That's true, but considering that budget competition like Tanchjim ZERO or CCA CXS does not exhibit that grainy upper frequency decays, then I am inclined to say they could be better
we audiophile can sometime be too demanding on gears , especially gears that's tailor for a different market , guess what I buy one of this for my elderly mom ( 89 soon to be 90 ) and she's praising it for the positives , for her ( now no more 3.5 jack ) new smartphone .. its refreshing sometime to read opinion from someone totally non audiophiles FYI, there is a DSP version of the Tanchjim Zero which like the Quark DSP had a fixed type C interface
This is nothing related to the video. But I would like to know your opinions on LG quad DACs. I own a LG v50s and I'm using it with Tripowin Olina (modded) and letshuoer s12 pro. It sounds just like a normal phone to me and should I buy a DAC like Link 2 Bal or just go for the budget DACs like Jcally ap10. Which DAC would you recommend for Olina? I could use a little bit more bass and wider soundstage (even though olina modded with wide bore tips are one of the widest soundstage on IEMs that I've used). I just want a DAC and use them for like 2 or 3 years to buy a flagship gears. Those would be my budget endgame. I am tired of jumping from one gadget to another.
I have LG V35 and LG V50. Their ESS Sabre Quad DAC are undeniably good but I have issues with the native digital sounding or should I say less organic timbre. Not forgetting the typical tall but narrow soundstage. Otherwise I would have loved it a lot more. You get more Bass by tuning your Ear tips or even changing to more bassy IEMs, or you do EQ, good DAC/Amps tend to be neutral and doesn't try to color the output. Nonetheless, my current recommendations would be iBasso DC03Pro, it offers flagship sound quality with flagship features on top of it
#Neutral&Natural-wellseperatedCLUB! try it guys . now you can hear what we tirelessly mix as the producer and musician intended 😊 . guys out there don't get your ears hooked on those v shaped too much guys, stop hearing to that spotify and mp3 ( limited dynamics and resolution ) stuff, go for "lossless" formats files or streaming like Tidal, Qobus , Amazon HD or Apple with good DAC/decoder with Bit Perfect Mode. IEMs is good, Openback Headphone is better, greater and more musicality get a reference speakers 😁. a lil fun won't hurt, but natural is the way to go. just my preference and what i do for a living
would this Quarks DSP work with a USB-C Female to Micro USB Male adapter for Android smartphones that have micro usb power adapter? Or would it also depend if said smartphone supports OTG? tia
I wish I can give you a definitive answer on that but without a Micro USB phone it's hard to tell if it will work. The tricky part would be the adapter to Type C which can be a hit and miss affair, but the rule of thumb, if the adapter works fine for OTG data stream then it should work with Quarks DSP
I'm not familiar with IEM, how they are different from regular earphones! One quick question, can I listen to musics from RU-vid music app with this moondrop quarks dsp?
IEM is In Ear Monitor. They are earphones that you insert into your ear cavity deeper and with better seal than traditional earphones. Yes you can use this for RU-vid or any other Android app
Hi Andy, which is a better choice in terms of sound quality and resolution, moondrop quarks dsp or tanchjim zero? I have the tanchjim tanya as my travel iems, and the cables are damage and looking for an upgrade between quarks dsp and tanchim zeros. I tend to like both harmanish and neutral signature so I am confused if which one of them would be better when paired with the abigail og. I have also recently bought the shuoer s12 pro which is still on shipped. And I like to buy another iem for travelling. Which would be a better choice between these? Thanks
It's quite easy, Tanchjim ZERO is superior in all aspects compared to Quarks DSP, however it is not Harman tuned and will appeal to those preferring more neutral tuning with mild Midbass boost. I like ZERO so much that I use it regularly everyday. And of course pairs great with Abigail Pro. But hey that's my preferences, some people may find the more colored and vibrant soundnof Quarks DSP to be better 😁
Tanchjim ZERO is a personal favorite to mine and I prefer it over Quarks any time. Zero tuning is similar to Etymotic so it just jive with my personal taste. It has amazing resolution, speed, transparency and technicalities, but may prove a bit bland to some people as it is uncolored (just very minor boost with Midbass)
No comparison, ER2XR is very neutral and will appear a lot flatter in contrast to vibrant Quarks DSP. ER series is a lot more resolving too with crisper imaging. Tanchjim ZERO is the one similar to ER2XR
On my Pixel 6a, when i connect moondrop quarks dsp, it shows 'charging connected device using USB'. And then it cannot use it until I replug it. Please help guys 🙏🙏🙏
@@modigosmidig NO I have this mic sounds the best imo You have no idea mic depends on device I can upload some mic samples of quarks DSP it sounds so clear and much better than any earphone Idk
