Yeah, most people think it's weak because of how Naruto used it before Sage Mode. Naruto was fighting opponents stronger than him so he used numbers. But after learning SageMode and he became Kage Level, all his clones too are at least Kage Level. So Shadow Clones mutiple your original power effortlessly

They still die in one hit lol. They will at most live through a hit if it's too weak, otherwise they're still one-shot

If those clones were of equal power than Naruto would easily used that to defeat opponent stronger than him like 10 sage mode easily would have defeated pain but Naruto was about to die against tendo pain and Naruto with sage of six path or 100 kcm clones with equal power would defeated madara easily and he would have defeated easily with his shadow clone if all have equal power. Example - during war arc if naruto has 10000 pl in kcm mode and madara has 50000 in Edo State no matter if Naruto had 100 clones he still lose because it divide his 10000 into 100 not make equal 10000 x 100. Even that's was really op Naruto would easily beat pain, madara, kaguya, momoshiki, ishiki

I though the Dragon Ball version was a more inferior version of Naruto's? With Naruto, its only the chakra that gets evenly divided. With Dragon Ball, its everything including base stats. Ki is exactly the same, the blend of physical and mental energy. The Shadow Clone Jutsu also returns chakra to the user when dispersed by death or impact, as evidenced from the Nature Transformation training for the Rasengan, and Sage mode training. Even when a clone disperses from external forces, the physical and mental experience, i.e. the chakra, returns to the user. EDIT: Of course, some energy is naturally lost with both because whatever chakra or ki the clones use is depleted from the user's total energy pool, and that's in addition to the energy it takes to manifest the clones in the first place.
