Hi Nisha ji...i made this batter but yesterday after following ur process...after keeping full day n night it didnt double up the quantity but i saw a layer of fermentation on top....here the weather is summer but my home is not that much hot...so should i keep it for more hours???now i covered it with blanket n kept near fan heater...is it good to do this way???plss reply.Thank u so much.

Once when i prepared the batter, the batter turned out to be somewhat thin consistency after fermenting. I added ragi flour to make it thicker and steam it. It turned out well with with brown color idli.

Super soft madarasi Idli recipe 👇👇👇👇 Salem Idli Rice 400GM Round urd dal 100GM Poha 50GM 1/2 GLASS cooked rice (125gms) sago big size 25GM 1 spoon methi 1 spoon jaggery (add while grinding) Fermentation required 18 hrs in rainy season in summer 12 to 14hrs While grinding urd dal use ice water only (Keep the urd dal in fridge 2 hr before grinding) Asher washed Dal the soaked water use for grinding) The rice should be grinded RAVA type , not paste .. Incase using rice Salt should be added before cooking not after grinding.. (Use soked dal water to grind)

Maybe. You can try it and let others know how it comes out. Frist try a small batch. In this video, she is saying the grind the rice to fine paste. But in other channel videos, they are saying, dal should be ground findely and rice should be little coarse when grinding. If you follow this method, then you CAN'T grind dal and rice together rice should be coarse grind while dal should be fine grind. If you grind both together, then this batter maybe good for dosa but not for idli. I have watched a video where the chef is saying she always grind both dal and rice together and there is no problem. You can try in small quanity first.

Hi nisha maam i keep trying ur recipes maam but my idlis are not coming out soft i follow all ur instructions still.....i am unable to get idli rice so i use gulabsoru rice which we eat at home please help me so i can make soft and spongy idlis.i make idlis in microwave since its faster

Maine normal rice se banaya ye first time. Thoda darr bhi tha ki kahin kharab na hojaye , par acha bana. Lockdown mein mere pas UDad ki safed dal nahi thi, to Maine chhilke wali Kali dal mein banaya. Maine dal bhigaane k baad usme se chhilke Nikal diye. Idli thodi cream colour ki bani, lekin taste mein bhaut achi thi.
