If I Started A Video Production Company NOW, I'd do so many things differently... Of course, we all work on trial and error and the tips and tricks you pick up as a videographer along this journey can really shape your business.
If you ever find yourself feeling like you're not quite achieving what you want in your videography business or you're not growing at the rate you want, it's going to be down to one of 3 things

I learnt this TLC method about 1 year into starting my video production company and I've been adapting it ever since. By understanding the strategies we use to grow our production company, I hope that you guys can also implement a similar approach and help you either start your video production company or scale your existing videography business.

1000% agree about using events for networking / lead generation. To take Ross's advice on that a level up, identify a popular person at the event, especially if it is a reoccurring event, and provide that person with massive value. They will send many people from the group / event to you. If you serve those people well, you will own that local market. Going forward, you will be the go-to person for that group for video. One more bonus tip: try to pick a group that is related to your niche group that isn't directly related to marketing. That way you won't have to contend with much competition in the group. The last place I want to go to offer my video / marketing services are at video / marketing groups and events. Too much competition.

Hi Mate, thanks for your honesty. This is exactly how I handled calls myself, the initial rejection is hard to deal with but in a short space of time you will grow the confidence you need to pick up the phone and make sales calls to potential clients.

Hey Ross, I've just started my video production company. I've sent a few emails to some local clients near me, But with the email automation system and campaigns how do I know that they will stand out from the crowd and not just have people scroll by on apps like Facebook, Instagram, LinkedIn Etc? Also how do you deal with clients that are very unsure about using your services, Do I follow up to them at a later date? Since I'm just starting out. I've watched the video that you did with Josh and I'm starting charging £150 for a video and if they don't like it they simply don't have to pay. Am I doing the right thing?
