I like to believe Jesus was a confident and silly (yet respectful and serious) guy lol. You aren't filled with endless joy, love and patience without being confident and probably a little silly Idk if the Scriptures back up my claim, hopefully this isn't considered blasphemy
"How can you make Christian friends if you never leave the house?" Like my prayer to meet a Christian man: "God, you're welcome to just drop him right in my living room! But let me know first so I can vacuum and get the laundry off the couch."
As a man in my 2nd year of marriage, not trying to find a relationship is one good way to make sure He can give you the right one without interference. Neither me or my wife thought it was going to happen before it happened.
I had Bob and Larry bath toys as a baby that I loved. We have tons of pics of me with them as a baby. I also had a Bob and Larry cake for my first or second birthday
Yeah, him referring to her as "woman" referred to the protoevangelium in Genesis 3, and what he said about "his mother and his brother" was referring to the greater kingdom of God where the blood of the covenant would be thicker than the water of birth.
I literally enjoyed every second of this video and am so proud that I can relate to a lot of these! 10 years ago I wouldn’t have been able to say that! Thank you Jesus for changing me and loving me through it all 🙌🏽❤️
Fr I will lie in bed for a full 20 minutes ranting about how much homework I have to do and how that one girl pushed me into the hedge again and I GOT A FREAKING HEAT RASH, and God is probably just looking at me like: “Gurl be quiet I got other people tryna talk to me apart from you, y’know!!!”
7:41 "Then he asked her, “What’s the matter?” She answered, “This woman said to me, ‘Give up your son so we may eat him today, and tomorrow we’ll eat my son.’ So we cooked my son and ate him. The next day I said to her, ‘Give up your son so we may eat him,’ but she had hidden him.” 😭😭 2 Kings 6: 28-29
But Elisha was sitting in his house, and the elders were sitting with him. And the king sent a man ahead of him, but before the messenger came to him, he said to the elders, "Do you see how this son of a murderer has sent someone to take away my head? Look, when the messenger comes, shut the door, and hold him fast at the door. Is not the sound of his master's feet behind him?" - 2 Kings 6:32 “Some time later King Ben-hadad of Aram mustered his entire army; he marched against Samaria and laid siege to it.” This is that Ben-hadad who had been condemned to death by God; and Ahab had received the order to execute him. But he spared his life and sent him back in peace. Therefore the Arameans besieged the city and prolonged the siege for many days, because their army occupied the whole surrounding area, so that bread began to be more and more scarce, and famine ruled. And when [the citizens] did not find the usual sustenance and food, they fell on the corpses of the dead. For the Scripture relates that there were certain mothers who decided to kill their children to assuage their hunger. And after one of them had put her son to death, when her companion in crime hid her own son (in order to save him) and broke the contract, an argument rose between them, and they both went before the judge. And they began to expound their reasons before the king, that is, Jehoram, the son of Ahab. The king, seeing that that was a harsh trial for him, was taken over by a violent rage against Elisha. For he thought [the prophet] was the cause of his disaster. Therefore he said, “Yesterday he gave abundant goods to Aramean robbers, and today has given sufficient bread to his disciples, and they are not lacking food, but he has no care for the people of his city and abandons them in their need.” And he swore that on that day itself he would take revenge on Elisha for the blood of his people. But Jehoram had no right to accuse the prophet, but rather Ahab, his father, who had scorned the prophets. In fact, if he had been persuaded by their words and had killed Ben-hadad, that [king] would have never besieged Samaria and would have never thrown him into such calamities. From the symbolic point of view the atrocious famine which tortured the Samaritans for so many days and forced them to eat in such an abominable manner shows the lack of heavenly nourishment, which affected in those days all the nations of the earth. So the city of Samaria signifies the whole of humankind, and its famine represents the famine of all. But Elisha made it disappear through his prayer, as well as through the grace of Christ. The sick were fortified by his strength, and “those who were full hired themselves out for bread.” This means that the apostles, announcers [of the gospel], have transmitted to the Gentiles the knowledge of salvation, and it has flowed, as Isaiah predicted, like “the waters covering the sea.” In the same manner it had been decreed before God that the hungry should eat the crop of the foolish and that the thirsty should absorb his goods, as the friend of the righteous Job said. Indeed, as the Samaritans plundered the food that they had collected for the Arameans and the needs of their army and brought it into their army, so the church of the Gentiles took the holy books which were preserved in the Hebrew synagogues, and gave them for the benefit of their descendants. - "On the Second Book of Kings 6.24" - Ephrem The Syrian Read more commentaries at catenabible.com/com/5e1b69868bc66721fe4ef9d3
@@FERB241 was a customary response for many ancient peoples when horrific events happened. Even Job had a similar reaction when told the terrible news of his family. The high priest of Jerusalem had the same reaction to Jesus’s answer of which was considered blasphemy. Matthew 26:64-65
@@thatgoofygal Hi, the gospel is the good news that God loves us and wants to have a relationship with us. He sent his Son, Jesus, to die on the cross for our sins and to rise again from the dead. By trusting in Jesus, we can be forgiven of our sins and receive eternal life. “Believe in the Lord Jesus, and you will be saved” (Acts 16:31). God has already done all of the work. All you must do is receive, in faith, the salvation God offers (Ephesians 2:8-9). Fully trust in Jesus alone as the payment for your sins. Believe in Him, and you will not perish (John 3:16). God is offering you salvation as a gift. All you have to do is accept it. Jesus is the way of salvation (John 14:6).
It's really good to see things I can 100%relate to. 😂 Especially the tired prayer, I do that most times, the me thinking I'm the next Mary and reading the genealogies in the bible. Nope... I just skip, right past that every time. 😅

I laughed so hard at the last clip, cuz I literally just finished the first ten chaps of 1Chronicles when I woke up today. I used the audio option on my phone and followed along in my bible. It really helped me to not get brain cramp.

@@FinnGemwhat the heck?? Im Christian and this is so inappropriate to say to someone. You don’t threaten someone into the the word of God, that’s just wrong 🤦♀️
@@FinnRaptureReadyim a Christian but the first words u say to someone should never be "repent or you will burn". it's God's decision on where they go, not urs, don't tell someone where they're going, u dont know.
