Mimicking Beatle vocals is tricky. The usual mistake is to slightly overdo the accents making them sound cartoonish. This is probably the best effort I’ve heard that duplicates the affect without straying into cringe-ville. 95% of the audience would assume it’s the lads from Liverpool. Bravo!

The "John" in this video, Tyson Kelly currently plays with the "Bootleg Beatles" widely considered the most famous tribute band. He is not usually on the channel.

@@fshoapsYeah it's usually only Andrew, Neil and Brendan but Tyson and Neil are good friends and have known each other for years. I've seen the Bootleg Beatles 3 times in my home town of Liverpool they are great. First time I saw them it was Adam Hastings

a) The instrumentals and isolateds are still my favourite, but this turned out really well. b) Was waiting to see if Neil would replicate Paul's voice cracking on the second "was in vain" in the stereo mix. c) For a John song, I'm just realizing now that I hear Paul's voice as the melody for most of this.

Brent Hooton Pauls part was actually supposed to be the melody. If you listen to John’s home demo, he is singing Paul’s part on the released version.

Another amazing (and fun) feat from Ably House+1. It must be noted how awesome Beatle vocals are, with John and Paul switching up between lead and harmony. They do it so easily and casually that it's almost supernatural. Great job on the recreation, lads ;-)

On the final “was in vain,” Paul’s voice starts quaking and I think he actually goes flat (?) Anyways here I was waiting in anticipation for that little flub to be recreated by the masters of Beatles covers. Was so sad to not hear it 😔... my Beatles fandom has become full-blown Obsessive Compulsive during quarantine hahaha

Hahaha I knew people would be upset By the lack of crack on “vein” - honestly I was just holding on for dear life trying to get out a decent vocal that sounds beatle-esc in anyway, and I wasn’t gonna replicate anything that reduced the quality of the track. The vocals on this are more of a fun bonus, Paul gets to crack, he’s Paul!

That would be cool if we had Pauls isolated vocal. They probably sang it live into the same mic. Thanks! We did PS I Love You together, but because I played that wrong chord it went unreleased. It felt right to put the demo in the credits of this, it cuts off right before my ‘yeaa-aa-aa’ because I can do better haha
