today I am filming my school's ballet class students doing the flexibility stretching and flipping exercise. this is part 2

Declaiming:
Please don't imitate the training in this video by yourself. The students in the video are professional dancers and have been studying for more than one year. The teachers have more than five years of teaching experience, so they dare to train students like this.
The students in the video are challenging to a higher level of flexibility, so the training of the teachers is more severe. But this kind of training is harmless because the students have already warmed up before the training, the bones and muscles have been totally relaxed, after the training, the students will get the corresponding auxiliary massage to eliminate the muscle pain.
Everyone has limited ability to withstand the pain, so you can see some of the students screaming or crying in the video, and some students are not. but This is good in flexibility training, If it is not painful, that means students have not broken his or her own limit, then he or she will not make progress, and such pain is controllable. also screaming or crying helping them to relieve the pain, then they can hold in that position for enough time, that is the goal when doing the flexibility stretching.

for people that might be worried, I did these some of these stretches for years being a majorette, a tumbler and a cheerleader. It improves flexibility greatly. Like with the stretch at :48 , you start off by pushing down a bit and as you keep on doing it you push further and further down and sooner or later it really doesn't hurt very much

Dahami Mudalige it will hurt very much but if you do it over extended periods of time you won’t feel a thing :) it actually feels rlly good and helps a ton w ur flexibility :))

A gente, não precisa ser assim não! Isso pode causar até lesões na pessoa. Eu era SUPER dura( SUPER MESMO). comecei treinar em casa vendo alongamento (principalmente alogamentos gringos, para INICIANTE) e fiz tudo no meu limite, sem forçar de mais. Meu corpo foi se acostumando e as dores começaram a ser BEM menos e eu ganhei alongamento sem precisar fazer nada disso

It may look reasonable for dancing but, I learned from experience, it's their method. At 24, as an exchange student in a university martial art course, they used to teach me the split by having one girl straightening the leg at the back and the other pushing on my shoulders.... It worked but it was a bit risky, at 24 you are not exactly malleable... I was not training for competitions and it hurt like hell...

These stretches are actually good for dancers (not the back band over the barre - that's an easy injury right there if you are not already super flexible and properly conditioned. Also, the harsh thrusts are not an effective way to do this and the barre is making you stretch only some parts of your back - not the most important parts at that.) but stretching to the point of screaming and crying from pain is usually the point where you are getting yourself (of someone else in this situation) injured. Stretching should be smart. It hurts and it should if you want effects, but shouldn't hurt this much if you are doing it right. Stretching someone else needs to involve communication and being kind to each other. Knowing your limits and touching them, crossing them just a little bit, not to the point where you would be seriously hurt. I'm a dance teacher and I know this kind of training is common in some places, but I think it shouldn't happen. I heard stories about kids stretched to the point of crying when they don't have proper conditioning in their training and have no muscle strength whatsoever. Dancers in many places are not taught to strengthen before stretching, the importance of having stability in joints before bending them in every possible direction. They should be taught the mechanism behind useful flexibility, and I say useful because there are many dancers who can do oversplits but are not able to hold their leg at the 90-degree angle for a few seconds. That being said, this kind of workout is not for most people, but I believe these are professional classical dancers. You can see they are very flexible and usual stretches don't do anything for them. Therefore they are taught this way of stretching, hopefully after a great warm-up and conditioning. I'd just like to see them doing it slower, with more thoughtfulness and kindness for their bodies at some points.

Я 6 лет ходила на акробатику и 3 на акробатический рок-н-ролл. Мы очень часто,по долгу,стояли у стенки на поперечном шпагате. И учительницы стояли над самыми деревянными. Ещё могли очень долго сидеть на коленях тех у кого не красивая походка,сидели на спинах,если нужно лечь животом на пол и т.д. И это были цветочки по сравнению с данным роликом.мало кто может представить эту беспомощность,муки боли,слёзы.... просто ужасно. Многие девочки так рвут свои плевы

Мой внук прекрасно чувствует музыку и ритмично двигается .. Я прошла школу хореографии, сама танцевала, и с детьми занималась ..Есть очень много творческих профессий, без боли и мучений!!! Моего внука я сумею отговорить от этого мазохизма.

this is giving me war flashbacks from my days when i was in a taekwondo class... omfg don't even get me started, i don't KNOW how I ended up in that class i swear I thought it was just a fun stretching and yoga program for students THEN SUDDENLY they started doing these stuff to us 😭😭😭 i never attended it again after 2 days... somehow they tricked all 7th graders up to 8th graders so basically 4 WHOLE BUILDINGS...

These girls are handpicked and they started very young, These photos will be forgotten when they make their debut in a few years time. They will open their own ballet school or married some rich man so when they look back what they have done now is nothing is the ticket to caviar and champagne. Just like the two Olympians who married one of the richest family in Hong Kong. And the other one a highly paid government official which is older than her at least half my age.

no it’s not. you stretch the body like that everyday and you get extremely flexible. you can’t slack off as a dancer. you either cry and be pain and endure and be the best or you slack off, whining about it being too hard. life doesn’t hand things to you. better to be trained than to regret not doing this later. pls don’t talk if ur not a dancer

K Z if you know how to properly stretch the students then there is a less of a chance that you will tear or break a body part. I went through this when I danced when I was younger. I cried, but my teacher knew how to stretch me so I never got hurt.

@@katyy1218 I knew someone who was pushed into a stretch once at a ballet intensive, they tore cartilage in her hip and she had to have surgery because she was in pain just walking after that. She was only in HS when that happened. It's helpful to assist a student, but never good to be forceful. The teacher should also be teaching the student how to communicate what their body is saying so they can get what they need but say stop when they it's becoming too intense.

They are pretty normal tho. Yes it hurts but only for the moment. Key is to release from strech correctly otherwise you might end up injuring ur muscle.

Those people who complain about the video are not dancers, like its a normal scenario for us (well for me i guess?) We are being stretched alot but i know it increases or endurance and flexibility lol stop over reacting
