Red eyes fusion prevents you from special summoning on the same turn so unless you wanna waste a turn for 1 monster that can just be clapped by droplet or dark ruler or a kaiju or any non targeting removal them it's kind of a waste. It'd be stronger to set up your board and then maybe have this as a backup option

@@Novakun Dude just know to special summon him through fusion summon using Fusion spells cards and Red eyes fusion, -Cyber-stein "Hello there" -Predaplant monsters -Future fusion spell card -The eye of timaeus spell card -Necro fusion -Branded fusion -Super poly -polymerization -Sent him to from extra deck to the GY and special summon him from the GY -And many other card effects that can easily special summon him...

@@Novakun It's just the option dude, depends on in What archetype he's in, In branded despian engine you won't bring Red Eyes fusion and otherwise, And some combos only works well with a specific card that relates with the deck for concistency, For DM deck alone brings Secrets of Dark magic/The eye of timaeus is better than using Red eyes fusion... Those are just the options you don't need to bring all of those cards in a deck

@@akhenatengames Yeah but in the places you'd see branded despia(ranked or competitive events) I don't think anyone would choose to play red eyes in that environment. In casual play sure you could see this match up but the guy bringing branded despia to a casual match is an ass

He does mesh well with dm tho, and I honestly don't know why eternal soul doesn't affect blue eyes, dm and also red eyes to boost the deck

Agreed, to be fair all the og character archetypes are functional but not amazing. Blue eyes jet dragon is a pretty good recent addition

exactly I know it kinda flopped a little in the tcg but besides it not bouncing every turn, Red is just better being a negate, a pop 2, burn damage, untargetable and cannot be destroyed by card effects. Oh and of course every time it negates it gains 1000atk so beating over it can be hard without like accesscode

@@Novakun The difference is you can out Dragoon with send to graves (aka Zeus and Dingirsu), Droplet, Dark Ruler, Accesscode, etc. And once he's dead he's virtually impossible to revive consistently. Even if DPE gets hit with Droplet he just comes back. You've just stopped him for one turn. That's the difference, DPE is a persistent threat that builds advantage, Dragoon is stronger on field but negs you in card advantage and once he's outed he's a non issue.

@@Capta1nTD Most people will get rid of dpe without destroying it(bouncing it, banishing it) So it being destroyed after being hit w droplet is unlikely Dragoon is an S tier card with an F package While DPE is an A tier card with an A tier package

@@ATM_Elly This is assuming they have those in their kit. Not every deck can bounce or banish. Prank Kids was a meta relevant deck for a long while and it can't do either. You either need to kaiju DPE or make some kind of graveyard negation otherwise he keeps coming back. DPE's engine was definitely better than Dragoon's but his biggest strength was his consistent ability to disrupt and build advantage. Once again Dragoon has to discard for every negate. Dragoon loses card advantage, DPE builds it. And if Dragoon gets attacked over he's dead for good, if DPE gets attacked over he just comes back next turn. Your deck NEEDS an out to consistently deal with DPE. Meanwhile all you have to do with Dragoon is swing into it with Accesscode. And every deck can make Accesscode.

Since youtube comments are acting up and im unable to edit my initial comment. Im gonna comment on my own comment and say that i ended up dismanting my ur cards too many times while trying to make better and more fun decks. Now i am only able to create 2 ur cards

@@MadKat197 I feel this so hard I had invoked, swordsoul, flowandereeze, psy frame and unchained from just playing all the solo and getting through ranks for a few seasons but the minute I didn't play every day it just tanked my gems and I had to start dismantling

I cannot see this being unbanned with how Pheonix Enforcer is played in every deck. The new go to would be having red eyes and dark magician with red eyes fusion instead of fusion destiny. They'd need to ban verte anaconda for this to be even limited to 1.

@@Novakun DPE isn’t as big of a threat as people make it out to be. Then again, I’m mostly saying that because Crimson Nova the Dark Cubic Lord makes DPE look like a joke.

@@KingNazaru it's utility burn, wasting a negate to counter him or he's gonna blow up backrow. Now imagine the DPE could negate, Pop 2 per turn, have destruction and targeting protection and gain attack for no reason. Unless verte is banned, dragoon is forever banned.

@@Novakun If you can have an access to Branded in Red it's worth it. But I do think it's still a bad idea. Branded Despia is a tiny deck, you don't want to fill your flex spots with vanilla monsters. Barely no one played Dragoon in Branded Despia last format because of the fact it's not consistent

Yes definitely, archetypes shouldn't have to suffer because of verte, with Vertes it's a little too generic but with it banned it's perfectly fine

well, I hope so. But branded despia exist too. They can summon it with hex. Literally just 1 garnet in deck for this absolute beast boss monster. And branded is already top tier in MD. it'll get power up even more.

@@reisen9584 sad thing is that this card is powerful but really easily dealt with, only stress that comes with this card is if you don't get rid of it quickly you just lose card advantage every turn when it pops

@@Novakun then again, this card’s engine is not as broken as DPE (even after banlist). As you have to run Branded or red eyes, which can be bricky in non fusion decks. Unlike DPE that is more sticky than anything else

Btw DPE did took the place of dragoon on tcg. Hence why dragoon was never banned here

@@georgbergsten6050 it'd just be a staple like dpe, 2 bricks in deck(dark magician and red eyes/any dragon) and be the perfect verte target so it's exactly what dpe is used for now except you can pop 2, burn for damage, negate and be untargetable.

