Just a phenomenal song. I am trying to be grateful every day - for my loved ones, for you all, for the little things that are easy to let live in the background. We learned a bit of a lesson about noise level recording in this Brooklyn park, hah, but it was such a lovely day that we needed to be outside. Thanks to Josh, as usual, for elevating the performance in a way I couldn't have accomplished by myself!

I've never had the opportunity to listen to any Alicia Keys songs. So I have no comparison to her and this cover. But just let me say, I will never go seek out that version. Carson this is so awesome! I cannot imagine it would be possible to perform this any better. Yes, anyone would be blessed to have Josh back you up, but your talent is unmatched. So peaceful. Excellent cover. The more I come back to listen and learn the more I appreciate. This duo makes it a unique cover by adding layers. A little bass, a little picking, great singing at a lower range with a higher range harmony and spot on guitar work that I hope to emulate.

Funny how that good old Zoom H2n still holds. Even in windy weather it sounds great. Glad I got myself one too 🙂, though mine doesn't sound that good... maybe the problem is what/who it is recording 🙂
