Gaming-Grizzly i have few questions 1) how is a tie better than a loss? a tie is not counted as a win, so it will be decreasing your win rate just like a loss does.The only difference is that, a tie is a LOSE-LOSE situation for both survivors & hunters 2) so as the last survivor, the escape trapdoor will open right? but how do people know which trapdoor opens? i run into like 2 or 3 close trapdoors in a map, is there like a visual indication on the trapdoor that is going to open (before it opens)? and any visual/audio indication when u are near open trapdoor? 3) there are some sounds ingame which are quite ear-catching but i do not know the meaning of... like there is a SWOOSH sound that sounded like Smiley's rush, but when i check, no hunter is near. also sometimes there is a sound that sounded like 1 Heartbeat, but again no hunter near when i check 4) when do crows start to circle on your head? is that a hunters skill Raven Flock? i never know how Raven Flock works anyway 5) sometimes as survivor, u will suddenly get discovered for no reason even when hunter is not LISTENING, what causes that? or which hunter skill causes that? 6) sometimes ingame at the top right 4-circle team status indicator, there will be like red stuff smeared on a teammate icon, it looks like smeared blood or red smoke or rage status, but i dont know what it means 7) Sometimes i see people carry a flying pet ingame, my question is, can hunters see the flying pets, and if yes, wont it give your position away easily, espdcially when u play downsized Explorer? @@SkullzJoker12 try to not let her look at you, like hide behind walls and atleast just stay away. and also be careful, focus when she is gonna use dash, if she is then dont keep running and turn directions and basically just try to get away from her and not let her see you, bc if she does she can dash towards you. (But if she uses her flying ability, itll be easier to see you even tho you are hiding)
Another tip is that dont hide for too long. Hiding for too long attracts crows that will swirl on top of your character which is a sure fire way to attract the hunter
A random tip for everyone: When you are saving people, make sure To “Fake save” first and when the Hunter is doing whatever it is doing. Real save your teammate. I usually play the doctor : So after I save the teammate, I stand in front Of the hunter so he/she could hit me, so that gives My teammate time to run. Fake save is when you go to the chair a stand there for A moment right beside the chair, and go away really fast So the hunter hits the chair not you. But if you want to hunter to hit you first and save the person, you can. But the percentages is smaller than my way. Also, just beware of TERROR SHOCK And that is my random tip for people. Note: if anyone wants to add anything please do. I am bad at explaining
i saved my teammate and became last survivor,,, after saving her i was put on the rocker chair but she didnt help me but running away, that was really disappointing but somehow its the only way (?) i used to be the kind of player that will leave first and dont care about the others. until i joined the match with 2 Japanese, they are so gooooooooooooood. There were 3 survivors left (me and 2 of them), we helped each other and ran together. It was so fun and after that i always wait my teammates to make sure they all leave safely instead of leaving alone
This reminds me of when I first started using coordinator. I'd usually use docter for the sole reason that she could heal herself, but when I got coordinator, I was kinda forced into saving people, so now I am an embalmer main who probably isn't meant to rescue people, bit that's what I've gotten used to so like...
I remember doing that one time, I was coordinater and went to save this girl, but then the girl struggled and got away, then the hunter got me, and then the girl left because the exit gate was already open ; - ;

It pains me to leave alone any chair-bound teammates, but sometimes my character plus my persona points and personal skill coulndt do very muc abt it, yk. Im gonna give a tip that I always do when I save my teammate: Whenever your teammate is put on a rocket chair, remember to look at your current state first (or the health), if you're ever injured,you can try to save him/her but you dont want to risk your life either too,it's your choice. In the other hand,if you have full health. Go to your teammate and try to save him/her. When saving, do not let the hunter see you approaching your teammate, avoid open spaces and try to run in places with walls. I see some people doing this :(. When you're near your teammate, do not immediately rescue him/her, observe the hunter's movement first before doing the action. This could go in 3 ways: *Sacrifice -- You could go and let the hunter hit you 1 time (needs to be full health) and then rescue your teammate. *Distraction -- You could go out and distract the hunter, keeping him/her away from your teammate (but not too far away) and whenever the hunter hits but misses, directly rescue your teammate. It's your choice if you want to protect your teammate or not. If you want to help him after the rescue always try to body block the attacks of the hunter giving your teammate enough time to escape but this could lead to your death too so... *Wait -- You could also wait for the hunter to leave your teammate before rescuing but if he/she is camping, you can either do the Sacrifice or Distraction technique. I hope this helps to some but im not entirely sure about all of these stuff. It's just my ideas/opinion about saving someone.
@Dona Tran I know I'm 5 months late, but that's called face camping. The only way to combat it is to fake save. Pretty much press the save button, and then immediately walk away. Try to bait the killer into hitting the chair, and when they do their after-hit animation, save your teammate.
I've been playing identity v for a while and if there is one thing that will forever scare me while playing matches is ending up last when everyone already escaped. Because of that, I stick to the walls when there is only one cipher machine left looking for the exit but ending up last actually makes people a lot more nervous and wanting to rush things. Yes sorry about this unpopular opinion of mine. >.
Or just being last survivor in general TwT a lot of times I end up as last survivor when everyone else has been eliminated, no gates are open(or sometimes still ciphers left), and no idea where the dungeon is.

