I liked the fact that all the scenarios wern't all one sided, and both Sonic and Eggman were dealt bad cards at different points (and sometimes at the same time).

Or, for the last one, Sonic gets to the Death Egg Robot before Eggman

1. Eggman's ship carried a whole big ball... 2. Extreme flamethrower comin' outta the ship's under... 3. I thought that was Minecraft until the blocks started falling... 4. Yeah... Maybe the spikes wasn't a good idea... 5. Release one, released all... 6. Can't just sonic get on one of those crushers?? 7. Sonic's gonna flex his new car... 8. Go near Eggman and kick him outta his ship... 9. Since when does the arrows activate by vibration?? 10. Metal is a conductor of electricity too, Egghead... 11. Maybe add another covering to that ship... 12. Don't dig straight down... 13. The trumpet's vibration was too much... 14. America's gonna be mad once they see that... 15. Since when did I say Super-Charged lasers was a good thing... 16. That one magnet was keeping the robot together...

So the hardest bosses were actually Eggman's worst ideas. Who would have guessed?

I think a better question is, why does Sonic keep starting the boss fights with 0 rings?
