I see a lot of comments of why we have to always be represented in this way but from watching the movie for my own perspective it was a great movie. A lot of tears, laughs, and life lessons. Definitely gems was being dropped in the movie. I know for me I definitely saw myself in a few characters and it made me feel like when I look at Issa Rae show “Insecure” real life things that happen and you have your closest people to be there and to help you get through no matter what. Great job Tamara (writing the movie) and Megan (directing movie) you’ll did a great job and it was nice to see unfamiliar actors that was getting their chance to shine, YOU’LL DID A GREAT JOB👏🏾👏🏾👏🏾
YES AND THANK U FOR THE POSITIVE COMMENT.....I ENJOYED IT MYSELF. I KNOW PEOPLE IS ENTITLED OF THEIR OWN OPINION BUT WE AS BLACK PEOPLE NEED TO DO BETTER WITH THE UPLIFTING AND BEING SUPPORTIVE.
@@tlovemcgee Yes!! I feel the same way I believe this is Tamara and Megan first time writing and directing their own film that took a lot of pull to make happen, making you’re own movie is not easy or cheap so I’m proud of them!👏🏾👏🏾👏🏾
I agree with the other comment, pray for those who hurt you. Also, try to be compassionate and put yourself in their position - you never know what people have been through along life's journey to make them do the (sometimes quite terrible) things they do.
I’m sorry, I really don’t want to be that person but why we can’t have a movie about black women that’s just living life happily. They always gotta go through some type of struggle or heart ache 🙄 it’s annoying
Life is not all peaches and cream. I think showcasing the struggles we endure is realistic? But I'll admit, this movie looks extremely depressing, so, I'll pass on it and watch a Black comedy.
I hear you but...what is "peaches and cream" but a temporary dish. My brightest moments were in life's blessings and coming out of my most darkest moments into the brightness of my more defined character. We are the most amazing people on this planet when we are evidence of survival as well as accomplishments that stagger the minds of our lessors and force them to theft to imitate our gifted shine while falling short of understanding the source of our vigilance. I'll see it as this is a story I can identify with. Unless the "peaches and cream" is what is preferred I have nothing to say against it as it is a matter of taste. However, we are telling some portion of our story that will shed light instead of judgement and shame leaving no room for redemption.
Why do we have to continue to be seen as this group of women/ friends with constant struggle , unhappiness, failed relationships after another, and bad habits???
You need stop seeing the negative of struggling of black women in the movie and see how they overcome there struggle. I think that the message they are trying to promote. There is still a lot people struggling emotionally black or white it's not matter. And maybe the massage in the movie can help.
“I’ve put family before my dream, ...” “How do you forgive someone? How do you stop being so angry?” “One day your going have to take a leap and trust that someone is willing to catch you!” Bruh, I can relate so much just from the trailer. Imagine watching the full movie. Def going to a lot of life lessons
@@shonter4059 ok well Kerry Washington was in this trailer for a brief moment who also was in little fireflies everywhere so I assumed Shiela k was talking about her.
Greet movie. I enjoyed. Life is not a bed of roses We all go through trials and tribulations on life Eventually, God aligns you with somebody who needs your encouragement.
Though I didn’t like the several struggle scenes, I’ll be watching. I love Meagan Good and loved the message in A Girl Like Grace. Looking forward to seeing her work behind the camera. The cast looks great. Plus I saw ole girl from Born Again Virgin, Niles Fitch, Pearl from Little Fires Everywhere and McKinley Freeman aka Derek Roman from Hit the Floor.
I had enough of the sad depressing look get enough of that with Tyler movies lol the last 2 we all watched was depressing ass Acrimony and Fall from Grace i want another funny outgoing Girls Trip. Just wanna say i love you black Queens and if any of you are going through something know you have the strength to get thru it and get to the light thru the darkness there is no test without testimony so smile while you're going through it knowing you will win the war and it will all feel more satisfying knowing you made it.❤
I throughly enjoyed this movie it’s a great representation of black women all shades and hair types. The story/plot was meaningful it’s realistic and mirrors life. I don’t want to be lied to with a representation of life that’s inaccurate. 5/5 stars for me.
Watched and enjoyed this film, i feel like it needs a sequel though. There is still a lot to unpack e.g. Mekia Cox’s character and her co worker, the choreographer’s tour etc
❤️🤗 I'm so glad BLack People {Especially BLack Women} are FINALLY getting the chance to show who we are & addressing the Struggles we are constantly facing... For far too long we have mostly seen the stereotypical portrayals that put us in a negative light. Meagan Good is an Extraordinary Actress. I am definitely looking forward to seeing this... 🤗❤️
Ms. Good I've been waiting for you to show everyone what you got & I'm thinking this is just the beginning for you. A new beginning to something Greater than Ever before! Good Luck, but I bet you're Good!! XOXOXO 💜 💜
I stopped with the sob stories 10 years ago and started looking at God's blessing in my life. When I finally focused on studying my Bible and Jesus, I realized, life was not about relationships and drama with people. It's about a relationship with Jesus. I had a dream that I was getting married. I was so happy and excited. Not long after the dream, I met a nice guy, but it didn't work out. I was devastated. But God showed me later that the dream was not about marrying a man, it was about marrying Christ. God wanted a relationship with me. He wanted me to follow him. Ever since then, Christ gave me and showed me more than what I dreamed of. Then he told me that it's just the beginning. If I seek God, in due time all things will be added to your life. Jesus is the way ladies. John 14:6
What a revelation! The flesh want what the flesh want, and spirit want and the spirit want! The more you seek the face of God the better our lives will be and what we need He will add that to it! Your are on the right track. God bless!!
It looks promising, are they going going to dig into the dynamics of friendships and relationships? Will they peel back the layers of addiction to uncover the trauma that caused it?
Why we have to always be going through a struggle but some of these issues need to be addressed this is all real life things that go on in people's lives
Lots of truths in this trailer. Sadly because it’s a Black movie with a low budget, it may not get the recognition and push for it to be seen at it’s full potential.
Seems cool, but I’m not really into these type of films. I did love Fall from grace. That was like a thriller and I love those lifetime suspense types. I loved Megan in the movie where they bought the home but the man who they bought it from was still living there. Amazing! I’ll probably watch this to see her and may like it even if it’s not a thriller. 😊