One tip I want give is to not gamble, what I mean is if you're decoding and you hear the heartbeat just GTFO, chances are they already know where you are! Also if you're rich maybe dark colored skins can help camouflage you
Kiting Decoding Rescuing But you also forgot Sabotaging The Gardener is good for delaying your deaths since the hunter will be struggling to find a chair and it'll give u time to struggle away and escape
Don’t “sabotage”. While you run around destroying those chairs, you could have decoded. You’re wasting time. Yours and your teams. Good hunters don’t care if all chairs are down. They will let you bleed out. The gardener is not a good character! Greetings ✌🏻

I only have two tips but i’m gonna share them anyway: 1- if the killer is listening, you don’t have to stop moving, just don’t run “btw if you’re decoding a cipher or doing an action he will be able to see you”. 2- having a problems with camper hunters? This will definitely help you: When your teammate is on the chair and you want to help them, let the hunter hit you first or use his ability then help your teammate out. “Sorry for my bad grammar. I’m not good at English”.
Since there are more maps now I know a tip on one ^^ So my friend and I were playing around on the theme park map (I forgot the name but the one with the rollercoaster) On that map you have 2 merry go around's. One is functional and the other is broken. If you ever get chased by the hunter and you are close to the functional merry go around, stay close to it and spam click it. You should be able to go on a horse and the hunter cannot ride on it nor hit you on there. It saved me on some rounds 😂

Actually I can’t play on that map, it makes me want to mess around instead of actually decoding and being useful LOL. I was literally kiting a geisha and detoured to ride the slide(and somehow befriended her though i woulda been the first to go down, then she ignored me the rest of the match while trying to attack the rest of my team, lol.)
A juke that is very efficient yet risky, is vaulting a window, and waiting until the hunter vaults the window. As they are vaulting it, run into the window and tap the interaction button rapidly, and the hunter likely will not hit you. Be aware, this can be countered.
The Fallen D.W. by Reese G. I might try this out more often, I have done it once successfully but I never try to do it predictably. It can work very well against jack as it resets his cool down when invisible but not very well if there is fog
Everyone swears gardener sucks but I like her and I've won MANY matches with her and evaded hunters successfully 🤷🏿♀️ I usually use her. I destroy chairs and decode, damn near flawlessly. Sure the hunters can fix chairs sometimes but if it's an extra step that could delay them why not? I've also had many instances in which most of the chairs are broken and hunters walk around looking stupid trying to find one and can't, allowing the team members to escape. She isn't so hated then but will never get praise for it 😂
Omg someone gets it!! She is my favorite because I can ALWAYS win a match with her. Her decoding is A1, she breaks chairs which gives people a chance to escape the hunter's grasp, and she can heal pretty fast. Totally an underrated character

