I don’t care how many times I got it right on the test in ninth grade social studies. I still don’t understand the difference between Congress, the Senate and the US House of Representatives.
It's about women's overall health, not just reproductive issues. I'm past childbearing age and rely on ACA (formerly known as Obama care)for my health! Also Medicare/S.S.
Then I suggest you go on over to Theo Von‘s podcast and drop down into the comment section and let people know that millions of Americans like yourself rely on the affordable care act for their healthcare and that’s the one thing that Donald Trump plans to do day one in office is dismantle the millions of Americans. Theos whole point of bringing Trump on was bc of his concern about big pharma and hospitals getting away with charging whatever they want and Donald Trump just sat there, bald face lying, and all of the people in the comment section think they are voting for a man that is going to improve Healthcare when in fact he’s gonna throw 1 millions of Americans off of Healthcare!
That is the reason I just can't wrap my head around why any woman would vote for republicans. Why would anyone want people that want to harm you decide on your healthcare?
Thank you for pointing out the Joe Biden, a man who dedicated himself to public service , is passing the torch to all of us. We can not sit back and hope for the best, we need to be part of the campaigning, give what we can , vote Blue and stay engaged. Just like the Greatest Generation fought fascism , we must do it now and here.
I do not vote for one man, I vote to save Democracy, the Constitution and Rule of Law.......I vote for the health and resilient people of the American Freedom..... Harris/Walz
Toss in Boebert and Gaetz, along with MTG. Hakeem Jeffries will be a great speaker of the House. His calm demeanour and leadership will steady the house and suppress the clown show.
@@reinemarais4392 And Mike Johnson. He's probably more dangerous than the others since he can actually think, has a modicum of patience & can seem to be innocuous.
Thank you, thank you, thank you, President Biden. The nation is grateful for your brave and lasting service. Vote Blue, everyone, and let's move forward. We will not go back!
It is amazing!...When wondering who the other side would pick for VP there were no real options..vs. so many hopeful future contender for being a part of the future. Wow!

No, he would be replacing Johnson, a Republican and the current House Speaker, once the Democrats again have the majority in the US House of Representatives.
This new leader is amazing well educated man, don’t forget that most people don’t like honest person because they like to hear lies and nonsense from other people like low personality like Donald Trump. He will be the next speaker of the House Representative.
We have had 2 properly elected female Prime Ministers and both were extremely competent and did tremendously well. (Helen Clarke and Jacinda Adern). USA has nothing to fear in voting for Kamala.
Yes but you have a stable country... America doesn't have the most stable or well informed people. Hopefully we have a massive blue wave in Nov to start changing that.💙

If we want Kamala to win, we have to give her the tools to do so. If you can, please volunteer, donate, phone bank, text bank, knock on doors, and write postcards, especially in the swing states of PA, MI, WI, NV, AZ, GA, and NC. You can also do the same for competitive Senate races in MT and OH so that Democrats keep control of the Senate and appoint new Supreme Court justices.
@@joquartobeans398, Re: _"Where/ who can one contact about volunteering?"_ Thank you for asking! Contact your local office of the Democratic party! Even though I live in a GOP majority state, I found the democratic party well organized, very active, and highly motivated. And yes, there is something for everyone to do, whether they realize it or not. I'm painfully shy and introverted, so not going out of my way to meet strangers. However, I have a covered truck, so the Dems put me to work hauling and storing campaign supplies. None of us can do it all, but each of us can do something.

