Oh my GOODNESS, from all the tutorials yours deserves a 10 star! It’s absolutely amazing. Your teaching technique is so CLEAR. ABSOLUTELY LOVE IT. THANK YOU SO MUCH! Everybody can do this. So easy!
Is there a way to know how wide to make slippers if you don't have the foot to measure? For instance, I am making slippers for a kid that wears the xs equivalent to the pattern. I made it 33 chains in length as that was the conversion. However, I am unsure how to figure out the width. I would use my foot as a starting guide, but I have widish feet.

I’m 72 and this is the best crochet instructions I have ever seen. This is very useful and very easy to understand. Thank you so much. I’m going to buy some yarn and make me some slippers.
It took me about 2 years to finish this project and I finally finished them. I was so glad to be able to find this video again. They are the type of project that can be made all year round xx
Thank you for this. ♡ I've been crocheting for years but really only do blankets and scarves. It's going to be a pretty poor Christmas for my 3 children but I feel much better knowing I can at least make them a few things. I love the straight forward pattern and the clear way you communicate!
I used to crochet a lot. But through several moves I lost my patterns. I started looking today for slippers to do fast. I like your pattern. But most I like the clear way you explain and how you tell beginners when to stop and complete the section of the pattern! I have subscribed because of this. I am 73. I have many hobbies but this year I am fighting stage 4 kidney cancer for the second time in my life. So I am doing only fast easy things because I have to rest a lot. I am excited to make those slippers to warm my cold feet! Thank you.
This is so dadgum EASY! You could make these slipper socks/boots by crocheting around after you close the heel and toe to the height you want. I’m making these TAH-DAY! 🎉
Thankyou so much for this! I'm a wheelchair user who doesn't have many shoes at the moment (so I don't need shoes with a strong sole, they just have to look look like shoes and not socks) so I'm gonna make one out of all the yarn colours I have in my home and use them as my shoes for when I need delicate looking shoes for parties or events. I only own one pair of trainers and one pair of old hiking boots (from the days when I could walk, they're so old now 😂) and they're not exactly suitable for parties or events where I need smart looking shoes. But these are perfect! I'm gonna go from "2 shoes fiona" to 10 "shoes" fiona in only a few days 😂😂
I agree 100 percent with 72 year old. Im 62 and Im about to crochet Christmas slippers for family. That video is easy to understand and bless your heart. Thank you!!!!
While sitting in hospital several years ago I used this pattern to relax my mind. I also used this same concept to make clutch purses, by going around the main row of stitches until desired height and width. This was a great reminder.
Thank you so much for the video, I was trying to make one for my daughter from a very long time and tried lot of videos. Thank you so much😊 and God bless you
Im 71 and have only been crocheting for 8 months. Your instructions are so clear and precise I am making (trying) to make these slippers as we are going into winter now in South Africa. I just have a problem counting rows in crocheting without row counter.
I wanted to thank you for explaining the instructions very clearly and teaching this pattern you gave the best instructions I have seen. I will definitely follow you from now on
You have quickly become one of my favourite crochet channels. You go slow and simple, and I especially like how you tell us when to pause, as it keeps me from getting lost when hitting play again. Thank you for your assistance!
I just want to say, thank you for showing some of the little bits there. Like the point where you slip stitch the second from the toe. I'm working on a project now that involves slip-stitching pieces together, and it's frustrating. Seeing an obvious expert have the same issues I do--finding the V, pulling the yarn through, all that--makes me feel a lot better about my abilities in crochet. It's good to know that this is part of the craft, not me being incompetent. I know it may not seem like much, but to someone who's just starting to try to improve it really does mean a lot. I love the slippers, too! I have a young daughter that may need to get a pair of these!
Thank you, thank you, for keeping it simple. I looked at so many so called 'easy' patterns that, though I do appreciate their help, seemed rather confusing 🥴 . Yours is the best. 👍 ☺️
I just did a pair and lord it wasn't so easy, but this here is one of the best, easy and you can actually understand..Sending nothing but blessings your way 🙏..Thx I appreciate you ❤️
I must say this instructor gives the MOST ULTIMATE ELEMENTARY DESCRIPTION as how to crochet a awesome pair of slippers. If I had to choose one #1 RU-vid video (and believe me I've seen thousands) it would most definitely be her tutorial video. The end!!!!
Very nice. I am anxious to make a pair of slippers. I guess "You're never to old to learn" is true. I am a senior senior senior lady. Thank you so much.
I made myself a pair love this. I have neuropathy so my feet are always freezing. These are warmer than the fancy fuzzy slipper socks I've bought in chain stores. Thank you.
Thank you so much for this video. You do a great job of showing and explaining. I need to make my 2 year old granddaughter some slippers. Kid slippers are so expensive in the stores, I can make her a few pairs out of one skein of yarn.
I know what I am making this Holiday Season for gifts. I have yarn like nobody ‘s business Lol. I thank you for this video. My granddaughter will love it. 😘🙏
I’m going to use this pattern to teach a few girls my son is friends with to crochet they been asking time but I’m not a good teacher like this is easy please thank you so much ,
Cool 😎 nice soft house slippers. I go barefoot at home but sometimes the floor gets cold when we have rainy weather. I have yarn. Will try this. Way nicer than wearing socks. Thanks 😊
GREAT video, thank you! I LOVE that you didn’t waste time, yet provided thorough instructions, easy to see and follow. Before watching your video I thought “yeah, right, like I could really make those cute slippers”. After watching your excellent video, now I believe that i really can. Thank you! Everyone I know can now expect a pair of slippers! :)
Definitely easy and that's awesome.i finished a set for my 7 year old sis I less than an hour. Just personally wasn't a fan of how they look, but definitely great for beginners
Thank you so much! I kept thinking this was possible but just did not try it because I didn't want to use my brain! The pinch! Of course! Thank you, again!
O my goodness, Idiot proof 😅😅, i still messed it up, not looking to bad for my first ever crochet project. Practice makes perfect. Will definitely do it again. Thank you so much.❤
I ran across this idiot proof slipper pattern when I didn’t have time to even get the project started. After a hectic Christmas attempting to make every gift under our tree for our family (thank you inflation! 😢🙄). After enjoying Christmas with our family I attempted to go back to this pattern but could not find it even though I knew I’d “saved” it. -Finally found it again after having a jillion easy slipper patterns show up on a search! Your pattern and instructions are the best for simplicity and speed as well as looking nice. Thank you!
Omg I love this!!! Super easy. I have a mticolored yarn I had no idea what to do with. FYI for anyone: I am a smaller size 6, and because yarn stretches, i made my first row a chain of 29, and it fits fine.
dear littlejohn, thank you for sharing your creative idea of . at 2:49, you said in total it needs 42 rows; but it is too long to do 42 rows: I did 28 rows instead for the middium size. Thank you