Everybody's all decode crazy and so they put her down because they feel she's worthless or her skill isn't necessary or like you won't decode when you have her, just break down chairs. I don't think that's right to assume lol
It's because when u dismantle the chairs the hunter gets pinged, giving away your location and others too. Plus your wasting time by dismantling rocket chairs when you could be decoding
@@apersontired Nah. Chances are it may be hard to find and before you do find it (lost the exit gates?) You have a big chance to attract the hunter with crows. This is way harder with the minds eye but I figured that some interactive items (dungeon) dont really blend well with the surroundings (it stands out even if I'm decoding and my sirroundings go black)
The sound at 4:38 is actually the sound of the Hunter's increase in presence ability which indicates that Hunter unlocked or maxed it's special ability
Holy -san yeah I know how you feel like if your a minute in and no decipher have been decoded but the hunter has most people injured your most likely losing the round
Tip: run AT the hunter, not from it (It actually works) When u get hit once, n the hunter is recovering, RUN (Behind him anyways, every second is important :3)
oh and other one. the trapdoor can be used if you're the only survivor left in the game. or if the other survivors already escaped and you're the only one left. you can use it. highly effective on letting your team exit first then you wait for the trapdoor to open.
I kno right! Having a coordinated team is key! We usually land in a tie or win and it makes it really fun. My team is made out of: -Mercenary/Forward(me) -Perfumer/Curser -Mechanic/Mind’s Eye -Doctor/Seer And we have all the components we need to make a fantastic team!

Im new, but i recommend watching the abilities!! The ones that you think you understand the most, chose them! Learn how to play with them, you can always change your main, but i think is better to focus in just one :))
My faviourte character is the gardener and I have started to know the maps more and where the chairs are to disable, I concentrate on disabling the chairs so that if my team mates are caught they will be able to escape easier because their are no chairs around to place them in
It gives the team a disadvantage though since you're not decoding at the time and if something goes wrong and you don't have enough ciphers done you're screwed big time. They're good but once you get high in rank not so much.
ThotslayaDio I changed my fav character now I am the coordinator & third eye now them 2 in my eyes are great characters yes they have flaws but ever character does but if u know how to use them right they are some of the most useful characters in the game
Another tip is use the persona 'distress' which give allow other survival too see each-other when u are on a rocket,this will make your teamates know each others situation
tip: you can solo as forward, as you can constantly dash out of harms way also its almost impossible to terror shock him as he has the fastest vault speed

I have one tip too! If the hunter is the one with the shark weapon, you can dodge him super fast! (or any tall monsters, so no Spider) First run away from the hunter! When he is super close and about to hit you, run towards him and go under the arm he hits with. If you're cornered try this! (This not always works, sometimes they get super close where you can't move around to escape) Another tip is to have an all 1 gender game If you're all girls and want to play as a character that is the same gender If one has a gardener favourite, then have them go with the Coordinator! The coordinator can lead them away, shoot them, and run back while he's stunned! The gardener will save them and get rid of the chair! The nurse goes super good with any group, but she mainly is just useful for self heal... Engineer is super good too! While running away from hunter, place down your robot and then go back to your character super quick! You may lose your robot, but it's a distraction. One time I was in an all girl group, we just stuck together and did all the things I mentioned! But there's one bad thing... If you decideto be The Mind's Eye, find someone like a friend in game and follow them around! Or you can be followed by everyone and protect The Mind's Eye. Here's a tips from a hunter. This is for survivor: -when the game begins try to hide for 5-7 seconds on the nearest cypher machine so you know that the hunter isn't close -try "not" to decode together,they're easy target to takedown. -theres a character called enchantress(i think?) she can give the hunter a heart attack that will stunt them and if they're carrying survivor,that's your time to stunt the hunter. -check your team characters,sometimes they just gonna pick the worst build team so make sure to give them a second thoughts. -try to resist buying skins,hold that money(thats wut i call them :).) to buy a new character to improve your skills. -avoid close call window vaulting,there's a big chance that your gonna get terror shock. . Honnestly theres a lot of tips that i haven't mention,for the last one i think you should play it for yourself. Hit that rank matchs,you're gonna be surprise how amazing the players are. Here are some of my tips from my experience and from other people and youtubers, Warning! this comment is long. Rescuing 1. Try to make the hunter hit the rocket chair.(This example might not help but, when your gonna rescue touch the rocket chair and then go near behind the rocket chair to make the hunter hit the rocket chair(unless the hunter can angle) 2. Don't let the hunter's ability hit you when your about to rescue, hunter abilities: hell ember's puppets or fire clone, Smiley's dash, gamekeeper's hook can terror shock you when you are doing an action like decoding, when the Geisha goes up, drops down and hit you she will not have attack recovery(sometimes) this is also for every hunter when the fall down any stairs or high windows, axe boy's fireball, violinist's music string thingy, ripper's foggy blades, dream witch's servants can double hit you, feaster's tentacles, that's all I can remember sorry. Decoding 1. Try to get perfect calibrations cause it will make your decoding speed slightly faster. 2. The hunter can see which cipher you are decoding because the more the cipher is about to finish the more the antenna will shake. Kiting 1. If you want a pallet stun try to make the hunter hit a wall in the pallet range and then throw the pallet down. 2. If you are using enchantress or prisoner you can try to stun the hunter in the pallet range. 3. If you are the hunter and the survivor struggled free when you are in a pallet, you can use blink to move away from the pallet(unless the survivor isn't patient) Random situations 1. If you are playing as barmaid and you know the hunter is joseph don't mix until he takes a photo. Once the took a photo mix. If you mix then he takes a photo your fake self will be half health, and when the photo world ends you will be a one hit. 2. If the hunter is not near you but you want to vault a window just crouch then vault cuz it will not alert the hunter. But if you're gonna crouch then vault a pallet you're gonna vault that pallet slow. Endgame 1. DO NOT save the 3rd survivor when 1 person is already dead, not only the hunter has detention but the hunter also has full presence, and Wu Chang's full presence bell can really mess your controls.(unless you have to secure the tie) just get a tie 2. Mercenary can withstand the hunter's detention and can body block really good in endgame. If you know all these tips then congrats!and sorry for making you waste your time reading this comment. Lmao I wanted to just put 10 tips but I put 11, that 3rd one in the kiting tips is a bonus for hunter mains. Btw Grizzly thx for these tips
Tips from me I’m an identity v youtuber the tip that I recommend is if your a survivor if the hunter is near you but the hunter can’t see you, DON’T place the pallet or go across fences it will cause a red sigh that the hunter will know where you are.
Tip for winning the whole game be a gardener and destroy all of the rocket chairs to delay the hunter it helps you escape and decode while the hunter fixes the rocket chairs how to avoid campers is you should try to lure him then get him far away while your friend frees the one captured gardener isnt that bad it can turn the tide of the game tip if your nervous of being captured don't use kiting characters and next tip if the hunter is listening just duck its useless if your standing and moving

