4:30 your scratch status has to be "scratcher" instead of "New scratcher" in order to use projects with cloud variables (which is how online scratch games are made) You can become a scratcher by sharing a few projects

For multiplayer in scratch to work you need your account to be a scratcher account instead of a new scratcher, as someone who used to code using it I ran into this ploblem when making a alt account to test multiplayer in my game.

The account won't work. Scratch uses cloud variables, and you have to be an active member of the community for them to work. So basically you were playing alone and that broke the game.