I love Hakeem, like I love Nancy Pelosi. She made an excellent choice of Hakeem to replace her as Minority Speaker, and with any luck, and hard work, I hope in November that we win the House BIG, and that Hakeem is Speaker OF The HOUSE! Harris /Walz 2024!
My friend lives in Richmond Virginia shes married and has been for 25yrs to the most lovely guy its an interracial marriage with kids, I worry like crazy about their safety if Trump takes this presidency
@@jangreen7812 The Heritage Society that created Project 2025 for Trump is a white Christian Nationalist organization. They are the most staid face of that movement, along with the Federalist Society that packed the corrupt Supreme Court. More secretive groups are handling more extreme plans. They are NOT subject to Freedom of Information Act. However, Christian Nationalist people have spoken what their beliefs are. The New Apostolic Reformation is the most extreme publicly known CN group. A documentary on the Christo-fascist movement is now available called 'Bad Faith'. This stuff is kept secret, and coded for their believers to understand the true meaning. A revealed example of normal Republican chicanery is GOP strategist Thomas Hofeller: after his death, his daughter found and released the files she found where the North Carolina Republican Party plotted to block voting by "non-Hispanic whites" (by which they mean indigenous descent, rather than full European Spaniards). The full files are available free online, though just searching RU-vid will get a few clips. Opensecrets dot org follows money connections between these billionaire conspirators.
The stakes are higher than ever before... Hope y'all get to see Michele Obama & Barack Obama's speeches. They felt hugely consequential. Vote Blue up & down the ticket. We can debate policy latrr. This is sbout survival! We must each do our part.
WE did out part for years only to be told that we have no choice in our nominee.Only to be told that after years of fund raising and door kocking that its OUT WITH THE OLD IN WITH THE NEW...so we are OUT!
We sure do! I have been a member of the Democratic Party since I started voting, ( I am 60 years old) always aware of what is going on in it, no matter HOW busy I am!) This is the best our Party has ever been, and I am SO PROUD of it!! SO many great, quality people.
Gonna have to, aren't they? The GOP is dead as a democratic party. It is alive and unwell as an autocratic party that has tied its last hopes to a convicted felon. Do not for one second drop your guard. They may not go easily.
@martinshewfelt1236 What mystery? He decided what was best for the country. He decided when he decided. He was only the presumptive democratic nominee. Harris/Walz 2024 Vote blue 💙
@@martinshewfelt1236 No mystery. He chose country over himself. He said that out loud. He had previously stated before 2020 win that he would be there four years, but then felt that he should stay to defeat Trump, again. He then chose to step back.
We have been brutally traumatized by the Trump years and the fallout from the constant misinformation, fear, hatred, and divisiveness of his movement. We all feel cautious, but we are definitely feeling the hope! It. was stunning watching the joy erupting throughout the night at the DNC -and then seeing a video of a lackluster, depressing, dishonest Trump airing his grievances and disinformation and insults yesterday. Trump does not do campaigning, he does camPLAINING!
Absolutely. Voting is your only superpower everyone who is of a thoughtful mind and respects and honors, and is willing to defend our democracy needs to vote blue. It truly is as simple as that
Jeffries is brilliant, charismatic, intense, down-to-earth, and commanding. Formidable. The last person you'd want to run afoul of-likewise, the first person you'd want on your side. Other than Nancy Pelosi, I mean. 😂

Only if we vote. We cannot be complacent. We need to vote and we need to convince our friends and family to vote. We need a blue tsunami in November so President Harris can actually work on helping the American people.
Shouldn't the question be....Just how arrpgant and corrupt is the leadership in the U.S? We already know that some people will say and do anything for money and power. I am an older American, and I have never seen anything like these self-serving people. Since Drumpf hit the door, integrity is passe and honest people are called sheep.
And what about haters of democracy? Haters of compassion, which they see as weakness. People who live in hate and say they are religious. If that is religion, it is Satanic as hell.
As a Scottish viewer, I hope my Democrat American friends appreciate just how stacked their bench is in terms of political talent. Hakeem Jefferies, AOC, Jasmine Crockett, Jamie Raskin, Eric Swalwell, president Obama, and of course Kamala Harris and Tim Walz. Y'all should be especially grateful when you contrast people of that caliber with the likes of Lauren Boebert, MTG, trump, and JD Vance. Excited to see America do the right thing come November

I never thought much of the push for the Equal Rights Amendment until Roe fell. A supreme court that can take away Roe can go back to the original interpretation of rights for "men" as well.
And Biden, Harris and Netanyahu should be charged with war crimes in The Hague over the genocide in Palestine. Both Democrats and Republicans are warmongers and should not be in power.
He is a thief and the Israeli public knows this. Once the peace is secured the Israelis have expressed their desire to get Bibi out of office. Now I would like the settlers in the West Bank to go home. Americans are settling on Palestinian land or getting tax breaks in the U.S. for investing in buying up the West Bank.
Kudos to Colbert for asking the Israel/Gaza question more than once. He handled the protest very capably. But neither Jeffries nor Pelosi gave satisfying answers. They're sticking with a political line rather than saying what they personally feel. Somebody has to speak more forcibly about the tragedy that is Netanyahu as a leader in Israel. And we cannot continue to supply weapons and money if we're serious about a two state solution.
I wholeheartedly agree. It feels to me like they’re appeasing their biggest donor (AIPAC) until Harris/Walz win the election, and as many of the downballot races that are needed for a supermajority are won. Because they need that money to campaign in all the races, to win. Cynical as that may sound (and it’s only my opinion), that’s unfortunately how politics works.
Joe Biden deserves some real credit for the current unity of the Democratic Party. Over the past several years, he has managed to work harmoniously with its various factions towards shared policy goals. In my view, he is one of the most underappreciated presidents we have ever had in the U.S. and deserves our gratitude for all he has accomplished and for putting country before ego.
Joe Biden makes the world's most difficult job look easy. In Washington politics, the more experienced a person is, and the better they do their job, the less obvious it is they're doing it. Things they want to happen just come about as if by magic.
