O H Depth of field camera module for art purposes, a pressure sensitive pen that is only otherwise seen on rather expensive Wacom tablets, true depth 4K at a cheaper price than the MacBook Pro (along with 4K video editing and taking), the MacBook Pro 13 inch starts off $300 above the IPad and even when adjusted for the amount t of memory their price points match up, A12Z bionic chip that allows to run faster than other tablets on the market (MKBHD for example tested this), 120Hz display, and a high-not-low-reflection screen. Comparatively, the MacBook Pro 13 inch only has a leg up on it by having a keyboard, some extra apps, and uh... yeah, price to performance wise that’s about it.

I bought and sold tablets including two ipads many times. When you don’t have one you feel you need one, when you have one you know you don’t need it whatsoever. It is a very niche product, and Apple does not want you to know it, because it has to make sales.

I used to wonder what the point of a tablet was when you had both a phone and a laptop, then I decided to buy an iPad last year (mostly for drawing), and it was a game changer. Used it so much, not only for drawing, but for watching videos, reading, studying… It was almost a daily driver and I started touching my PC less except for work. Also not everyone’s laptop is a Mac, so there’s that too I guess 🤷🏻‍♀️

i would think digital artists would use an actual tablet made for digital design and animation and not an iPad that you have to pay extra for the pen.

Yeah, 2k resolution, pencil have 8192 pressure, it’s a great drawing tablet, better than Wacom except for price and Adobe and its softwares doesn’t support iPad that well, but we got other softwares to use. I got a 12.9 iPad Pro, worth it for me.

Some people use the iPad for completing their work with apps such as powerpoint, word, and so on. the main reason to this is primarily because phones are smaller, and produce more heat. Some people can't seem to see what is written on display on smaller screens, which is also a good reason why the iPad came out. I am not an advertiser, but I just say what a huge advantage I got. Health wise, I would consider getting it for use to reduce chances of getting prone to epillepsy and excess eye strain. A closer look onto a screen giving out artificial light is bad for one's health compared to a bigger screen. maintaining enough distance from the screen should be good enough to not risk getting epillepsy/seizures (based on my research and life experience).
