My favorite thing about attack on titan is the way it changes your prespective of things as the main character is uncovering the story, sort of like detective movies/books do. You are on the par with the main character, you can make theories or even guesses, as you slowly uncover the whole thing, your perspective for the whole thing changes to the core of the show, just like Eren, not knowing anything past the walls, you were occupied by your own beliefs and questions, but after the whole thing is known, you have no choice but to look at your past self, either fascinated by your foolishness, or being nostalgic about the times where you didn't have to make decisions.
What’s even better is that at a certain point, the main character begins to have more information than we have, and their motives shift dramatically from what we would expect them to do.
sounds like a general term of world building to me, and aot is one of the anime with great execution for it without destroying the past events, hence the foreshadowing or so whatever isayama did to build up all of that. I also liked the protagonist perspective, our knowledge were on par with him but as the story progresses, everything slowly becoming third view point, and that's where the audience had to guess the many possibilities in the anime.
agreed, I frequently think back to the times when it was only the fight to survive against titans and how far they've come to fighting shifters and humanity
This is too much perfect . The proper use of clips , the proper cuts , the proper transitions , the proper beat sync LOL ........ PERFECTION !!!! LOVED IT !!!
No matter how many people hate on aot, Aot is definitely an extremely well written anime. Rn I feel like I'm watching history unfold before me and something great is going to end soon :'( Tysm for making this beautiful edit. I will never forget the emotions this anime took me through
Agreed, the greatest things always have a lot of fans and a lot of haters 🤷♂️ but we’re witnessing history as one of the greatest stories ever comes to an end 🥲
@@soul8648 I don't know about that since I haven't read the manga but I'm pretty sure many simply hate it just because it's popular and they don't want it to surpass their favourite anime ( yes the people I know do this :
All of this. All of the heart ache, deaths, despair, tragedy, everything! All because; Armin: Hey Eren! There's this cool thing call the sea, I heard its a massive blanket of water covered in salt! One day, when we're free, I hope we can see it! Eren; Free? Armin; yeah? Freedom to explore the world! Eren; Freedom.....
Attack on Titan is truly the magnum opus of anime. Literally nothing comes close to the perfect level of pacing, the consistency, the writing, and the world that Hajime Isayama has masterfully created. I mean every single character is brilliantly thought-out and the psychological conflicts are matched only by one other show I’ve ever seen. I could talk about this show for all eternity it is amazing
The whole edit is fucking dope but 0:11 transition... God, I'm thanking you for creating the author of this edit and Isayama for making me cry. Thank you!
the thing attack on titan did well was give you your emotions. it built bonds to characters you liked and shredded it in seconds, it shredded friendships in the anime you liked, it hurt you and made you feel chills, it got your mind wandering and ill stay by it, a 10/10 anime.
This is the best edit I've every scene and basically shows Eren's character, If you've read the manga this is even more beautiful. A work of art. Thank you isayama.
sometimes simple edits are better. when you see tik tok edits with unnecessary transition effects, instead of making you admire.. it causes you to cringe instead.
This edit is already one of my favorite edits of Attack on Titan! The way you captured all the feelings since S1, damn. Not to mention the amazing transitions, especially at 0:40. Good job on this edit.
Mappa did their thing with this intro. I still get chills everytime I see that little flicker where it's older eren stone faced and it flickers to young eren smiling with naivety after the translucent knife he uses to kill those guys at the very beginning of the story. Like damn. There's so many layers to that!!!
This is a really good edit. It's so sad that the boy who only seeks freedom and did absolutely anything to get it, ended up in him sacrificing that very freedom so that his friends and loved ones and his people to have their freedom instead. I guess he did lose it all...
I think it didn't go exactly as he planned. He definitely didn't want Sasha to die, even Hange, he said that. And the final battle - it doesn't seem he was in complete control. Fans say that either Emir or Zeke was trying to kill his friends not Eren - he controlled all the colossal titans, but he didn't control titans on his body. Because Eren said he won't stop them if they want to stop him. By his plan it seems, it was just enough for them to get close in Marley and for marleyans to see devils killed the devil. But it turned out to be more complicated than this.
If I lose it all, slip and fall Will you laugh at me? If I lose it all, lose it all Ah-ah-ah, ah-ah If I lose it all, slip and fall I will never look away If I lose it all, lose it all, lose it all If I lose it all outside the wall Live to die another day I don't want anything, I'm just here to... Beware! Rumbling, Rumbling, it's coming! Rumbling, Rumbling! Coming for you! Rumbling, Rumbling, it's coming! Rumbling, Rumbling!
