Now compare that situation with Lewandowski, who is one of the legends of the game, is a commercial asset, is in twilight of his career and knew that Barca’s contract will be his last big contract in European football, his 32m salary doesn’t look that big of a salary when you consider all these factors. Good Players or legends whose careers are nearing an end would always demand a better salary than young players because they know that their career might be coming to an end. So, they would always demand more than young players and that’s why I compared his situation with Jude who is just a 20yo and this is his first big contract at Real Madrid but still there isn’t much difference between the wages of 2 players when you consider all the factors. You are saying who will pay Lewa 30m gross except Saudi? Bayern were literally paying him 24-25m gross and that was 2 years ago (players salary increase every year according to the terms of contract) and that’s Bayern who do not pay hefty wages to its players like Barca, Man Utd and Real Madrid.
