futures challenge you and that you continue to meet those challenges with your entire beings!!
That's a breath of fresh air to hear such positive news !! You go girls !!! So proud of y'all and y'all aren't even my kids :) but proud and happy to see y'all move towards your goals together !! Love is strong and such a great bond ❤️
Congratulations young ladies. I am happy so see something special and good on the news for a change. Such wonderful achievements. Congrats again. May God continue to bless the both of you.
@@DIYTFY I’m not so sure. I didn’t get 24 million but no one broadcasted my scholarship so just because you didn’t hear about it, doesn’t mean people like me are not 50 times the number. Are you upset that you didn’t choose to, or weren’t qualified to get a scholarship and therefore now, you’re conflating on this issue just by the convenience of it for a different “single issue” aha moment?
Wow, applause please for black girl power times 2! I see a side hustle in helping others do similar. I’m glad the chose to work together and not apart and compleat against the other. Just wonderful to see, very happy for them and I KNOW their positive story will only inspire others. The sky is a practical limit after all, so start out with how can I make this happen instead of all the things that may prevent or make it harder, just stick with the “how can we get this poppin” and THEN when or if something comes up, just be prepared to handle it and keep it moving till you hit that goal. You might be surprised that all the things you thought might have prevent you or keep you from a goal turning out not to be the case at all! Again, good for these girls!
"You might be surprised that all the things you thought might have prevent you or keep you from a goal turning out not to be the case at all!"-- Thanks, I needed to hear that. Keep writing your words of encouragement, like how you did right here in this RU-vid comment section; people need this encouragement!
This is awesome! So encouraging and maybe they can show others how to do this same thing. There are many who would love to know how to do this and are willing to put in the work.
What they accomplished is amazing, but it also shows the problem of the scholarship program. Often, a few outstanding students soak up all the available scholarships. At my highschool, two amazing students won basically every community scholarship. They actually got paid to go to college, while dozens of other deserving students were left without anything and therefore couldn't attend university. No shade on these girls, they crushed it. But the system needs to be fixed so we don't have two girls getting 24mil and other students getting nothing.
You are right but congratulations to them. We're definitelty happy for them, but for certain education has become too competitive and disporportinate. They will not put a dent in those 24 million dollars in scholarships. Even at more "elite" schools, both their educations will barely touch anywhere near 1 million dollars. Wish there were other deserving students that could be helped. College needs to be more affordable for those not fortunate to get scholarships but have great potential.
Such delightful young ladies. I thank God for you, parents and your successes definitely sharing your amazing story with my young growing munchkin she has alot to learn from you. YES it can be done by working hard and smart.
Wow Congratulations 🤩😍 UCLA has always been one of my favorite School ever due to every reasons they gave. E.g. the environment, the campus, the school in general.
All Praises To The Most High! So delightful! You go Lil'sisters! So proud of you both. And, to the interviewer, so happy to see you again (don't watch tv anymore) . . . Great interview.
Just by your positive attitude you can tell y'all good people!! UCLA is incredibly lucky to have you two beautiful young ladies!! Y'all are such good examples of hard work pays off!! CONGRATS!! May God bless the rest of y'alls journeys!!
