Truth, bass is only important in bands that actually use it. Maiden did it correctly, and he only used finger plucking which is a huge thumbs up. A lot of 90's punk also made use of the sound bass can produce and turned it into the actual focus of the rhythm. But most people don't understand bass.

Well, the song itself (The Trooper) is about the Crimean War, and the cavalry charges on horseback. So...the galloping kinda makes sense. :) I'm an old school metal head, listening to Maiden since the 80s. Love your rendition of it! UP THE IRONS!

Really fun to watch you put this together. Dating myself here but it’s so cool seeing all the tools you all have for mixing. My friends and I would record on mini disk and adjust the different layers through an actual board to sample songs / record. This highlights my issue with a lot of modern metal: bass guitar is obsolete. Steve Harris’ bass drives Iron Maiden as much as the rhythm guitar. With extended range guitars and tons of low end dialed in, bass just disappears. Anyhow, this was a fun video and your talent is very apparent. New subscriber.
