@@mikaelekeni Exactly, it happens in almost every one of his fights. He pokes his opponent multiple times in the eye, gets a couple warnings and proceeds to get the upper hand. Reyes cooked him whilst suffering some vicious eye pokes, and yet still they robbed him of the win. Job abuses steroids as well, there's no fucking way he could ever be goat.
What a casual you are. He beat Gane a year ago and was scheduled to fight Stipe till he got hurt. Most people have no problem with the HW champ fighting twice a year. Meanwhile Islam hasn't fought anyone in his weight class since 2022 🤦
@@HoniTheCircleMaker13 volk went up to LW. Therefore Islam was defending his belt from someone in his weight class. Jon isn’t defending his belt from the interim champ.
Dodging to fight the interim champion speaks volumes in my eyes, if Jones that confident he should fight tom winner of that fight will become the best no it's or buts.
It’s cool to support your man. But clearly you don’t understand how many former champions Bones has disposed of. He beat the number one ranked heavyweight in less than two minutes. I like Tom- he moves forward toward Jones and he will be murked!!!
Tom beats Jones easily. Jon almost exclusively fought middleweights that moved up, small light heavyweights, and guys outside of their prime. Plus Jon is a medium-sized heavyweight with a lot of body fat. Tom is just too fast and strong. He's a true natural heavyweight. I think Tom handles him easily on the feet or on the ground.
@@Artemi03 Gane is a kickboxer. He doesn't even know how to wrestle. Jones isn't going to be able to just dive in for a single leg in the first 20 seconds and get a free choke from somebody that won't even try to fight his hands. He would be forced to stand with Tom, and I think Tom knocks Jon out cold on the feet.
@@andyhoughtaling6319 Ganes isn’t a wrestler but his Jiu Jitsu is still quite sneaky. People were still doubting Jon about that fight just as you are doubting him now. I’m not saying Jon would smoke Tom, but if you think he’d cake walk Jon then you simply don’t know the real Jon Jones. Jon’s IQ is far beyond many’s along with being a pyscho path. Jon’s wrestling, Jiu Jitsu, and IQ are much superior to Toms. Jon’s ability to keep the tempo of the fight and control the center with his reach is enough for Tom to have to be careful with pushing inside
@@Artemi03 If Gane had even the slightest clue what to do on the ground, he wouldn't have sat there for 27 seconds doing literally nothing with both hands. He didn't even attempt to fight Jon's hands or arms in any way for 27 seconds. There's nothing impressive about choking out a kickboxer that doesn't even know the basics of how to defend a choke. It's exactly what we expected to happen. Even with Gane's trash grappling, Gane was still able to stand up when Jon took him down. Imagine if that was Tom. Jon probably wouldn't have even gotten the takedown in the first place, but he definitely isn't keeping Tom down. Tom is walking around at like 280 pounds of solid muscle. Jon is like 245, and he's like 30-35% body fat. Think about how much success Gustafsson, Santos, Cormier, and Reyes had against Jon on the feet. Tom is arguably faster and a better boxer than all 4 of those guys, and he's 280 pounds. I have almost zero doubt that Tom would completely dominate Jon in every aspect of fighting, and it wouldn't even be difficult for him.
@@andyhoughtaling6319 I’m not sure what your background is in Jiu Jitsu or grappling is, but to say Gane is outright trash on the ground is ignorant, he’s definitely not amazing on the ground but he isn’t terrible. Gane was getting his leg hooked almost the whole time while Jon had his back, while also getting one of his arms grabbed. Gane tried cutting the angle and was finally about to partially get up to his feet but Jon sinked his leg in again fast and restricting movement once again. Jon once on the ground had a full mounted choke that was very close at first, and as Jon went to let up and reposition it Gane took that second to try and move off the cage and that’s when Jon caught him. Obviously it wasn’t perfect grappling on Ganes behalf but to say he didn’t do anything and trash on the ground is stupid to say, especially as I broke down just about everything for you lol. It’s as simple as this, Jon’s grappling is far beyond many’s, and always will be. Jon’s weight has nothing to do with this, having 245 on your back is still a massive carry in the octagon. You’re really underestimating IQ my friend, and how important it is. You’re the first person I’ve seen that thinks Tom would smoke Jon, everyone believes he’ll pose threats to Jon, even other UFC goats, but I haven’t seen someone that straight up thinks he’ll dog walk him lmao
@@MrDayday4641 He's clearly ducking him. He'd rather fight a 41 year old man who lost his last fight and hasn't fought since. It was over three years ago.
@@TeuvoSeppo I wish jon would defend his belt against the interim champ, instead of an old man who lost his last fight, years ago, yeah ... But hey, that'd how goats are, apparently 💪🏻 👍🏼 Prime jon would have fought tom and prob won. Those times are looooong ago... he knows...
