This kinda hurts a little, Prince is amazing and this is his best song, at least the one that means the most to me.... But plowing through that...... it's amazing how perfectly you brought When Doves Cry to Motorhead. May Lemmy RIP.

Dez Dickerson, who was lead guitarist in Prince's band prior to the "Revolution" configuration, called Prince's sound in the 1999 era "Punk Funk". Dez really liked metal.

Craziness but I dig it. When Doves Cry doesn't have a bass and you brought one right to the front. Excellent. Prince was one of those rare guys that had all of the talent but only made music for what they liked. If Prince could have stepped back and made his music more accessible to the general public he would have been an even bigger star.

Man, I say this a lot, but I think this is my favorite Motorhead style song of yours yet! That bass fuzz is awesome, and the lyrics go perfectly for a classic metal power anthem, which the melodies and chorus especially are beautiful. The contrast with the huge production, heaviness, and melody kind of reminds me of the 80's Canadian metal band Sword and their album Metalized (Not to be confused with The Sword). I'd love to hear these Motorhead style songs compiled into an album! 🤘

Holy shit man! What a feat! My band opened for Motörhead back in the early 80’s in San Francisco when they just came on the scene. They stole the show of course and took off from there. But you just copied “When Doves Cry” in their style?! That’s fucking crazy man! You are unbelievably talented my friend. Wow.
