Idina Menzel & Kristin Chenoweth being interviewed by Elliott Forrest about "Wicked" on "A&E Breakfast with the Arts" program in 2004(?). Great interview discussing their characters, costumes, and Taye Diggs's brief run as Fiyero (with Kristin's famous "I promise I won't stick my tongue down his throat!" comment).

And now Idina is getting a lot more attention because of FROZEN as the voice of ELSA!!!! Her performance in that movie has been considered her best since Wicked!!

Have you not seen the footage from Cheno's last show..? I mean, yes "they're actors" but if they really didn't like eachother... I don't think that Idina would have been crying the way she did and I don't think they would have embraced each other the way they did.

@LittleMissMe2006 I read somewhere - I think it was in Kristin's book - that during a Wicked rehearsal once she dipped Idina and full on kissed her! Lol. Or Idina dipped her ... but yes it happened. She said the whole cast and crew were in stitches and Idina said "And I enjoyed it!" Lol.

omg, i am a huge kristin fan, and I actually LOVE her hair. She looks beautiful. At first I was like Oh my god, what happened there, but she actually looks stunning and very bold. i like that she tried something new and in my opinion made it work for her.

Why are people so invested in wagering how much two people do or don't like each other? They obviously respect one another and also realize that their mutual success depended a fair amount on the other. It's amazing that just because they're not joined at the hip every single time they're seen in public, people with little better to do in their daily lives like to concoct some phantom feud to self-justify their meager existence.

Ding Dong, the Witch is Not Dead in this case. XD Proper respect to Maggie Hamilton & Billie Burke who set the stage for them. Also respect to Matilda Joslyn Gage, L. Frank Baum's suffragist mother-in-law who inspired the creation of all of Baum's witches in the source book that started it all. Tattypoo the Good Witch of the North & Glinda the Good Witch of the South were condensed into Glinda the Good Witch of the North for the MGM film & the various adaptations, Wicked included. Idina Menzel is Elphaba, the Wicked Witch of the West (thanks to Margaret Hamilton's character work from the MGM film & her attempts to make the Wicked Witch likable in outside projects like her appearance on Sesame Street [sadly banned], Mr. Rogers' Neighborhood, and Paul Lynde's Halloween Spooktacular, also featuring Witchypoo from Sid & Marty Kroftt's H.R. Puff-n-stuff). In Wicked, Elphie's crippled holier-than-thou sister is Nessarose, the Wicked Witch of the East.

@margarita141414 Maybe they do and maybe they don't. But do you really think actors are always themselves and honest in these interviews? They say and do what they have to do for the good of their careers. These two are professionals. If they hated each other, do you really think they would sit there sullen-faced and publicly express their dislike for one another? No, they would behave just as they did in this video and keep their personal feelings separate from their work.

@Sydride98 Durring the run he got a back injoury (idk how) and i believe had to get surgery or something and had to leave for a coupple of weeks but was back on in like 2-4 weeks. (Thank god because taye is good and all but is NOT a Fiyero not like NLB

yeah, but they probably changed the story so it was more to-the-point and appealing. not just that, but it showed the characters' depth without having to explain everything that was in the book. thats just what i think
