True, but you can't say that for all artists. BeBe Winans was at my parents church this Father's Day....he's an artist but I don't view him that way. I understand that some of them are controlled but not all. In almost every interview I see this girl do, she mentions or praises God. At a Destiny's Child concert, she sang a gospel song for her solo part in the show. At a secular concert.....I get your point, I just don't think it's applied to her.
michelle has always been an open church girl, destiny's child albums have gospel songs, theys cocerts had gospel secctions, and the only R&B oriented michelle album have inpirational songs. she is an example of how to stay humble and how to follow God commandments and stay the entertainment industry. her music makes me strong, and i'm looking forward this album because i know this songs will help me in so many ways.

@Dc3Fan: I'd say start at The Truth May Scare You series, and if nothing else. Watch the first 3 videos, as they help to explain whats happening. Then if you keep on the series. In the videos in common with the series, you'll see videos that really begin to wake you up. They can't all be coincidental, chopped, and pasted videos. Then look up The Possession Of Beyonce. Then start looking for Backmasking songs from artist like Bey, Jay Z, Aaliyah, etc. That's all I'm asking.
You're right. Not all are controlled, and when they try to get out of it they're either pulled back in, ostracized, or killed. Type in Lauryn Hill, Eminem, Britney Spears, Dru Hill. Really try any artist with that after their name. Dave Chapelle made good points. Michael Jackson is a hero to me for trying to rise up against them by asking his fans for help. Honestly i can't recall what brought me to this page. Sometimes I let my thirst for understanding whats around us guide me. It took me to this page, and then I saw the pics they used for Michelle, and it saddened me. The way they plastered the signs of her involvement with the wrong crowd., and sometimes artist don't have a choice on the matter. I don't even care for the vast majority of popular music. I listen mainly to gospel jazz blues and r&b. But so what if DC3 reunites again? They do all the time. what do you mean flip flop? Why is it not okaty for her to do both? I don't mind it as long as you are not singing about things God wouldn't approve of and I think she balances it well. MOST popular artists wouldn't because their secular music is crappy and doesn't promote positivity.
Not every gospel singer is his word. It's really just a matter of learning this world for what it is. That doesn't mean be afraid, or paranoid. It just means you're more armed with God's armor. Lets say this is a gospel song, is it a gospel song until DC3 reunites? You can flip flop with God's message when you're an impressionable figure to his children. I definitely apologize if I came off in a condescending way. I think my approach comes from a for lack of a better word "hurt" place. I was all about SWV, Destiny's Child's. Even their solo work. I was jamming out to their music since I was 16. Then I kept being show this proof that we live in the world like The Matrix. I took the pill that took me out of it. yes it is secular music. I happen to listen to all kinds of music; not a huge fan of rap to be honest. I feel if it's in good taste it is okay. @CrewDog So this is why it's nearly impossible to help people see past the wool placed over their eyes. You have to be able to show them the unseen. Being a former fan of music since I was a kid. I watched these artist grow and change, and their "musical evolution" turned me away from secular music. It also brought me closer to wanting to be in God's house after it's all over, and that is sooner than we think.

I'll touch on your thoughts on songs about sex. I'm going to address the more important observation you pointed out. I was a fan of DC. It was the fact that I was a former fan, that I'm able to speak with truth and conviction. They can sing for whomever, at the end of the day if it's not of God, it's secular. Go do your research on God's take on secular music.
