Identity V: Pro Minds Eye Guide 

I wanted to emphasize the reasoning Mind's Eye wears glasses. She is LEGALLY blind which is quantified as having a visual acuity 20/200 or worse (the higher the number the worse). Visual acuity is the ability to see object clarity (sharpness). Thus, she wears glasses. TOTAL BLINDNESS means absent of vision entirely. Mind's Eye is legally blind and not totally blind. I would suspect she is on the cusp of total blindness (hence walking cane). OT Practitioner, out. :)

Mind's eye was the first character I ever purchased. At first, I was like kinda regretting buying her because of her vision but I ended loving her. She's the best decoder. A silent killer, I must say. You can decode with little to no calibrations. You can use your cane to locate the hunters and other survivors. You can see through the wall which makes her kinda easy to use in kiting (I'm not a really good kiter though HAHA). However, most of hunters I played with (asian server) usually would kill her first. Some say because it was she's weak but I say otherwise because if I'm the hunter, I would kill the one who could decode well first.

Me as 4th Minds Eye (if that means anything) I never go for the save unless everyone is down because you should always be decoding. Also it’s good to learn where the hunters spawn when you spawn in a specific area, to save your cane and also to have more chance of not being caught first. To all the people who don’t play minds: LET SWEET HELENA DECODE THE SAFE CIPHERS :^

This makes me scared of ranking up as hunter because I know top survivors like you are smart and can have many tricks up their sleeves. Back when I mained survivor, I was always Mind's Eye. I didn't understand why people liked Mechanic so much more. And now, I'm a hunter main fearing the rise of the character I already knew was so good. It makes me kind of sad to see that this is finally happening only after I've "retired." I somehow feel left out by all these new people using her, because I've left it behind. But I'm also happy for her because she was always my favorite. Hopefully I can survive as hunter as I continue ranking. If things change, I can always learn and evolve, I guess..

I main minds eye and she was my first purchase in season 1. She was always the best in my heart but everyone prefered mechanic instead of her. But now everyone plays minds eye and I'm happy lol. Also I learned some tactics from you (shows the cipher that has been touched) and thank you for it :) (Sorry for the bad english lol)

i main decoders bc my friends be like "we're all gonna be rescue", just watched your mechanic video before this and i really be learning stuff!!! makes me happy when i realize tactics i was starting to make up myself as i went on are actually good things to do!! One match i did a 5 cipher kite as minds eye and im not a good kiter at all, now i realize its because i kept breaking line of sight with joseph around the same 4 walls successfully gaining time for everyone else and keeping him from doing photo world it felt AMAZING. (although i was v lucky)

Ok, I never knew playing mind's eye would literally make your vision limited. Almost bought her, thankfully I watched your guide first. I'm still new to this game so expert kiting with mind's eye would be a very problematic for me since I haven't memorized the maps yet and especially since I haven't maxed the persona yet.

My biggest issue for the minds eye is that she's LEGALLY blind, it's like playing a game without any vision :( No other character has this issue but her :/. It's the mind's eye greatest weakness and it's so annoying. You need your sound really up to hear all of the charges and attacks, how are we supposed to know when Joker Dashes, Soul Weaver shoots her web, anyone attacks, seeing is the most important sense in this game and to have that taken away breaks my heart. I love her decoding speed but I hate her greatest flaw that no other character has.

How do you get such a good ping? My best one is around 150ms and in every other game is have a normal ping around 30ms

I've been trying to get better at minds eye recently but i've been finding it difficult because i can hardly see lol. I main priestess and enchantress so not being able to see the hunter from far away makes me pretty nervous. This video has helped a lot so thank you so much for this! It's pretty scary playing her but this has made me feel more confident

AHHHH MIND'S EYE!!!!! I've been using her a lot lately so...I'm a Mind's Eye main?

When I play as minds eye. I use the cane immediately at the beginning to see where the hunter is heading. When the hunter is walking to the right side of the map, I'll go left. It sometimes help me to not get caught first.

When I use Mind's eye, i actually use the top build, mainly because when a teammate gets hits, i can observe the hunter's location and actions while i decode. And heal teammates who are within the safe zone. So my main role is to decode, and take over clphs that was unfinished. While healing on the side.

when i play minds eye i usually go to the opposite side of the map where the hunter is positioned like when i slam my cane then i see the hunter i just avoid the hunter by going on the opposite direction of where the hunters going since i cant really kite that well with slow vaulting characters since i really need speed boosts to kite properly so basically i just cipher rush at safe ciphers but when no one tries to rescue i rescue even tho i know the hunter is gonna come after me after i rescue someone ;-; but yeah this guide is really good for starting minds eye players

Funny little story during one of my matches I was chaired when the ciphers were done luckily I got saved and eventual found two others one of them was a cowboy he ended up carrying me to the gate cause I had no Idea where to go (I didn’t get enough time to notice the glowing switches) but thank you to that cowboy you saved my life

For me I use cane as soon as I spawn and I judge if the hunter will come to me or not. If yes I run away from the cipher until I judge if I’m safe or not but if not I just decode.

I know this is completely unrelated to the video but first, I want to thank Perswayable for the guide. I am not a mind’s eye user or a good kiter but she does seem very interesting to me now that you have highlighted her advantage when she kites. Second, does anyone feel like there are certain times (usually late at night), there will be those quick matches that seems like you are playing custom matches with bots? All of them will be free characters and the hunter is either Leo or Joker. Is there sth I should know about? Because honestly, you know the thing with non-person player is that when you try to tight kite them and you move left to right repeatedly between the pallet, they will kept changing sides instead of making a decision to go one way after you. Sorry if that doesn’t make sense and sorry I asked a totally unrelated question in this video’s comments. I iust don’t know who or where I can ask for opinions and this seems like a good place to get genuine comments. I apologize again. Edit: I do not play rank matches at all and is in South East Asia Server (Thailand to be precise) in case that matters.

i really WANT to play survivor, but im still elk because of the season reset xD. ive really only been playing hunter, and getting back up to rank 4/5 is soooooooooo difficult with random teammates

Once I kited Geisha around the small bush using mind eyes in 8v2 and in the end the Geisha needed to get the Wu chang to kill me otherwise she can’t kill me. XD but they only placed me on the rocket chair twice cuz fowards are stunning then and others are shooting. Everyone escaped.

So I don’t main ranked I main casual mode, so soon I will be able to get dark cake or red riding hood, but I don’t know which survivor is better in casual?

Perwayable,Do you think turning music off is a good tip? In 8v2,I turned music off and heard the Docter's breathing in a locker with music off,So,I opened the locker and found her. I think is a good tip,Because,You can hear sounds you can't hear with music on or you can focus more on sounds to help you/guide you.
