Great video, thanks Jamie. Shows the process really well, so everyone can see how much care goes into each wheel. I had a set of diamond cut wheels repaired by Bump Express for my Ford Kuga last year and the result was superb!
11.54 bone dry finish in the web of the spoke, would love to see these in real life. As I've said many times before, the average hedgehog hasn't a clue about a quality finish on powder coating or wet painting then start shouting about how fantabulous the job is lmao
I like the guy, crazy and enthusiasm enough to try things that he likes to his own car, i am a bit like him, buying all sorts of new gadgets to my car the moment they caught my eyes with the ads.
Really good video did an awesome job considering environmental difficulties masks noises etc cut cut energetic vocals cut energetic vocals relevant information... Very nice
Hi, I apologize for the inconvenience. but, I saw your video about stripping the thermolacage ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-mZvhsy4FA9U.html&feature=shareand, I would like to know which product you use. Thank you for your answer, Best regards,
Sweet video bro and wicked results. You can't spin up and machine the front face with tyre still on though so there's no risk there of missing the crack if anyone doing work on the wheels 👍
Nice sparkle. Just got mine done too. 150 bucks per wheel. Not too bad. Wish I coulda done my own wheels too cuz my guy didn't even paint inside the lug nut holes the first time.
Powder coating wheels are a quick fix but as soon as come into any sort of contact instead of scratching (which obviously isn’t what you would want anyway) they shatter and break in the most disgusting way and look 10 x worse than a scratch ever does
I run a small powder coat shop and can tell you it's common practice to shoot them hot, at around 120F, some people do it at a higher temperature, but def not higher than 200F.
For a "powdercoating shop" the way this guy has that hangar handle to move the wheels in and out of the oven, all the while TOUCHING the same product with that handle, is very UNprofessional way to do this, why not get an oven large enough to do all 4 in a full set, or more, and use carts with swivel hangers and then hook the wheels to them, and "hot flocking" both the main color AND the transparent sparkle as well, is not the best method at all, all together too easy to make a mistake that simply has to take the entire process back to the very beginning, instead of blowing or vacuuming the dry cool powder off and starting over at that very stage if need be.
What do you do, go up to an auto with nice wheels on it ,take a tire off, look at the non visible part of the rim, see a touch mark, then decide the rest I’d the beautiful wheel is flawed? If you want to critique, go and look underneath your own refrigerator. Is it immaculately clean? Do you combine pure sterilized oxygen and hydrogen in a clean glass chamber to make the water you drink and use? There’s a time and place for nitpicking.
Watch all the areas where the spokes almost touch the outer part and all the edges and all the holes for the bolts - I would have given them back and told them to try again. When i worked as a powder coater we'd only hot flock the primer, then check for pimples and sand them if needed, then apply the actual color coating, check again and then apply the clearcoat.
Hi, would you please share what kind of compressor you are using (bottle volume and productivity per minute) Also what kind of abrasive you are working on. Thanks in advance!
What a waste of time all that unnecessary prep. You should be shotblasting them wheels. I’ve been a powder coater for 15 years and those wheels my friend are shit, the gloss was sagging and the fleck was so patchy. I hope you paid less then 50 pound for them to be done lol.
How are you? hey I don't speak English but I would like to tell me the process of this work. I am using a google translator to communicate with you. I hope you can help me. Thanks a lot!!!
Who else is here because Lee Lockwood keeps rattling on and bitching about this guy? Im beginning to think that Lockwood has some sort of obsession with Jamie.
