This reminds me of James 4 v 4 "You don't have because you don't ask. And when you ask, you don't receive because you ask amiss/with ulterior motives".
@@summerrain6125 Yes bro. If God sees that the motive behind your prayer ain't pure, you ain't getting no answers. "You don't have because you don't ask. And when you ask, you don't receive because you ask amiss/with ulterior motives, that you might spend it upon your lusts".
@@rinzo2009 ahh ok. Like asking for money to spend it on fancy Sneakers? Or asking for a wife to have sex? What would be a good reason to ask for those things then?
Hahaha...! Thank you for the laughs! So true how impatient we are at times, though, while for God 7 years is nothing. "A man's heart deviseth his way: but the LORD directeth his steps." Proverbs 16:9
God called my husband to live in a different city (800 miles away.) We thought we were agreeing to 12 months but the timeline has been pushed back so many times. From the outside, we look crazy but every time we ask the Lord to confirm that we are acting in His Will, He graciously does. It’s now been 30 months and he is moving home this week. We have both grown so much and seen God do amazing miracles for us. I’m so thankful for this season and so excited for it to end.
@TheRealMACA From my understanding, it seems to refer to Jacob's working for Laban for 7 years to get Rachel (in Genesis 29 and following chapters), and ended up marrying Leah first, before working another 7 years. Though in the end it is written that he worked for Laban for 2 decades.
This hit home fr. Seems God has been emphasizing patience. Actually in 1st Corinthians it says love is patient... That's the very first attribute listed. Lol Patience is listed even before kindness!
You nailed that 😂 cause this marriage journey does teach you to fast, pray, worship, praise, full submission to God then you recognize Lord you are teaching me Patience! Grateful for the journey. As He’s preparing them for us, he’s also preparing us for them!
