Its seems more like a generalization of all Christians, more than a display of fundamentalist views. While, yes it does show these people taking the words of the bible quite literally, it does not specifically say that they are fundamentalists. You see I think we mostly agree that these are ridiculous arguments, but those arguments (and other irrational or unconvincing arguments) are all the skeptical ever get from deists. I recognize that there are different views on the bible and religion in general- some more rational than others. But in the end believing in a magical being that exists outside of the physical world but cares who you have sex with is something I would say is irrational. In fact, believing in magical beings in general is pretty irrational. I am not trying to antagonize you but (to me at least) it seems a little trite to say "These views on god are uninformed and ignorant of science, but mine are adequate and supported". Yes, some things like the acid comment show a lack of understanding of the principals in question, but what are the arguments or evidence that convinced you of your beliefs?