Well in terms of crafting it's 1 dark magician and a dragon effect monster so 2 UR including dragoon to be able to negate 1, pop 2 but untargetable, inflcit burn and raise atk is reasonable

Yes but with dragoon arguaby being a worse card than dpe, it's like top decking fusion destiny. Plus then you can't special summon for that turn if you use red eyes fusion, too restrictions for a good but not great card

@@Novakun DPE doesn't have a negate ability. It can only pop one card and one card on yourside of the field. DPE is annoying but compare that to a card that can burn you after it destroys your monster. Master duel doesn't see DPE as that busted. Dragoon is pretty strong for a card that can be used in any deck.

@@kurisu2003 nah dpe actual saw play on tcg as dragoon did not, it flopped and is considered an overhyped card. This singular boss monster who can be destroyed by a negate, a kaiju, skill drain, psy frame gear gamma, dark ruler, droplet or literally chaining anything after it's negate. It's a simple card to get rid of and it's powerful but not this godly card or anything

Not to mention dpe is more of a threat dodging things like banish effects by chaining itself and blowing up itself and another card every turn. Dragoon pretty much a stronger baronne and baronne is easy to deal with. Non targetting destruction or even negation Kills this card

@@Novakun Sorry but I do not agree that it's a 'simple card to get rid of', you mentioned it can be destroyed by: Negate: Dragoon is untargateable and cannot be destroyed by card effects so although you may be able to negate activation of its effects you can't destroy it. Remember also it gets 2 pops per turn coupled with its ability to negate, you'll be using up all your negates defensively. Kaiju: Yes, this will work but only on your turn, after it has ravaged your board and lp Skill drain: Not many players use this as it id counter productive to their own plays. Psy frame: Assuming you have no monsters on the field (meaning Dragoon is unlikely to activate its effects anyway) it may negate Dragoon but not destroy it as you imply due to Dragoons protection Dark ruler: Effective but like Kaiju, it can only be used on your turn hence it may have already done a lot of damage Droplet: Probably the most effective way to deal with Dragoon (no argument here) Chaining after negate: Could work but again it's untargateable and immune to card effect destruction so not many cards are going to be effective doing this. As you can see, your solutions are not as practical as you think. I take your point on you not being able to summon anything else that turn but if you can take out 3 of your opponent's monsters and almost deplete their lp in a single turn you don't really need additional summons. I just think that given its exploitation potential it is far too powerful hence why it is banned.

I feel like infinitely targets a monster and he can't be targeted but seriously ash blossom counters, super poly, droplet, dark ruler, a bunch of stuff. He'd be fine, strong if you don't have the out but yeah he'd be fine.

but we're using more of an ocg banlist more than a tcg one. Like maxx c is at 3 just ocg. I don't think thats the right choice seeing how I'd assume there would be more international players that use the tcg rules

What they Sonia giving us cards that are even outdated, but a banlist that is based on cards that are far ahead of us. They should just let us choose wich list we want to apply.

If you use mark magician and red eyes then it's twice per turn

Cause dragoon is an untargetable, indestructible, negate with a potential pop 2 per turn to inflict burn. I still don't think it should be forbidden but it's better than Zeus, the supporting archetype and cards to fuse it with are not good tho

Everyone says Red-Eyes has potential but Konami is holding it back and every support card has a lot of flaws. Sadly, I only use Red-Eyes because it's easy to understand I know how it works and I haven't played Yu-Gi-Oh in years

Yeah sorta the reason I want verte banned before this card is legal, don't need a generic pop 2, negate being made so easily. If you don't draw the out and get rid of it, you just lose more and more card advantage every turn

Well it's only twice per turn and I'm pretty sure it's when you use red eyes and dark magician specifically as material.

@@yudan366 yeah it's pretty much an offline master duel fresh account and within the text files in the folder you can unlock all cards, turn off banlists, add custom duels, all that.

(as in the worst of the worst) they give DM and BEWD EVEN MORE SUPPORTS and every one is just broken wile red eyes the best they have is a boss monster that every one uses and even him is treated as a DM monster, and 2 supports the 1st is true uselessness and the 2nd is like the boss I just don't understand, what is wrong with konami? Every good red eyes is all of the place like darkness metal or too hard to use like there gimmenai!

@@KingNazaru forget about MAX The chaos form, it was mad for BLS, DM and BEWD, we have something far weaker that CAN be stronger and that is red eyes's lord of the red, not the point tho Wile it is true that it is mostly common for them to have a-like cards to each other, but the issue us konami doesn't even want to go with the main idea of the deck: Blue eyes is all about BEWD or over 3/4 k broken monsters DM is the same but for spells a D traps But red eyes? It is about eather burn or AN EVOLOVED FORMS of joey's monsters to be red eyes, even this konami doesn't want to do it, like there is just jinzo, gilford and his lv 4 monsters, i think they only want red 5for the saying : blue eyes this red eyes that and as showing that blue eyes will be treated better then to TRUELY treat it as a deck that is one of the most loved, liked and Respectd monsters in all of yugioh ( no really anyone who talks about Red eyes will say something like it being one of his all time/most fav decks or monsters)

@@thedarkebika9488 The deck doctor did a video on how to improve the Red Eyes archetype. Focusing more on the revive and burn aspects with the evolved forms. Granted this video was made before Dragun of Red Eyes existed, but it would still be nice support.
