Your explanation and demonstration are perfect. I didn’t understand even as the professor explained this.

I came here to understand the difference between opposite and adjacent, and it felt condescending, but it's exactly what I needed to hear so 5 stars nonetheless. Thank you creator.

How would you know which the opposite and the adjacent is if the angle is not yet given?

what if i have all angles i'm taking A level math and he gave me no angles butbgave me the lengh othe sides wanting the angle which i got wrong because i thought the adjecentnwas the opposite side
@sciencemadesimple8924
@sciencemadesimple8924 5 лет назад
If you have no angles, then you need to use the inverse trigonometric function to find the angle. You still need to identify the two sides that are part of the question and use those. Careful with A level maths though, because they're likely to not be right-angled triangles, so you might need to use the sine or cosine rule rather than the regular trig methods in my videos.

Assuming I've understood what you mean correctly, then you can choose which to use, as long as you're consistent throughout the question.

Presumably you'll have been asked to find one of the angles? If that's the case, then you use that unknown angle you've been asked to find :)
