It’s not in doubt that UNIFIL has failed to keep Hezbollah away from the Israeli border over the years. In fact Hezbollah is using them as shield against IDF so the best thing is for UNIFIL to be withdrawn as the area has become a war zone. Israel can’t allow Hezbollah to be staging attacks against it from UNIFIL positions and not do anything.

It wouldn't surprise me that while the UNIFIL base was being constructed the local arab contractors built the tunnels and shafts with UNIFIL diggers and cement in co-ordination. Building two sites by arab contractors at the expense of taxpayers money. If that's not the case the tunnels were built under the watchful eye of UNIFIL soldiers standing guard in the watchtowers.

That's shocking and disgraceful.
