Interesting! i watch mind your language comedy series, and learn about i-e rule. It says "i" before "e" except after "c" this video proves that the rule is not completely right.

I used to spell believe incorrectly,i would spell belive.Thanks emma

I think that spelling mistakes depend of from where you from. For instance, I'm from Spain and I know perfectly well that the word "society" is written with "ie" because in spanish is "sociedad" so it's easier to remember.

Thanks for the video. For me is hard to remember the spelling of words that are similar in Spanish like "lenguaje" and "language" or "receive" and "recibir" they kind of sound similar and it confused me

I highly recommend to bring with yourself in the class some little device with the application Google ON-translator in case you need to correct smt.:)

I can know which one is correct by looking to the words, but it is a bit difficult to memorise them while writing paragraphs.

I have a book of "101 helpful hints of IELTS module" which clearly says " Spelling is not important in the listening sub-test, except you must spell words correctly when they are spelt out for you on the tape". Kindly verify, if we misspell any other word which is not spelt out for us, would it be considered as wrong?

The words I have problems spelling and pronuncing are. Thought, tough, through, trough, tought, thong, tongue, taught ...etc

Hi Emma, or anyone who have taken IELTS before, I would like to ask if I have the answer correct but I use capitalisation for the first letter instead, does it consider wrong? For example: answer is "summer school" but i gave "Summer School" instead. Will that consider correct or wrong? Thanks in advance.

oh no... I got wrong on number (3), (9) and (10). on the first test. I was confuse wiht your spelling, and I wrote like this: (3) there, (9) I forgot the letter "e" after t, and on 10 (wich) that is right Emma... I look forward to your answer thanks...

Is it any problem, if I do some erasing on the answer script ? That means I have answered with a word but which is misspelled by me, Then I cut the word and write the correct one beside it. is it allowed ???

1.government 2.environment 3.their 4.different 5.believe 6.percentage 7.society 8. Until 9. Definitely 10.which 11.nowadays