@@mattbrooks90he would have won using roids, eye poking, hitting the back of the head and illegal knee kicks the truths is he should have been banned from the UFC a long time ago with all the shit he did inside and outside the ring
Stipe would gain huge points if he said im not fighting jon if theres an interim champ. Have stipe fight tom for undisputed before stipe vs jones for undisputed
Lmao wrong response and Tom beats jones every day and he knows it, hence why he’s currently making every excuse not to fight him including fighting Alex 😂
Honestly i think Aspinall just sees jones as the biggest challenge he can face, and jones should take that as a compliment. would be a good fight .100% wouldnt be one sided
Jones has never had a really good opponent, it would be the fight of the year, no matter the outcome. Jones has never fought anyone like Aspinall and Aspinall has never fought anyone like Jones. Jones beat both Rampage and DC after their respective primes.
@@minartsonyou’re out of your mind. Jones has beaten nothing but champions and contenders for 13+ years. Aspinall is the underdog here, even with an aging Jones coming off of a bad injury.
context for anyone that doesn’t know: the video of Jon wasn’t directed towards Tom. It’s 2 year old clip of Jon responding to Tyson Fury saying that he could beat Jon in a fight with no rules… Hate these people that fabricate videos trying to get clicks.
Its actually incredible that, for 10 years, ppl say Jon is ducking everytime there’s a new up n comer, look at Jon’s resume, what does Tom do that Jon hasnt seen or dealt with?
Yea I think Tom has his hands full. He has the superior boxing and submissions, but Jon’s oblique kicks to the knees I feel will play a major role and I don’t think Tom will be able to stop jones taking him down even though he does have very good grappling
Toms hand speed is scary for John. John will out wrestle him but Tom is faster and stronger. John is at the “ Anderson Silva Stage “ of his career and Tom Aspinall is like Chris Weidman for him now.
Jones could’ve been the best to ever to it had he stayed clean and out of trouble. I’ve never been a fan, especially with his out of octagon behavior, but cannot l lie… I love seeing his fights and I get goosebumps every time he walks out. He’s incredibly talented.
One of the bad things with the ufc if stuff like than. Completely ignoring the purpose of the alternate championship belt by rebooking aspinal and put alternate belt on the line.
At 39 I'm not buying it. I thought Liddell and so many other legends couldn't get beat when they did. Age happens. It's badder than any man on the planet
Y’all comments have never watched MMA… Jon Jones, isn’t your typical legend you know.. you think he been off goofing around? No. Tom is really good, but knowledge, comes into a big part, look at how many people said they knew Jon Jones and lost?
Bro lost 3-4 times to USADA, had to hide under the octagon to duck the tester, and go sent to the hospital by bum Reyes and bum Gustafsson WHILE ON ROIDS 🤣
@@rl2862 I said he's running, not that he's scared. And he *is* running. He knows he'll lose to top, active heavyweights who have any takedown defence/ground game whatsoever. I've been watching MMA since 2004 and likely know a hell of a lot more about it than you. If you can't see that Jones is doing everything in his power to avoid fighting the likes of Tom, then you're either a total moron or a Jones nuthugger.
No matter who you think would win, we can all agree it would be an awesome matchup. And for me personally, Jones ducking him makes me want to see Tom win
Tyson Fury response. Not Aspinall. Time catches up with everyone. But…if the fight goes to the ground….its hard to go against Jones. Dudes been wrestling his whole life. It be a good matchup.
How soon yall forget.. I hope Jones reminds y’all why he’ll go down as the best ever. Starting to think y’all want Tom to win for your own egos 🌚 The disrespect is crazy.
Aspinall definitely brings something different to Jon. Tom is much heavier, bigger, and can Wrestle and Box well. But he’s young and fresh as he said and Jon is probably avoiding that fight mainly because of that and if he loses it can damage his reputation, legacy and career. I wouldn’t dodge it, but I’d make it known why I’d refuse it. And then maybe accept the fight and fight him.
Jon is probably the best there’s ever been but I don’t think he’s ever dealt with somebody with a hand speed of Tom so I’m very interested in the fight
As an 80 year old Korean war veteran, golden gloves champion, sparring partner of Sonny Listurn, Mike Tyson and Deontay Wilder, you're all casuals. Clearly the winner here is Jones' bf, lumberjack look suits him.
Jon, he is going to beat you up. He's tougher, much more well-rounded, emotionally balanced, and is on a tear. Why won't you just fight him if you're acting so sarcastic? Fight him.
Tom is going to get pieced up. Look at the history of fighters Jon had beaten, Jon destroys guys at range but he’s also an incredible wrestler. DC couldn’t beat him utilizing wrestling, Loyoto couldn’t beat him on the feet with his quick movements in and out of range, Alexander couldn’t beat him with his boxing and wrestling and they are about the same height. Win or lose it only benefits Tom.
I don't even consider Jones a fighter. I consider him retired and would have losses of it weren't for eye pokes. Jones breaks all rules as they aren't enforced to the degree of what he gets away with.
@@Steven-jh3wh yeah agree with that, not so sure it will be a quicker fight tho. With Aspinall having better grappling I think Jones will favour the clinch work over going to the ground
@@brutallyhonestmma Aspinall has never been past Round 2, so I think he’ll start to struggle in the later rounds, I can’t wait to see it. I’ll be glad when the hype train is derailed once and for all.
