Oh, wow! That is so true! I worked in a hotel (in UK) and a bar lady worked from 9am till 3pm. I always said if queen if England showed up, she would say: hey, queen is sitting in the lounge, can someone go take her order, I'm off" 😂
“Hiya, you alright? Good you? Good you? Good you? Right give me your hands then *beep beep beep beep* oh I’m so sorry, my shift just literally finished~” “Ohhh, yeah, so I finish 5pm on a Wednesday. Oh don’t let me keep you~” “So sorry. Noo it’s fine, you take care now, alright~ *zooms off* no worries!”
In America, if your shift is over and a customer asks for your help before you leave the building, and you tell them your shift is over, your boss will likely reprimand you and possibly even fire you, as in their eyes you are representing the company as long as you are wearing their uniform.
In some jobs here in the uk, we are paid by the minute so you actually have to clock off bang on time. Where I worked in a supermarket they’d actually get annoyed if people stayed later than their time 😂.
This short deserves sooo many more likes... 😂 such a classic British office scene brilliantly reimagined. Ps: immediately thinking of the year end performance review for Wander Woman, where she took on feedback to reduce her wandering and put a watch to ensure she clocks off on time.
