I screenprinted for 2 years a few years back, looking to get back into so that i can slow down, enjoy life, work on retiring. When you mentioned doing copyrighted artworks i actually had to relate to that. A lot of people only go for designer stuff and of course those who want to act like they "have money" will go for it but you as an artist/business are not getting anything out of it just money. I like to go for my own stuff so people can know about me. What are they seeing from me if all i make is designs about Gucci and LV? Nothing because i am not using anything original just copying everything i see. That's why i like to sit down and create my own stuff.

There's a Flip side to those storys too , when i was younger I was working at a screen printing shop, getting a check everyweek, I would answer the phone there and get orders.. meet them around the corner on my 15 min break and would pick up orders 3-6 orders a week... I would come home on a sat wake up tired and discombobulated and see and be surprise to see like 4 additional checks every Saturday on my heat press that I Pickup'd and those where the most highlighted moments of my life to have that at a very young age...now things are the opposite and very hard to come by...At that time the Boss would be getting mad at me cause I was picking up more money then him every end of the week doing a lot less....and cause I was young I was still going out and partying playing in bands ect ect..How ever you can burn yourself out in the long run if you dont take it easy...

@@myloprints Sorry taking photos of the printed shirts for your website type stuff. Currently I have done a few of blanks and then use photoshop to add the words to the shirts, but they don't always show how the ink will look when on the fabric. Doing photos of more then the shirt on a white background to help you stand out would be the idea :)
You want to ask if the order is going to be a repeat order? if it's not ,you may in fact want to think differently about giving them any discounts or homie hookups...Your in business to make profit not hook people up with the best possible shirts, cause that's what they are at the end of the day...the industry is spending NASA automation money to print on a 5 dollar T-shirt, that alone is very Suspicious... If everyone had to print on manuals your business would sky rocket...
Buyers Market & Troubleshooting business: with that said your starting a basic shop its going to cost your Thousands of dollars Comapre to a website business that cost $0 , at the end of the day customer thinkgs all you do is put ink in a screen and print..they dont see the problems problematics that go on... from art to att films to burnign screens, emulsion not working, screens ripping, dead bugs in the ink, Flash to much, Flash to little, Shirts Scoorching, Shirts that where order defectts, shirts that where order came in worng size, not having stock in those shirts, customers wanting shirts that you cant get or cant find even on the internet.. Sqweege breaking, not having enough ink, Not having energy, Customers small orders that always become a problem where the larger ones never hav any issues...lol the list can go on but who has the time right..
