Obviously the guy is trolling, I can’t say I’ve ever watched any of his content but may have seen the name in passing and can also recognize a troll. But…… I think within that trolling he is still very uneducated or miseducated on the subject and is also trying to come across his audience as at least somewhat educated. So it’s fair to say he will get at least one uneducated person to vote like him but more than likely a substantial amount…. And that’s what’s sad.

For context around 2015-2019 there was this clique of really edgy youtube channels whose appeal was that they did a bunch of shocking, surreal, and offensive humor, and this guy was a part of that group. Like this guy had a video where they shaved his head and baked his hair into a cake and he pretended to be a cancer patient for the rest of the video. It was all just stupidity for the sake of being shocking
@@krislalone4160 The video is clearly a joke. I think that most younger people who watch that realize he's not being serious with his rankings. Also young people don't even vote anyway so it doesn't even really matter.

After watching this, gotta agree with the comment section in that the OG video seems more a parody of tier list videos. However seeing Chris' serious reaction and disappointment was wonderful!!! and got to share some facts too. Good video.

That's just it though. This IS how a lot of young people view politics. When conversation with my students strays towards politics or history, more often than not I'm staggered by the level of confident ignorance that permeates their logic, and many of them use that logic to form their whole worldview.
Just for a bit of context, because I am well aware of who this guy is and the content he does: iDubbbz is a content creator from the early 2010s and prior. He specializes in crass humor and incessant amounts of dirty jokes. He takes nothing seriously and works to be as offensive as possible online. Never expect a serious video out of him. That said, his flavor of humor is entirely what helped craft my generation of viewers, those who were born in the early 2000s, so he's an icon of an earlier time tyat many still remember. The internet wouldnt be the same without him.

VTH, love your vids and for context this guy is a comedic youtuber and most(if not all) of his content is satirical. In the mid 2010s he would say some extremely provocative things in his videos that are far 'worse' than this, so don't take him too seriously. He's actually intelligent from what I remember, but he's playing a sort of character here.
Describing Eisenhower as "Kind of a war guy I guess" would be like describing this channel as "Kind of a channel about Indian history from a guy named Sam Nixon". Like yeah its true but leaves out a lot of detail. haha
People who requested this should have warned you. iDubbz is a very wacky guy. This tier list shouldn’t be taken seriously. It’s gonna be filled with raunchy humor and all kinds of wacky stuff. I don't think anyone informed Chris that idubbz is seriously mentally unstable and not a person anyone sane would take seriously about anything. Troll or not, idubbz is one of the many "anuses" of the internet.
How can you tell. He looks and sounds serious enough about his decisions. If he is joking he is doing a terrible job at ptotraying so. Also, it is not funny to joke about a country that slaughtered and tortured millions of people.
@carronade2456 Because this video was made back in day for his fans, this wasn't even his main channel, it was a channel you had to be a dedicated subscriber of his to even find. It wasn’t made for random people on the internet to find, it was meant for his subscribers who shared his humor and hatred of squirrels.

I agree. It's a very optimistic view of humanity, and I don't think it was accurate even when he said it, and certainly isn't today. I suspect, though, that Reagan probably didn't really believe it either. I'd bet he saw it simply as an inspirational way to reinforce his point, in a setting where the whole purpose was for nations to work together for common good.

iDubbbzTV is supposedly a comedy channel, but the video was just so matter-of-fact, vocally dead, and painfully unfunny. You wouldn't even be able to guess he's joking if you miss the word "thiccums" which itself is such a forced word, like he's trying to adapt the word "thicc" into a post on iFunny or 9gag, someone needs to get grandpa back to his bed. How do so many people find him funny?
I’m pretty sure this is from the time period on RU-vid when literally every person was making a tier list, and this is a satire of that. idubbbz is definitely more of a weirdo now, but he used to straight up call out bad RU-vid trends and was known for it. Your historical additions actually make his video funnier though. I used to watch idubbbz to be entertained, but now I watch you to learn!

As someone who watched iDubbbz (regretfully haha) in my younger years, I can fully and totally say he is 99% completely kidding with a lot of these takes. But I totally enjoyed the video and how you still added in bits and pieces of history

As you can see from some of the comments from other people who've seen Idubbz other content, it's kind of ironic that you were talking about researching people and making informed judgements while not understanding what he was going for with this video
This is such a poetic representation of the lack of depth most young people have in their thought process. i’m 24 so I’m not some “boomer”complaining about kids my generation is genuinely a joke
If you're taking Idubbz seriously, then you certainly don't act like 24. Also as someone who is 20 in my opinion you are completely wrong about the younger generations.
