This video looks at identifying quadratic data by looking at second differences of the y values and writing a quadratic function that contains three given points by writing and solving a system of three equations. It includes a number of examples.

Thank you! My teacher has done a pretty bad job of explaining these concepts, and I had an understanding of it by the end of this video in a way that a week and a half of 70-minute classes weren't able to provide. I feel much more confident about these now!

Then you'll have to work a little harder, but it's just a matter of solving a system in three variables. I've got a couple videos on that. Just search for "Solving Linear Systems in Three Variables". I hope that helps! You can do it! :-)

Is it still not a quadratic fynction if the second differences are 4,4,4,2,4?? and what will happen if it is not quadratic? can you still continue the equation?

No, if the second differences are not all the same it's not quadratic. If it's like your example, I would double check my calculations, just to be sure I didn't make a mistake since only the one numbers is different. I hope that helps! Keep working hard and asking great questions! 👍