As once a wise weeb said : "When an actor in movies dies we can see him play in another movie but when an anime character dies we will never see his/her face again" Miss you freedom Ereh
It went from a kid just wanting to kill titans and wanting to see what was outside of the walls and trying to help humankind to him realizing how the world deceived him.
This one of the best anime’s to exist. There are more peak anime, but none like something like this. I bid farewell to the boy who never obtained freedom
I don't know what just happened. I've listened to the full song every day ever since its released on Spotify, but this. This edit still gave me the fucking chills. This clip that didn't even reached 1 min, made me feel nostalgia and really emotional due to the fact that you made me remember Eren's full journey in such a short video.
I'm sad :') That's the best edit I've seen !!! Great job Even before reading the rest of the manga after S3 I knew Eren would become a tragic character, he already was becoming one since the beginning. That's why he always has been my favorite character, because of his uncanny development
Wow, just wow. I am at a loss for words by how smooth the transition were and how clean this whole thing was. If this doesn't go viral within 5 days I will lose my mind.
I cried so hard when I found out eren never wanted any of this He forced himself to lose hope in everyone so he feels less pain when he leaves them and destroys everything
I've never once felt in any media like I was actually growing and learning with these characters. I grew up watching attack on titan but I also grew up with the characters themselves. I probably started watching at like... what 11? When it came out, 10 maybe? Now I'm 19, I've really never felt the way I have about any show that I do about this one it's surreal to me. I'm just happy I got to experience what I believe to be the best episodic series of all time.
Damm the journey of Eren ...so many memories,feelings-prefectly shown through this song,he isn't backing down AT ALL What an epic video to an epic story!
@@GaionSputro explain the joke ... And what are you saying relax for? If you see that as aggressive you must have mental breakdowns when someone asks you a question in school
There’s something about this particular section in repeat throughout the whole song that I loved more than the rest. It’s not the lyrics, that’s the bonus, it’s the instruments. Something about it flows so well with the tone of the final season.
Lyrics: "If ah lose it all, Slip and Fall Will you laugh at me?.. If ah lose it all, lose it all, aahhhhhhh.. IF AH LOSE IT ALL, SLIP AND FALL I WILL NEVER LOOK AWAY, IF AH LOSE IT ALL LOSE IT ALL LOSE IT ALL, IF AH LOSE IT ALL OUTSIDE THE WALL LIVE TO DIE ANOTHER DAY, I DON'T ANYTHING I'M JUST HERE TO... BEWAAAAAAAAAAARE (Rumbling rumbling its coming rumbling rumbling coming for you rumbling its coming rumbling rumbling)"
IMO this is probably one of the best anime openings ever, the tone shift between sadness and anger embodies the ending of the series and it’s just phenomenal
bro ima be so sad when the final season for attack on titan will end I feel like this anime will be remembered for a long time thats just how i feel because this anime taught me so many things and the plot was far better then any anime i ever seen im sad we're only gonna have it for a limited time but it will stay here forever
For me even if the ending wasnt on par with the vision isayama may have hoped or what it could of been. To me AOT would be peak fiction writing in terms of its writing up to certain parts (ending could of been fleshed out more but wasnt too horrible imo) The journey iv been on since the anime only had a s1, waiting for a s2 then waiting for manga chapters was nostalgic n amazing. Aot is probably the only anime where I enjoyed every manga chapter/episode and WANTED TO WAIT AND KEEP UP TO DATE with its stuff. Nowdays i just read the manga and or wait til theres enough episodes. Aot has a special place in my heart growing up with it being 18
in my opinion the ending is goddamn genius at least assuming the epilogue is canon because if it is then either the entire thing is them simply putting themselves into the movie they're watching or reincarnation is afoot and Eren gets a chance to be with Mikasa and Armin
@@renkun5194 no i agree but it had the feeling of being incomplete and feeling rushed. A lot of world lore had simply been either too shallow in terms of writing and or thrown out the window. If they explained and take more time to flesh out the details of many things which i dont want to spoil. It would be easily a 8/10 ending. For me it was a 6/10 though that does not really matter for me. It was a good ending and i enjoyed it :)
This anime had such a huge impact on my life and is why I really started to chase freedom and realize what’s in front of me. And the music is fucking awesome
Thanks for the recommendation youtube! I was sitting here.. not expecting much to be honest I started watching it, felt the quite vibe with his smooth voice and the kinda depressing and kinda sad scenes. But god damn, when the bass and the refrain started... i just got such a big smile in my face and goosebumbs .. strong scene. Especially with the rumbling scenes. Good and short video sir or madam
