This was phenomenal. They absolutely nailed the statue’s evil grin and the fear he gave. I’m glad that they’re also keeping it as brutal and bloody as the manhwa. Hearing Jin Woo’s inner dialogue at the end was crazy, his va absolutely crushed it.

It was so painful watching him getting brutalized like that, but the most painful thing was that cliffhanger 🫠

Jin-Woo's VA did a very good job. He has definitely set an expectation for me later in the series, when the glow up happens

I just realized that reading the manhwa didn't feel as gory as hearing Jinwoo's screams being brutally amputated 💀

In the Manhwa, it was these opening chapters that got me hooked. I’m so happy the anime made it as *BRUTAL* as it was reading. Really happy with A1’s team on this so far!

One thing i do like that wasnt in the manwha (from what i remember) was sung mentioning the hypocrisy of the guy saying he had a family. Everyone there had more than enough reason to deserve to live, and to say that was almost to tell sung that his life wasn't as valuable. Sung realizes that he lied to himself (in that moment) and realizes just how much he wanted to live. His VA killed it by showing how much anger he felt in that moment, and it was honestly so understandable.

It should be noted that the music is done by the same producer as Attack on Titan. Sometimes music can make or break a scene and i can already safely say the 2nd Phase with the singing statues was done significantly better here than in the Manhwa just from the theme and sync between what was happening on screen comparing to the song. We are in for a treat.

The atmosphere this episode was crazy. Haven’t had an anime like this in a minute. Hope this show keeps delivering, cause DAMN that was amazing.

I haven't read the manga/manhwa for this, so I was very happy to see how they portrayed the raid mechanics in this series. This place is very reminiscent of mmo raid mechanics, which are only ever obvious in hindsight. While you're learning them or trying to figure them out they can usually feel either convoluted or downright like moon logic. I enjoyed how this show puts you in the shoes of someone who'd have to figure out these things on the fly, while being physically inside such a raid. It's very interesting.

I think if they all had waited and let the Timer run out they would´ve "cleared" the boss, but to many people left and the Statues got to close, so only Sung cleared it a second before he would´ve passed on.

This episode was so well done, can't wait to see your reaction to this, I hope you guys pick up the Manwha again, the Art is top tier

When it comes to this double dungeon, the main dungeon was D-ranked, but a double dungeon can be any level equal or higher than the base rank of the main dungeon. Also, when going into the main dungeon, you can't tell ahead of time if there will be a double dungeon, so that door could have just been the boss room for the main dungeon.

I've read through this whole series and that cliffhanger still had me mad.

As a manhwa reader, this series is a masterpiece. They definitely did episode 2 justice.

This is anime of the winter, right here. This episode cooked while the characters themselves got cooked. It was a lot of Mortal Kombat "BRUTALITY"

I doblove that they aren't saying away for the violence and gore. It definitely is a major part of conveying the fear and the world, the world while having a fantasy/gamer feel is a belak and terror filled one with death. Like the president said that your life is online doing this job, so the fact that they leave in the violence is important to both the story and building the world

Ironically, I think that this entire thing was a test. We all know that the main character gets healed and a massive power up, and I think that this dungeon is the equivalent to the grenade scene from Captain America. He's smart and sacrificed himself to save the others, so he gets massive power as a "reward." He passed the "test" mentioned in the tablet.
