I achieved a Writing score of 7 and a Speaking score of 7.5 in my recent IELTS exam, resulting in an overall band score of 7. Following your guidance for both modules, I attained the desired score in just three weeks. Thank you for your valuable contribution.
It's so nice to see others like the English language and to see them follow their dreams! I hope to one day take and pass the IELTS test in a couple of years when I'm at a suitable age and fulfill my dream as well, and thanks to you I now have an idea of how to begin training in advance, thanks a million, Chris!
I gave myself 40 days to prepare for IELTS and I came across this channel, because of you I scored 8 in Listening, 9 in Reading, 6 in Writing and 7 in Speaking. THANK YOU CHRIS! KEEP UP THE GOOD WORK!
My exam was on the 13th of Jan, I got the results yesterday. I scored overall 7.5,,= L8.5 R7.5 W7.0 S7.5. Thank you Chris your tips and mock tests really helped me out
Thanks a lot with your help I get 7.5, with IELTS writings in your website I earned 7(even my friend with 8, get 6.5). But little bit messed up in speaking part(7).
Good night everyone! First of all I'd like to say that the girl in this video perfomed so well, she way such self-confident in her speech, she controller her phrases and accent and in the same time the examiner came up with the good, convinient questions :) and the studio also is so well organased with the modern microphones, keep up the good work 👍 but I just have noticed one mark: at the beggining of the Interview the man asked her about the Websites that she uses, but the woman replied tha she uses the social media, not the Websites :) Personally for me it's a big differences :) for example daily I use such websites as Guardian, Avito (as I am living in Russia), where I can read the news in Mass media or website to order clothes, food... Of course most of the companies have their one apps, but talking about the social media - their was made in purposes to publish smth like videos, photos and share with it with your friends.... While websites have much more functions :) okay, maybe she was nervous too much, but it's all right
I got a 8.5 in ilets with 8.5 in reading, listening, speaking and a 7.5 in writing and I have to thank you for that. I came across your channel and it was a game changer, especially for speaking. I never thought I'd get a 8.5 but I went with what you said and was myself and spoke in my natural way of speaking. The only note I took was to use two common idioms I had pre selected to fit any question haha Thank you Chris. You are doing an amazing thing.
Part 1: 1. What's your favorite teacher? My favorite teacher is my Grade 12-homeroom teacher, she also taught Physics. I like her because she gave us deep insight about Physics in a very easy way. And also this is the last year in high school, so I had many memories with her like 2. What's your favorite subject? - English (cool when communicate with foreigners) 3. Do you ever miss being in high school? Yes why: don't worry about money, time, live near parents, neighbor friends (know each other well) when: especially in the first year of univeristy 4. Like public or private vehicle? -private 5. easy to catch public transportation? - yes 6. drive private car popular? - in city - not in countryside 7.8.9 When use Internet? what website and frequency - everyday for studying (take note on Google docx, learn online (self-study is the main beside class time)- RU-vid), connecting with family members, friends via social media platforms: Face, Mess, part-time job: online English tutor - every time from when I get up to go to bed 10. What do in freetime? - spoil myself (sleep// wander around my neighbor/ listen music- Chi Pu/ cooking) 11. what do on weekend? - prepare for the next week, enjoy with family Part 2: Describe a day when you thought the weather is perfect have summer vacation on the beach with friends (4 people) - didn't plan before (one thought it's pity not go somewhere when the weather is good) - on the way drive there, 2 sides: beautiful sunny on white sand --> eager to sunbath, build sandcastle, play beach volleyball, make luch outside: grilled steak (seashore) - to the hotel: check-in quick and prepare things --> go to the beach: had fun for a while, (with many people there: swim, go on a boat, sunbathe) suddenly: it got darker (black cloud came from nowhere), lightning, strong wind, and heavy rain (everyone was panic, ran back their accomodation, safty guard kept people in shore and reminded those boating return to shore, we had to packed things quickly. (Pity: stay in hotel for the rest of the holiday) - lesson: watch weather forecast when go to somewhere far away.
Part 3: 1. What type of weather do people in your country disike most? + don't know exact name (in the beginning of the year- lunar calendar: spring, humid+heavy rain all day night: can't do anything outside the house, results: dirty, cold, everything gets wet: floor, fridge, clothes can't dry --> annoy) 2. What jobs can be effected from weather? pilot (delay) construction worker (build house) street vendor 3. What the best way to get accurate weather information? -different from ppl-ppl - weather forcast on TV (official) x on apps: not reliable (fact: rain outside, app: sunny, sometimes) 4. Is it easy to predict the weather in your country? Yes and no Yes: as most of the time right (advanced technology) - experience from ancient: it's rainny when dragonflies fly low and vice versa - just right within a few days longer time --> No due to extreme weather phenomena change unpredictably

