IDW Sonic Issue #55 

I think Attacking bell was the part that went against eggman’s orders not the hesitation to attack her. Eggman told metal to try and not harm bell. Him hesitating was do to eggman’s request.

Just an idea...but this kinda reminds me of Shadow...I know that he was created from scratch, but the at the end he was also made, with powers and everything...Maybe Starline read some Gerarld Robotnik notes from the eggnet

He probably feels like the biggest, meanest, nastiest, creepiest, most insensitive jerk of a hero for all of the taunting he threw Surge's way; and rightfully so. He STILL doesn't even know the worst of it. *sigh* If only Metal COULD speak.

Yea, some of the covers made it kinda misleading cause it made it look like they were gonna double down on the Starline Hallucinations until it overwhelms Surge, but yea I’m still perfectly fine with what happened here, each issue in this arc so far has been top tier for me. I do wish Kit played more of a part in this issue since it feels like he kinda just sat back while Surge was taking center stage but it looks like he’ll be involved a bit more in the next issue since it sounds like it’ll be a big final fight between the groups

@Ultimate Sora thats pretty true but the only things thats pretty much better is his personality tbh hes more likeable then any other media hes from maybe he just doesnt feel the need to try and be stronger or something idk really how to put it idw silver doesnt give the vibe hes able to kill sonic comparied to when he almost did in 06 again like i mentioned he probably doesnt want to use his powers as much for battle which probably made him not as a good fighter anymore (especially since he isnt constantly battling in the future anymore unlike 06)

I assume that the reason Starline wants to take over Eggperial City isn't to proving that he's superior than Eggman by taking away all of his stuffs, but to take its resources and tools so he can use them to create more replacement heroes by kidnapping more people to altered their minds and bodies. Him using the Badniks attracted by the override signal to lure Sonic and Tails into town so Surge and Kit can defeat them is only a means to prove that his methods and creations are superior to Eggman's, as well as to remove major distractions so that no one can stop him once he took Eggperial City entirely.

He tried to make a get away when he belly flopped out of the Eggwalker; even if she didn't have the dynamo cage, Eggman would be no match for Surge while unarmed. The only reason he threw down with Starline while unarmed was because Starline was unarmed too by that point. Sonic would bring a world of hurt on him in a fisticuffs, and Eggman knows it. There's being cowardly, and there's being smart. Still, I WOULD like to see Sonic rough him up.

OC replacement's for the main heroes. He intended for them to kill Sonic and Tails, along with Sonic's other friends, and replace them as, seemingly, the new heroes of the world.

Yeah, but metal has been the main one that was made to 1 up sonic in everything. Then after all of that, he gets jumped by two rookies thinking they are the shit, and also get flicked on the head like he ain't shit. He deserves the runback.

As of Issue 12, all he has been is an excuse for the heroes themselves to endanger lives by repairing him! Sonic had Tails do so and chose to not stop Metal from escaping. What happens? Eggman is back! Now everything bad that is related to Eggman since then is and will be Sonic's fault! The Metal Virus, the Deadly Six attacks, Kit and Surge? Sonic's fault! It's not completely his fault, and he doesn't even know about it; but his not knowing and his current attitude make him seem VERY ignorant! Then BELLE repairs Metal, after Starline TOLD her that Metal helped him bring Eggman back! She should have been too scared to go near him, let alone repair him! Sonic, of course LET her do it, much to Tails' unease. She was also bluntly honest to Eggman about the whole networking thing. Regardless, of that last one, what happens? Sonic gets a leg injury and Belle gets a smack in the face. It needs to stop! Metal Sonic is a monster, not a person; and he should be treated as such! No more heroes repairing him!

Considering Eggman's Chao Garden's password in Sonic Adventure was "Eggman," I wouldn't be surprised if it's something like that, "Robotnik," or something about "hating that hedgehog."

I enjoyed this Issue Eggman fighting Surge and defending himself as well. And fighting Dr Starline In Issue 50 as well. I have never seen Eggman fighting like this before It’s just amazing seeing him fighting like this. Looking forward to the next Issue as well 😊

It is not; just because Frontiers mentioned Tangle does not make the whole comic series canon to the games! It just means that Tangle is canon to the games.

Eggman could have Ordered bring back any part of bell that has her date meaning tearing her apart as long as the data core is ok. The fact he said that shows just a flicker of his Tinker side in not wanting to hurt Bell.

Honestly, at this point, I think Ian, and possibly Even, have just been PURPOSEFULLY making Sonic a bumbling stupidhead just to make literally ALL of his friends look better by comparison.

Have metal actually doing something good or helpful not because he was ordered to or his programming working in one's favor (belle). Even the sonic ova made more sense with what metal does before dying when it comes to him possibly becoming good. Eggman at best spares Belle out of ego of his craftsmanship and seeing a use for her. Not any goodness or Tinker coming out. Or else he'd have spared windmill village of being the first to fall to the metal virus. You know it's funny that the story never writes sonic to go there after that horrific event because then it wouldn't make sense for sonic to argue the goodness in him later on. He'd naturally be too upset to. Well maybe not this version of sonic that is love sick for Eggman. Old Archie sonic would've been allowed to beat him senseless. Oh man I can't believe only Archie ever had sonic throw down with Eggman in any serious fashion. Metal virus would've been prefect for that but the deadly 6 had to steal the show.

Expect everyone deserves a chance. Yes it’s a risk to give villains chances and at most bits you in the end but you can’t just toss them as lost causes and just throw away your principles. Right now Surge needs let’s focus on that.