Be aware and always have a backup plan u never know what could happen in this game like very well said Grizzly know your buffs and debuffs because one wrong move u make could affect the entire team🤓
For note, the doctor can play healer and kite against hunters. This is realatively easily pulled off by those who drag the hunter around corners and barrels and shit, utilize the burst of speed when hit, heal themselves when safe, and then rinse and repeat the process. It is also very efficient for getting the attention of a hunter and stealing said attention from the survivor he just hit, especially if said survivor is new to the experience or if the still hasn't been more than two ciphers decoded. As said elsewhere in chat, it is also efficient for saving survivors.
Tip 9 is important as in this game survivors that die early can get points when the game ends. In that case it's better for them if you successfully escape than die trying to rescue them. Keep in mind other AHGs like dead by daylight do not have this feature.
A great way to absolutely debilitate the hunter on the carnival map is to utilize the rollar coaster. By entering the front seat and pressing go, you can ride to the next stop. Or, if you want to keep going further in one ride, keep tapping the go button till you reach the end. Another great way to screw with people on that map is to gain ground by riding the marry-go-round when chased. If the hunter is after you, you can use it to either hide or gain a few feet if you let the machine take you to the opposite side of the hunter.
here’s a bit of a tip for people who dont understand the new hunter ( the breaking wheel ) im still a bit unfamiliar but i hope this helps : When they transform into a wheel or a cycle- idk but they can get spikes on you, these spikes will put u at a disadvantage why? cause if the hunter hits u while u have a spike, theres a chance u can get incapacitated straight away. your teammates can help get the spike off of you but basically, try avoiding the new hunter. ( this is based off of experience, when they camp at the rocket chair they are mostly at “ wheel form “ or idk what to call it ) if u already knew this, sorry for wasting your time
1. when the hunter is following you, try kiting (run towards them, vault, run behind walls) to save your teammates time to decode. the longer you contain the hunter the better. you might get downed but by then your teammates can rescue you because they don't have to worry about the exit gate or decoding. 2. on the persona tree, unlock tide turner (it REALLY helps rescuer survivors rescue easily, even if the hunter is a camper)

It is a pretty good idea to familiarize the map, so you wont be pressured when your the last one to escape bc you already knew where dungeons located is