I am worried about my reading test 😢 My brain gets foggy after reading section 1, when I move to section 2 even if I read it 5 times I don’t understand 😣 Even though it’s easy 🥺
Hi there, we'd be delighted to help you improve your reading. We have a range of course options which are suitable for your needs. Send us an email so we can discuss the options available to you.
Usually all Indians speak English because of England, but their accents don't get better, maybe it doesn't matter, but I care. There is one more thing I want to say, and that fluent speech is not very necessary, because most of those who are native English speakers do not speak fluently, for me, it is important to speak calmly and use words with the correct meanings,
I appeared in ielts exam by just watching your videos and i got pretty good result. I got 7.5 in speaking and overall 8 band. I followed your tips. I was just being casual and answered with my natural accent. Although i messed up the cue card a lil. Still i got 7.5 . A huge Thanks 👍
For the new candidates i have a suggestion for you guys, Speaking is based on your skill and fluency but it also depends on your luck and also depends on the instructor sometimes the instructor won’t give you mush a time you needed to finish . Like my personal experience yesterday was my IELTS speaking exam the instructor was look’s (don’t judge by their looks specially IELTS instructors)friendly at the first place at the beginning of the tast 1 he asked me some questions after a few questions he was giving me few time for answering, like i have to answer a question at least 1-3 lines but he changed to a new question while i was talking and said only 1 word.On the cue card they have to give us 1-2 minutes to take prep he gave me hardly 30 sec and when i was performing cue card he let me talk for 1 minutes! Which is very annoying. So the reason i am writing all this because I want you guys to know what can be happed in the hall and yea best of luck for them who are going to give IELTS ❤
@@patelshiv6781 hi mate, it's a relatively easy exam so don't over complicate it to start with and watch some videos to get a grasp of the exam is about and practice a lot especially the listening and reading. Besides that just remember it's an exam testing your English skills and not an IQ test so keep it simple.
The only person who gives me confidence is you by saying "imagine you're speaking to a friend" or students, thank you so much❤ I'm a teacher and I know my level is at least C1, but unfortunately I'm suffering from anxiety. I have taken part in an IELTS course recently and they are giving us wrong advice, the worst part is they make me feel like I don't hv enough knowlege😢

These kinds of videos are really helpful ; I take the questions in this vedeo and I try to answer to them that's how I practice English (I am sorry if I make any mistakes )❤
Just here to say thank you for your videos! I just got my IELTS results with an average score of 7.5 . L-7.5 ,R -7 ,W-7 and S-8... Your videos and prep materials from the British council helped me a lot..
He is one the great Instructor. Nothing needs for me but just hearing his motivational tips which gives me hope and elevate my confidence. I am from Bangladesh.
Pls guys answer my question Is ielts on general hard ? Like I can speak very well and listen and read very well, if I studied online without taking courses can I get band 7 ?
not that i would recommend to anyone else but i am a nervous wreck when it comes to talking to someone new even in my own language....i just got the idea through no fault of yours that i better take some anxiolytic
I got 7.5 overall, 8.5, 7.5,7 and 6.5 in Listening, Reading, Writing and Speaking respectively. Chris's main advice of keeping things simple had helped me a lot. I got that score solely by watching tons of videos from youtube. The free samples chris has provided should be used by all other ielts givers...it's great. And thanks Chris, your videos were helpful.
@@HearttoHeart1212 Well i used chatgpt. Tell it to do speaking session with you and practice in front of the mirror (Although the voice system was good, it was quite sloppy or poor at times). Similarly, i had installed some of the ielts apps and honestly, i sang songs with lyrics everyday, especially the rap songs😂.
Hi Sir, when the examiner asks me a question, does he base his rating on if i answer it a certain way, or the way i speak, or both? As certain questions i need more time to think about, and if i dont have an answer for example, do i just say and elaborate on that?
Hi there, please refer to the post on our website about 'IELTS Advantage - IELTS Speaking Criteria'. I'm sure you'll find the answer there. If you have any further questions or need our team to help you prepare for your exam, please reach out to us.

It was really challenging for me, if not impossible, getting high band score like about 8 from listening and reading around a month ago, but thanks you sir. I improved my knowledge, while learning tones of strategies, tips and tricks from your videos and I am targeting to get at least band 7.5. Please wish me luck, because I think, much more luck is more power for exam. So, thank you again.🙂

Hey, just a small doubt. I have been practicing from Cambridge ielts academic 15 and in the answer key for listening, some words are written in brackets. Is it compulsory to write those too, for the answer to be correct?
Hi there, you will often see this in the answer key. This means that it's okay to include or exclude the words in the brackets. If you have any further questions or need our team to help you prepare for your exam, please feel free to contact us.
Hi Sir, I got my results today, L7R7W6.5S7.5, overall 7.0! Your videos about each section has helped me a lot, your channel is the best resource I’ve had during my preparation. And the main thing about being polite and smile to the examiner during speaking section made me confident, relaxed and resilient to stress. THANK YOU! Best wishes!
Thanks, Chris, your advice helped me a lot to obtain the band 7.5 score that I was aiming for. Among all others, you are the best one to tell us to keep it simple, with no fancy words, and no unnecessary vocabulary ... i just talk and write as simple as you said and get the desired result. Wish you more and more success... Regards. My exam date was 09.01.24.

I did better in IELTS speaking in IDP. They gave me 7. I think they do not want to give marks so that you keep trying more and more. I get bombarded by IDP advertisement on RU-vid. I don't understand why they are so desperate?

I had a weird speaking test unlike ones in your videos. In part 2 I felt I had not spoken at length maybe a minute or so then the examiner said time is up. In part 3 he keeps on cutting me like a debate. I saw his timer and I can see for the whole test it is only 13 minutes. How quick! Test result just came out I got 7 for speaking. Listening 8.5, reading 8.5, writing 6.5, speaking 7. Thanks, Chris. And to teachers on other channels such as Asiya and Jay.
@@djokernole202 in speaking part 2: tell about when you get bad service. I told about how I was not served by the waiter in a restaurant. in part 3 the examiner talked and asked about how important is good service. in writing part 2 how much do you agree/disagree if children is making their own decision it will be good for their development

Question: I can't pronounce the letter s (/s/ not /z/) properly (despite the speech therapist tried to help) and that creates confusion sometimes when I speak to people (because it sounds like an f). I hope we don't need to inform the examiner at the Speaking Test? Thanks!

I noticed she had used the word "wherein" a couple of times. I looked for its meaning and i think she used it wrong in some cases, such as in the first question of part 3. Am i right?
