This reminds me of my childhood and loving fairytales. Hercules was the only one I never cared much for, but I love the video and this version of the song.
Beautiful and amazing and gorgeous and wonderful masterpiece love the song if I never knew you from the movie Pocahontas I love everything Disney excellent music every Disney film is amazing it’s a wonderful masterpiece I imagine dancing with someone special like a beautiful and handsome prince
I agree! Pocahontas isn’t my favorite but definitely in my top 3. Pocahontas and John Smith have the most beautiful love Disney ever created, and I’m so sad we never got Pocahontas Smith
While I'm not particularly fond of Pocahontas(mainly for its lousy ending), I love this song and this video!!! :) Very well done. :) You captured Disney's 2 Golden Age in wove them beautifully into this timeless love song. :)
Nice video. It was realy sweet. This is one of my all-time favorite Disney songs. I like the selection of clips you used. Besides all the "princess" movies. Snow White, Cinderella, Sleeping Beauty, The Little Mermaid, Beauty and the Beast, and oboulsly Pocahontas, the movie that this song is from. I liked that you also put in clips from Hunchback of Notre Dame, Aladin, Hurcules, Mulan, Lady and the Tramp and The Lion King.
I liked it.Nice how you used movies from the 2 "Golden Ages" of Disney. But the random clips of Lion King and Lady and the Tramp in there? They were cute, but a little out of place.
I don't think so. It's a gorgeous song, but it talks about a love ending because of outside forces tearing it apart. They truly loved each other, but in the end, it wasn't enough to overcome the obstacles between them. They will never be together again. Probably not the message you want to convey.
Um the entire message of the song was their love was infinite and undying even in death. Instead of John Smith’s last words to her being a simple “I love you” he poured his heart and soul out to how much he loves her, that he’s embraced his fate, he doesn’t want to die but he’d rather die loving her than live his entire life never knowing her. Plus he had the choice to let her father be killed, but when she saved his life he hadn’t changed his mind about dying, he was going to protect her no matter what. And in the end when she can’t leave, he tried saying he wasn’t leaving her, wanting to spend his last days with her knowing his wound would kill him. The ONLY reason he let go was because she asked him to go back and he didn’t want to cause her to be sad. She valued his life above being with him and when she said “Noo, you have to go back” that was secretly implying she couldn’t watch him die, if she went with him she knew there was a high risk he’d get worse before even arriving in London. What would’ve happened if that happened and there was absolutely nothing she could do except just cherish their remaining time together? Then she’d be completely heartbroken and all alone in a strange land with no way home for who knew how long. She couldn’t watch him die but she couldn’t tell him either in fear he wouldn’t understand and try to convince her “I won’t die. Please trust me” Anyways the point is yes unfortunately when she said she couldn’t come and asked him to go back, they both knew they would probably never see each other ever again. But that doesn’t mean they don’t love each other anymore, if anything the fact they loved each other so much they let each other go puts their love on a completely higher level than almost any other Disney couple, because no one else was forced apart (not counting Quasi’s feelings for Esmerelda) I don’t count Beast freeing Belle because she came back in like 2 hours, or Flynn dying to free Rapunzel, knowing without her hair he’d die, because ultimately they got another chance to be with the women they loved. Pocahontas unfortunately was made a bit more realistic because of it being very loosely based on a real woman, but the only magic used was to get around the language barrier issue. I mean they could’ve even made where John Smith isn’t mortally wounded, but instead chose to leave, that he and Pocahontas maybe kinda had feelings but never got serious. The entire reason he fell in love with her is because of how much she helped him become a better person and value life and being different isn’t wrong. If the reason he fell for her was based on her looks he wouldn’t have had such a hard time letting go of her. Think about Ariel wishing more than anything to be with Eric. She gave up her entire life for someone she had a huge crush on and hardly knew, and her original desire to learn about the human world very quickly fizzled out when she became a queen and mother. This is my personal opinion, but Pocahontas and John Smith more than any other couple deserved their happily ever after because of all the trials they had to endure, showing their peoples they loved each other whether they liked it or not. I mean Pocahontas was betrothed to someone she knew she’d never be truly happy with, but the reason she fell for John Smith was because he was unlike anything she could’ve ever imagined or seen, and he embraced her as a Native American princess and a free spirit, even ready to give up his career just to be with her forever.