I really don’t know if the perfumer is a kiter, rescuer, or a decoder because of blackout (clearly a broken trait) it makes decoding a cipher quickly hard because calibrations are reduced 3x as much as a character with no decoding traits, her trait Euphoria can be used 3x making her good for kiting but once it’s gone she can’t do anything but decode, it can also be used for rescuing as you can take a hit while in affect of Euphoria go back and rescue and take another hit, but this makes it hard to kite the hunter from others while still not getting hit. She is good with maps such as Leo’s memory, Sacred Heart hospital, and lakeside village since they all have high areas that can be easy to trick the hunter and make it hard for them to do any damage at all but maps such as Moonlit river park and White street sand asylum are maps where there are large empty spaces making it harder to escape or kite the hunter Hell Ember, Soul Weaver, And The Feaster are the worst hunter for the perfumer since Hell Ember can make his puppets come after you making the Euphoria useless in that situation, the soul Weaver can use her webs to become quicker as easily hit you after you use the euphoria and the feaster can summon a tentacle at the location the perfumer used euphoria and get a hit off of her I can play the perfumer good but I can get far away enough to escape the hunter whenever I use euphoria as I try not to run because of the trail but the hunter still returns to the spot I first used Euphoria and I can’t do anything to slow the hunter from getting a teammate incapacitated and placed on a rocket chair I can change my persona traits to the correct one if I can figure out whether the perfumer is best at kiting, rescuing, or decoding
with the upcoming lucky guy buffs lucky guy will be a class that can kite and save this is solely because you will be able to select what item you would like to get out of a chest
I’m a Tier IV Survivor and I guess the video is not for me coz I see this as a basic knowledge for the game. I’m expecting to see some teamplays, team composition and etc. (Like having a Forward, Coordinator and a Thief. As the Forward or Coordinator stun the hunter followed by Flashlight of Thief, they will able to rescue efficiently) But well done! Nice video btw 👌🏼
Currently now mercenary is best kiter, as his iron dash can get him out of dire situations while not going too far and not intentional bumping onto to decoders(the iron dash doesn’t make him stop and rest), and his endurance(cause you know)
I have more tips and stuff I suggest team up with people who has most of all the survivors in game like tip 3 i suggest playing as the minds eye i know her vision is just plain black and as a hunter u need to listen for decoding ciphers or u could look at the outline of the ciphers if the cipher is moving it means someone is decoding it or another way u could just look at the antenna if its shaking or something it detects a survivor i suggest if u play as a hunter i suggest using ripper, geisha and hunters with a buff Hope this helps!

Lol one time i was playing as a survivor and all of my teammates had escaped . And ofc i was panicking bc i was the only one n the hunter was near. Eventually the hunter founded me and hitted me . And i thought they were going to bring me to the chair but they did the exact opposite they brought me to the exit and let me escape.I was kinda shocked but grateful .The hunter was nicer then my teammates lol.
I personally think that a common mistake I see survivors make is that when a person is chaired, about 2-3 ppl of the team go after the chaired person, which leaves ciphers undecoded. When someone is chaired, leave it to the rescue on your team or just let one person rescue, that way progress is still being made while someone is also trying to rescue ur teammate
The mind eyes (Helena) in my opinion was my very op survivor, like when i entered a game i hide in a place, and i can use his skill so i can know where is the hunter, and the decoding don't need some special tap, and its very fast to decode
That bell sound is an acoustic hint for hunter skill's level up. Normally, it happened when hunter hitting any survivor twice. U can vault without alerting hunter if u on crouch or walking.
The bell rings when the hunter get his ability. Hunter get his ability when he hits players 2 and 5(for update) times and gets points from that(to unlock ability need 1000/2500 points). It prooves by ringing when the hunter has "insolence", cause the bell will ring, but the hunter hasn't incapacitate surviver yet. A good tip: The hunter which uses the Puppet to teleport around, just dismantle the puppet. The puppet will fall over and you can crouch and hide in its head. I tried it before, the hunter did not see me. This will work only if the hunter uses the puppets.
My tip, many people play the decoder because they think it voids them of any kiting duty. Thats wrong, decoders are the ones that kite as the hunter tunnels them because they are too weak. When you're new to the game, I recommend that you start with the kiting and support characters first. Enchantress, Perfumer, Thief, and Doctor are good picks.
