Eurovision is my passion. Eurovision was my work and I am still gladly part of the professional community of this project. I started at Eurovision 2016 as Czech Head of Delegation. Such a Eurovision story! Form Eurovision in Sweden I went to antoher ESC experience. Kiiv 2017 Eurovision. This was my first and last failiur. Sometimes you need to learn trough losing even it is not plasant. We ended up 13 in the semifinal, second best score of Eurovision Czechia back then. But after this we established ESCZ national selection format. It was mostly held online. Because of this we found Mikolas Josef who went 6th at Eurovision 2018 in Portugal. Than 11th with Lake Malawi, at Eurovision 2019 in Tel Aviv, Israel.
Eurovision story is crazy. After finding all candidates and songs (-1) for ESCZ 2020 I resigned and left the television for working freelance.
Not to stop being part of Eurovision, I created this channel as I have an urge not to do just Eurovision Reactions from a different perspective. But also to do national selection reactions, watch others how they do their craft and also give a different approach for Eurovision fans.
I am very glad was part of many eurovision juries. Mostly in national selection and since 2017 I was in MGP Norway, Eurovision Malta, UMK national selection Finland. Juror in Melodifestivalen 2016. Biggest national selection. Also helped Eurovision Ireland, Eurovision Estonia, Eurovision Azerbaijan and many others.
Just amazing to be part of this community, so check my Humans of Eurovision, check my Eurovision reaction videos.

Whoever did translation of that part of podcast did such a terrible job that one must ask was it purposely with bad intention. He did not said Bambi barked like a dog but "she was screaming: "This is a festival of love and peace!" while foaming like dog with rabies". Bit unfortunate term but it is very in use in ex-Yu region when someone is angry and yelling. And it happened, obviously, we all saw it.

Professionalism of performers on stage and off stage is one of the most important things that the EBU community must insist on. Whatever Marko's opinions are about different topic, as you said, he kept them all to himself and kept Eurovision clean which is admirable, unlike those who kept pushing political agendas and trying to gain votes by supporting one side of a conflict which has nothing to do with them. Some of the artists were so vocal against Israel this year to a level in which they had been talking about it even before they were selected as their country's act. The EBU has let the contest become more and more political and we see artists coming to Eurovision with the sole purpose of promoting their own agendas, while forgetting they represent a whole country with many different opinions, in a contest which was created to unite people. If the EBU wants the contest to stay alive and become a-political, they should start disqualifying people for political statements. That letter, signed by 10 countries, is a clear political statement during a Eurovision season, using that platform to gain more views. They can think and say whatever they want before they try to represent a country and of course when the contest ends. Besides that, the fans should really chill. Marko spoke about Bambie and other artists being too dramatic and described the Israeli delegation as not as bad as people might think, and look what fans forced him to do - release a statement about the war, as if anything in that interview had anything to do with it... That is how "woke" people are destroying everything - using fear. The fans are as political as some of the artists, and they are destroying the Eurovision spirit they claim they want to save. We could all argue about the Israeli song, whether it was political or not, but one thing is for sure - the Israeli delegation did nothing wrong. People in the arena were overreacting when it came to Israel. All the dangers and the toxicity of the season was caused by those artists, fans and tons of protestors. Hoping for a peaceful contest in 2025, and of course, a peaceful world.
@JanBors
@JanBors 2 месяца назад
I will just say, that right to protest or giving political statements outside of Eurovision has anyone, this is a right I will fight for. Also the right to criticise it is at the place. What I think should follow further punishments are political statements inside the Eurovision bubble, just simply don't belong there as you say, this contest represents hundreds of milions of people with different opinions and it cannot put artists agendas in front, however they feel its important. It's an absolute selfishness and unprofessionalism if you even say, how many other outlets they have. Ofc somethings were funny - like, one artist would boycott Eurovision but... yes, not that stupid to don't have a promo out of it. Basically made the amazing promo. Not sure if it worth it those 5 minutes of fame... but thats it. People are different, but again, the ones who screams for the most tolerance and respect are the ones who has no clue what those words really mean.
@roy.moreno

As usual you are very gentle and patient. What Marco described was a bunch of Immature condecending brats with anger managment issues. Comparing it to the olympics such scenes did not happen and I guess it's not just the level of singing that ia law in Eurovision.

@@isi9061 I agree, many delegations failed this year. But this maybe is for another video. I just feel even talented people among producers resigned on the fact, they cannot rly act like producers, make decisions and being a bit more tough. @CoxaBranca
@CoxaBranca 2 месяца назад
There are quite a few important differences between the Olympics and Eurovision that exacerbated the latter. Do people vote for athletes? Do athletes communicate hidden messages when they perform their sport? Does the Olympics have a shady title sponsor? There's a lot more to what went down at Eurovision than "politics", "war" and "religion", even without those things there were other issues that if you can start acknowledging you can start building a bridge to a solution (for Eurovision, not the conflict).
@isi9061
@isi9061 2 месяца назад
@@CoxaBranca The main differance is that in the olympics the judges ruled according to quality and achievments. In eurovision they vote according to where you come from' not just in connection to Israel but whether you are from the "enlightened" west or not. And the sponser is shady why? because the owner is a jewish woman?
@CoxaBranca
@CoxaBranca 2 месяца назад
@@isi9061 When the EBU doesn't follow its own rules about song submission, judges can use their ethical judgement to consider voting or not, and several did vote. It's the equivalent of testosterone in the Olympics. Just because you can't test positive at the competition, doesn't mean you can juice up ahead of the competition. This is the effect submitting, on purpose, a song with lyrics that are not allowed before the competition and then singing a song with lyrics that are allowed at the competition. As for the company, it has nothing to do with gender or religion, they are shady because of cultural appropriation and we don't know how much monetary influence they are having on EBU decisions. As Jan suggests, the EBU is having a lot of problems with communication, it can't just be because they are dumb, there are other powers at play.
